Free Rune Readings~I'm learning to read runes. So if you want to have me read them for you, send me a note or leave a comment. If you want it to be more private, a note would be best.Free Rune Readings~1 year ago in Personal More Like This
I will read the runes and explain the situation for free. If you want me to do multiple readings or work with you in a deeper level, I may charge a small fee. Feel free to leave some points if you're happy with your reading.
Also, share with your friends! Rune reading is a very fun and accurate art, very eye opening and often right-on the problem.
Apparel Collection: CMYThe most difficult part of putting a piece of art on a printed surface is making sure it translates successfully. This design came about after I created a presentation for my co-workers on color theory. A lot of studying went into the lecture, and because I was presenting to deviantART staff, I wanted to make sure everything I was saying was on point. Color theory has everything to do with association -- in other words, how the colors live next to each other on the color wheel in the visual spectrum. When looking at your screen, it takes the three colors – red, green, and blue added together on a black canvas -- to make all of the colors you are seeing. But in traditional media and print technologies, it takes three other colors starting from the white canvas to make the infinitely wide gamut of hues: cyan, magenta, and yellow. In theory, mixing the three colors (referred to collectively as “CMY”) will make black, but in most cases, it makes an organic dark grey. Apparel Collection: Movie TimeTo wear this shirt is to cast yourself as the main character in the film of your life, with the dynamic and brightly colored images that make our days as beautifully composed as any award-winning movie. Art is a projection of your creative vision, so project it proudly!Apparel Collection: Movie Time1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Art exists across many media, from the very static to the super dynamic. Moving-picture media is a great subject matter, and it is the inspiration for this graphic illustration.
This design began on tracing paper with a sharpie marker as fast and furious lines over a pencil drawing. Knowing that this would be a shirt graphic and wanting to mix up the styles on the collection, I was happy with the drawing but wanted to move a different direction. In searching through images of movie-making and projecting systems, old-school projector technology caught my eye as a relic of times past. It’s all about following the inspiration, and the imagery of this machine that existed as a building block for the film technology we

Today's Special is all about Soft Body Dolls.
What is a Soft Body Doll?
Soft body dolls are constructed from fabrics and enhanced with details made from clay, polymer clay, resin or other more solid materials. Some of these creations have sculpted faces and hands/paws or other such details.
Here is an example of fantastic soft body dolls to be found in the Dolls, Plushies & Toys gallery:
Today I would like to introduce six of the best soft body doll makers here on dA! If you check out the Dolls, Plushies & Toys gallery, you will find an abundance of stunning works from a var

Lumberjack FlannelghanI am working on my brother-in-law's afghan. The pattern is called the Lumberjack Flannelghan. It's a fairly easy pattern, but I recommend being very familiar with double crochet before you try it. I don't know that it was written with novices in mind, even though it's a really good First Afghan project. :lLumberjack Flannelghan11 months ago in Personal More Like This
He bought the yarn for it (6 One Pound skeins of Caron at $8.99 each) a little over a year ago, and I have been working on it off and on since. At first I was like this is a kind of boring pattern, so I worked on it only once in a while. Now I am ashamed to say that it's been over a year since I started this and I'm still not done with it. :iconimsorryplz:
Although I have made some serious progress on it in the last week. His birthday is February 11th, so I am hoping against hope to have it ready by then.
It is made in 5 strips, each strip is 7 blocks measuring 10"x10". I have made 3 full strips and am on the second
Sooraya Qadir CosplayI still need to get better yellow gloves, these ones are more off-white than yellow. I am also waiting on a better niqab, and I need a nicer black shirt, but I suspect I can find plain black sweatshirts well enough, its finding a summer option that's going to be annoying.Sooraya Qadir Cosplay1 year ago in Personal More Like This

With no mods, I'm afraid that there's no backup for when something happens to me.

I'm going through the folders to get it all cleaned up now, and hopefully we can get back on track!
Don't forget.. to validate your novel!Don't forget1 year ago in Personal More Like This
That's right, Validation is now live! To get to the validation page, you can hover over the 'My NaNoWriMo link across the top of the page and select Validate, or you can go to your novel editing page and you should see the validation link in big blue letters!
In order to win, you MUST run your novel through the validator. Otherwise your bar will remain blue and you wont count as an official winner.
I would advise everyone to try and validate early for two reasons:
1) There are ALWAYS discrepancies between Writing programs and the Validatos, so if Word thinks you have reached 50k, the validator may not agree.
2) Lots of people will be validating and sometimes this can lead to the website crashing. Do it early to make sure you can access the website!

Kami-Con!Yay!Kami-Con!1 year ago in Personal More Like This
The fine people at Kami-Con finally allowed people to buy tables at their Artists' Alley and I jumped on that the minute I saw it. This will be our third Kami-Con and I have to say I'm looking forward to it. Ever since we started doing conventions, this one has stood out as low-stress, high fun, and yes - good profits. Because we don't need to get a hotel room, our profits are even better than at AWA!
I noticed that this year they'll be collecting Birmingham city sales tax at the convention rather than letting the artists submit it on their own. It surprised me, but it's not a big deal; it's probably something Birmingham requires them to do. Whatevs, I just need to remember to bring my checkbook with me - I would feel uneasy about handing them a wad of cash, for some reason.
Oh, I am so relieved! I just need to fill out the contract and send it in. And pay for the table, of course. So wonderful!
And now I need to turn to the ugly specter of Production and get some stuff ready to s

Scattered thoughtsWell the end of the year is rolling in like a fierce work-lion for me, both at home and at my paying jobs.Scattered thoughts1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Firstly my three part time jobs in the Geo department. For one I need to process five new rock samples (once they come in) as well as my current batch of several (hard work), For the collections job, I have hundreds of invertebrate specimen cards to check with the database (tedious work). Lastly, the museum is in re-assembly stage and I am having to paint some casts for them (fun work). Those combined means I will be busy busy at work, and likely pulling full 8hr days until break (Yay! but tiring).
At home, I have christmas gifts to box and ship before Friday, an Inkle strip to get warped and woven (as a good friend finally decided what he wants for christmas), and more wool to clean, as I have spun all I have cleaned already,
Now add to that helping to decorate at my husband's work, waiting for ram to come in for my desktop (fan was failing and motherboard

Originally what i wrote was just me bitching about how my dad hogged the computer all thanksgiving break from day to night for like 4 days and when i finally was able to get on it, it was acting all buggy because my dad insists on torrenting movies instead of streaming them even though our HDD is full to the rim that i have to save my stuff to an external ;A; and he will be on it all day today too cuz he took a day off work...and even though its 5:30am i tried to sneak on and write this and he wanted to get on -sigh- IM GUNNA WRITE THIS ANYWAYS SO NYEH.
ANYWAYYY. Today I pierced my own third ear lobe hole myself today LOL. in total I had to stab myself 6 times to get them both in, but it really didn't hurt that much L

I need people to read my work as I edit it and give me constructive feedback and such. It doesn't have to be pure literary feedback or anything, but I just want feedback from the eyes of different readers/writers.
Basically, how it will work is that you let me know if you want to help me, and I'll give you a password to a Google Docs document that will be updated frequently with updates from the story and stuff, and then you can leave comments there and such. I might make it where you can see other people's comments too and such, so it's kind of social while reading. I mean, you don't have to be dedicated to it, but I'd really appreciate it if some people could help provide constructive criticism.
(If I'm happy with the help provided, I might even knit you a free doll or something...I'm still pondering that).
So yeah, if you have any questions or are interested,
