The Sleeping HeartA boy lies in bed in a hospital room. He's been in a strange coma for almost a week now. The people close to him asked the doctor what the cause was. The doctor stays silent for a second and slowly begins to tell them that there is some strange chemical imbalance in the boy's body. This kind of problem has never been seen before, he told them, but he had discovered what could possibly be the cause. He told them that it might sound strange, and unrealistic, but the boy had died of a broken heart. The boy's company couldn't believe it.
Before they said anything to the doctor quickly stated that he once had a depression patient that had almost similar signals and didn't improve with any medicine, or treatment. The doctor did tests on him for certain things, and none of them came out good. Until one week, someone started visiting him, and his symptoms quickly improved. That patient had fallen in love with this person and was better quicker than ever. The doctor had made follow up appointme
LoveLove can be many things,Love3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
A rose, a poem, anything.
It can also to amazing,
Love has rebuilt walls,
And torn down habits.
It is killed off diseases,
Stitching things back together.
Love has led to wonderful people,
Just well as creating them too,
When they were down and wilted,
Reborn and lively.
Love eats away at our time,
Although it is worth it,
Because for her, you'd catch a million stars,
And bead them into a necklace.
Some people think it's just a myth,
They think it'll never happen,
But soon enough they will see
Love's truest and greatest powers.

I couldn’t feel anything but the pounding
in my head and the butterflies in my tummy
and for a second there, you had me going
you really had me thinking you loved me
but all summers end;
you left to make room for autumn
and had no extra space in your life for me
(but you could still fit everything you gave me into your back pocket;
every kiss, every touch, every whispered word)
I know you could carry the weight of my hand in yours
one by one you caught my butterflies
until I felt nothing for you at all
you had held me enough times for me to know

But now things have changed.
You don't try anymore, you don't move anymore
My love for you has been replaced with anger and sadness
You are never there for me, I'm dust on your shoulder
They tell me to give you a chance
But I wont
I've given you more than enough chances
Three years worth
Your time is up
I'm done with you, I want nothing to do with you
You're dead to me
I hate you
You're not my father, you're a stranger with no emotion
You don't care
I'm not sure you ever did
Tell me, did you ever love me
Oh wait, that's right
You don't talk to me anymore
I don't want you to talk to me anymore
Mom doesn't love you
You're practically divorced as it is
I'm perfectly fine with that
I tell her it'd be better if you were an absent father than being here
You did the same to my older brother
He wants nothing to do with you
Yet the youngest looks at you like you're the world
Like I used to look at you
But you'll r

May be unknown to many,
But will rise to the top.
A band with only good intentions,
Yet has been hurt,
But never backing down.
Speaking from their heart,
Knowing they want to make a difference,
In this falling world.
Music that has cleared the thoughts,
Don't like this band,
Because they've only heard the silly songs,
The songs that get people happy and joyful.
If you've got nothing nice to say,
Don't say anything.
In my experience,
Blood on the Dance Floor has helped many,
Including my friend.
These songs have deeper meanings.
A good band,
Filled with people who want to leave a mark,
For the better,
For the people,
For the world.

Is happy and carefree.
But deep down inside,
You are ready to die.
No one knows your story,
They think it's all ok.
I know what has happened,
Because you were willing to share.
You suffer in silence,
Because you're afraid to speak.
You know you'll be judged,
If you tell them what happened.
Your way of comfort,
Is not the answer.
So I'll do my best to help,
And not let you suffer in silence.
When You Aren't ThereWhen I'm around, talking withWhen You Aren't There3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
My friends, laughing and joking
Around, and you aren't there,
Most likely I'll feel pain in my
Heart, and I have to fake a smile,
To cover up the heartache. When
You are there, with your own
Friends, I don't have to fake
Anything. The sight of you
Reassures me, tells me that
I'm alright, that this day will
Go smoothly. When you are
There, I need you to stay with
Me, close to me, so I won't fret,
So I won't feel blue anymore.
When you are there, you are

everyone around you as towers
-- or mountains, unmovable.
I can never reach those top cabinets,
not even on tip-toe
(asking for help is not my forté)
my hands are small, too;
when I hold them up to my friends’
sometimes my fingers only make it
halfway up theirs
and are still stuck soft,
I have the hands of a child.
the mirror tells me my stomach is
just fine but pictures
beg to differ;
love handles got too much love
and my belly pokes out just
below its button.
breasts stretch my shirts tight
and sleeves cling to my upper arms.
my affinity for sweets is visible.
that sweet tooth has gotten me
nothing more than a few cavities
and sometimes my mouth aches
but I still smile pretty.
my cheeks are too round;
maybe that’s why they’re so
all of the pinching they suffered
when I was little(r).
my nose is like a button from the front
and sharp from a profile and
has a smattering of freckles

I'll be your support, your shoulder to
Cry on, I will advise you to do what I
Think is best for you, and remember,
Friends forever. I will always be at your
Side, whether or not you need me, I
Will stay to comfort you when you are
Lonely. I am a listerner, so you can
Spew out your problems to me, you
Can let go and I will take the weight
Off of your shoulders. I will be a talker
To help you talk through your problems,
A problem solver, and I will never go,
Even through all the tough times and
The rough words.
Our Perfect New worldOur Perfect WorldOur Perfect New world3 years ago in Concrete Poetry More Like This
The airy crystal city glitters in the rising sun
Seemingly built of light and pure hope
But do not look to the base of the fair city
Do not see the backs, bent from years of harsh toil
Or the deep sad wrinkles like taught wires in the skin of a man far too young
Joyous Citizens cavort through the gaily decorated streets
Chattering blissfully, steeped in wealth and comfort
But avoid the cold agate eyes of a giving mother
Heed not the empty bitter face of a starving child
Or the dogs fighting for the still warm carcass of the dead
Soaring hospitals and colleges filled with the most brilliant minds
Benevolently open to all for free
But not to the men cobbling homes from other's waste
And not to the people binding open sores with filthy rags and mud
Or the emaciated beggars crawling on their stumps of limbs
So embrace the wondrous, glorious Utopia
Luxuriate in the living dreamland
But do not look to the base of the city
Do not see the other side of the world

Hate me, if you dare
I am who I am and I won't change
I won't take back a word I meant
Despise me, say I am deranged
Since to your world order I never bent
Mock me, I don't care
Mock me, if you dare
Your words mean nothing to me at all
Soon your wrath will fall back on you
Insult me and yell at me and squall
Smoke and mirrors, in the end, off they blew
Charge me, I don't care
Charge me, if you dare
Blame me for all things I committed
And for all I have not done
Are you better if I admitted
Them? Too bad, but you still have not won
Bark, little dog, bark
Bite, little dog, bite
Try, little dog. I won't fight with you
You're too indifferent to me
You're not the first, not the last one, too
Who can't (under)stand the way I chose to be

throw into a locked cupboard
i don’t need to live for
meeting once in a poem

playing broken games
to teach their hearts some lesson...
to break the links of their past chains.
Two sodden tragedies that were never understood
Somehow cross paths blindly,
wishing for something true and good.
Talk, fumble, absentmindedly
Hoping against hope,
heart, fall already!
But with both hands on the rope
we will never slip, too steady
Only wishing we could sway...
But we fight another day.
Getting to you, fumbling
for words that we can't say
Trying hard to fix things that can never go away.
Someday for sure one of their hearts
will wake up proud and say
Separated you are mere parts,
but together you're this way:
Meshed and molded, with the other
One completes what Two should have
tell of how you found another...
A soul that had been halved.
But that day had not yet come
and the two clung desperately
wishing for the other
to reach right in and see
that since they have the other,
they don't need but much else.
But this could hardly be,
because their souls scre
