Ian's Point of View
"So where are you going?" asked Josh.
"Music room. I'm meeting Riley and Mr.Ellis to talk about the recital." answered Ian as he slammed his locker.
Josh watched as his new friend shouldered his backpack. "You like Riley." it wasn't a question.
Ian's eyes went wide and a slight blush warmed his cheeks. All he was able to do was stare at the brunette.
Josh nodded. "I knew it!" he said with a grin.
Ian blushed a little more. "What does it matter?"
"Oh, it matters my friend." Josh said with a wink.
"Wait, you mean..."
"Riley's gay?" Josh cut in.
"Yeah, found out a couple years back. Or, at least I think he is..."
"What do you mean, you think?" asked Ian.
"You'd think the guy would share things like this with me. I mean we've known each other since we were five. But noooo! The kid hardly talks to me!" said Josh as he crossed his arms.
"Yeah, well. The guy doesn't even like me."
"Hey, don't worry about it. It may seem like he doesn't like you, but that's beca

Riley's Point of View
Riley watched in disbelief as Ian's fingers flew across the ivory keys. He had heard the song played by the last pianist that had left Lawrence the year before. But that kid had never played it like this. The melody flowed in a gentle way that made Riley close his eyes as he listened. The song spoke volumes to Riley. He felt so many emotions wrapped around every notes as the song played. Joy and laughter, sorrow and loss. It felt as if Riley's heart was being broken open by another emotion that was hidden even deeper in the melody. The more he listened, the more he felt himself relax. Riley glanced over at Josh and saw that the teen had his head laid back with eyes closed. When he looked at some of the other students, he saw the same reaction in them. At least two girls had tears in their eyes, and even Tommy was looking at Ian in shock. Mr.Ellis was also captivated by the beauty of the song that he had heard many people attempt before. He was sure that the compos

Ian's Point of View
After he had introduced himself, Ian smiled a little when he heard the gasps of every girl in class. He didn't even care that some of the guys were laughing at him. He was used to it by now. The only thing that bothered him was the look he was getting from one of the boys towards the back of the room. The blonde was giving Ian an extremely dirty look. Ian let this go. He wasn't the type to let things bother him for to long. If any trouble came up with the guy later on, well, then he would just have to deal with it when he did. Besides, there was something else that took priority over the blonde. Ian looked back to the second to last seat in the room. The boy who was sitting there was trying to look out of the window, but was failing horribly. The two met each others gaze, and Ian had to stop his jaw from dropping. Violet. The guy had violet eyes. And his hair was, was.....beautiful. There was just no other way to put it. Before Ian could admire the boy anymore, his

Riley's point of view
Riley sat with is head on the top of his desk while he looked out the window that he sat next to.
Riley was so wrapped up in his own thoughts that he didn't even notice the slightly wet finger hovering next to his ear.
Still no answer. The person next to Riley's desk sighed/
"Alright. You brought this on yourself, dude..."
"GHAAAA!!" shouted Riley when he felt the finger enter his ear.
"Josh, what the hell?!" he demanded.
"You were ignoring me again." replied Josh.
"That doesn't mean you needed to give me a God damn wet willy!!" exclaimed the silver haired boy.
Josh was about to say something to his friend, but was cut off by an angry voice.
"Riley Martin! How many times do I have to tell you? There will be NO swearing in my class!"
Riley cringed and turned around to look at the source of the voice.
"Sorry, Ms.Harris." he said as he looked up to look his red haired teacher in the face.
Ms.Harris sighed."I'm afraid that being

Riley's Point of View
"Scoot over there, mister."
Riley rolled his eyes as he made room in the truck. Though it wasn't all bad. Riley smiled a little as Ian's hand found its way into his. Riley looked over at Kylie, noting the huge grin on her face.
'Yeah, she soooo planed this.'
Riley sighed as he thought about the evening. It had started out great. After making out with Ian, (which still made him blush slightly just thinking about it) they had made their way over to Kylie's apartment. After throwing his bags on the couch, the three had piled into the small cab of Ian's truck. When Riley had asked Kylie why she didn't have a car she shrugged.
"Why should I get a car when my job is two blocks away, and all the stores I need are within eight blocks of my building? Its just a waste of money and gas."
When they got to the theater, they had picked Eat,Pray,Love, a movie that only Kylie had any real interest in watching. Actually, it had been Kylie who had picked the movie, taking into acco

Riley's Point of View
Riley sat at his desk as he watched Ian's breath, slowly, return to normal. It had really freaked him out when Ian hadn't been able to tell him what was wrong.
'At least he could type.'
Riley spun around to face his computer and popped in a game. He sat playing when he heard movement on his bed. He turned around as Ian turned over onto his stomach, his rust colored hair falling to cover one of his eyes. Riley was glad that Ian's breathing had almost settled. Riley was just about to start up his game when he heard the front door open and close. He smiled to himself and headed down stairs.
"Hey, Gram. How'd it go?" he asked when he reached the kitchen.
"It went just fine, dear. All the doctor did was give me more medication for my arthritis." answered Riley's grandmother.
"Riley, do you know who's truck that is parked in front of the house?"
"New kid in school."
"I'm afraid I'll need more then that, dear."
Riley smiled at his grandmother.
"He gave me a ride home. Ha

Riley's point of View
On the drive back to the apartment, Riley could tell that something was bugging Ian. He wanted to say something, but was afraid that it would upset the copper haired teen. When they got back, Riley followed the taller teen up to the apartment. Ian flopped on the couch as Riley went into the kitchen to get something to drink. He went back into the living room and sat down next to Ian. Ian smiled as he took the soda from Riley, and then leaned his head back on the couch. They sat like that for some time before it got to Riley.
Ian opened his eyes and turned his head to look at the silver haired teen.
"What are you talking about?"
"You've been acting weird since we left the hospital."
Ian looked at Riley for a moment, and then got up.
"Come on. I need to show you something." said Ian as he motioned to his room.
Riley looked at Ian in confusion as he got up and followed the taller teen. When they got into Ian's room, Ian went over to his c

Riley's Point of View
Riley pushed the button of the vending machine in front of him. Picking up the can of soda, he turned and headed back to the waiting room. Riley hated hospitals. They always felt cool and made him feel depressed. And this time the hospital really depressed him. Not only was Kylie in surgery because some ass stabbed her, but the entire time they had been there, Ian had been in a daze. He didn't talk to anyone, he wouldn't eat or drink anything. Riley had been worried at first that Ian would go into an attack, but the taller teen just sat in his chair, staring at his hands, which fell limply between his knees. It broke Riley's heart to see the normally happy go luck teen look like his world was falling apart. He wanted to do something, to say something that would help Ian, but Ian wouldn't even look at him. All he was able to do was sit as close to the copper haired teen as possible. They had been in the cold waiting room for two and a half hours without any word on
