Group Journal Comment Messages for Admins
Over the past few months, many members have been asking to bring back the feature where Group admins receive Message Center notifications when members comment on their Groups' journals. This week, we brought back this functionality and messages will now be appearing for all new comments.
Group journal messages will appear for all users who have administrative powers over that Group's journal. For example, if the "Contributors" admin class is set to 'Can
Lumi, a first previewHey ! :]Lumi, a first preview1 year ago in Personal More Like This
So I've made some new changes on Lumi, my future Visual Style for Windows 7. It will continue to change in some details, and it's certainly not over yet, different parts are still the one from Soft7.
Anyway here's the actual result :
White isn't it ? ^^
My main ideas were :
more "minimal", less transparent, and add a tiny color.
The window on top left is active, the others are inactive (mainly a difference in the shadow, but the windows themselves are a bit more transparent).
The "Yes" button is hovered, like the Music icons. The DVD drive is selected
I believe the caption buttons are too subtle right now, and I'm still trying to do a nice hover effect, subtle but visible.
It includes the new icons on the Navigation Pane, obviously based on the icons in Mac OS Lion, entirely made from scratch (all of them) with the subtle blue of the theme.

By the way, don't get it wrong, I hardly have time to play all t

My dear watchers and passersby,
Until half a year ago, I was one of those pixel-artists and spriters that used MS Paint (or its best Linux clone, KolourPaint) for everything. After all, to put pixels one after the other you don't really need anything else, do you?
However, while Paint is a useful tool for us because of its simplicity and focus on individual pixels, there was a moment when I thought: hey, why not look for a specialised, cross-platform, free tool to do my pixel-art? An alternative to Paint that doesn't belong to Microsoft and supports transparency? An alternative to KolourPaint that isn't so heavy and RAM consuming?
So I searched. I found quite a few pixel-art editors, but there was one that caught my eye since the beginning and has be
Ursinho Samurai1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Malware Report #5There's a slew of new malware skins uploaded to the main Rainmeter Gallery in the last couple of days. All downloads in the list at the end of this post are infected.Malware Report #52 years ago in Personal More Like This
We try and check all the skins uploaded to our gallery for malware before accepting them and we try to keep this list up-to-date, but real-time interferes, so please practice safe downloading!
Some things to watch for:
- comments are usually disabled or hidden
- they are fairly new to dA, just a couple of new skins
- their profile page only has a few items on it
- they rip a skin/preview/description then upload it with malware or keyloggers
- downloads are zipped and have an .exe file which is the virus
- don't download files like Build.exe, Run.exe, FullInstall.exe, *.rmskin.exe, Full_Set_Up.pif - basically anything that ends in .exe or .pif.
How to test each download for a virus:
- Right-click 'Download File' link, choose 'Copy Link Location'
- Go to VirusTotal at http://www.virustotal.com/index
GTK theme preferences - Customize GTK themesCustomizing a GTK theme can be frustrating, especially with both GTK2 and GTK3 themes lying there. And why go through all the hassle when you want to change just few things. You no more have to! I've made a GTK theme configuration tool that allows anyone to change some basic elements of a GTK theme easily (both GTK2 and GTK3) with a simple interface.GTK theme preferences - Customize GTK themes9 months ago in Personal More Like This

This works for any theme (If doesn't work correctly with a theme, please report bug here https://github.com/satya164/gtk-theme-config/issues). You can revert all changes with just a click.
If you use Ubuntu, Linux Mint or any Ubuntu based distro, install the tool from the Shimmer Project PPA. It is available for both Precise and Quantal.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:shimmerproject/ppa
