Born of the moon and the winds of the night
A being of power and grace
Heart of the wilds, spirit of light
Brings silence to this holy place
His steps make no noise in the stillness
Moving like smoke on the breeze
Soul of the hunter eternal
A ghost beneath the trees
Still, His movement ceases
Outlined in the soft silver rays
Seen, though you thought yourself hidden
Now locked in his fierce golden gaze
Knowledge of uncounted ages
Rests deep within his eyes
To guide those who will listen
Through the journey of their lives
Brother spirit here I stand
Guide me as you will
For the wild hunters heart
Beats within me st

Sunlight fades to memory
As darkness wraps the skies
A million points of silver fire
Burn before your eyes
The scents of night ride heavy
On cool and rising winds
Grey shadows stalk the velvet night
The hunt will soon begin
A hunter's stalk in silence
A strike and all goes still
hungry we won't be tonight
The pack has made its kill
Golden eyes in darkness
Watch over tiny forms
Curled against their mother's side
To keep them safe and warm
On lofty stone before the den
He tests the swirling breeze
Those he guards are safe and warm
He's seen to all their needs
With knowing gaze he scans the sky
It will be

The Reason For My Fear
IÕve never been one to fear the darkness, nor the things it conceals.
I have never feared the blackness of ragged chasms: great mouths consuming all,
Nor the icy cold darkness of a killerÕs eye, or the endless yawning of a sharkÕs jaws
YetÉ yet there is somethingÉ something about this house, this place, which makes me pauseÉ.
I know not why, nor whence this fear has come; it was Ônere her before, this much I know!
Yet consuming is it, though I myself, self-proclaimedly fearless,
Do tremble when I am here.
And something, I feel, someone, revels in this fear.
Perhaps it is those who l

It was a ghost. Something that had once been alive and was now dead. Or someone. It was hard to tell when this particular specter was somewhat like a floating tadpole. Only, its round 'head' was about the size of a football with a single large mouth. Or was that mouth an eye? Probably neither, since it was glowing and orange. Neither eyes nor mouths were supposed to be orange, right?
Gar observed in silence a bit longer, but a ghost was no threat to him. The servant knew this for a fact. His Master had killed plenty of folks (being a vampire did require large quantities of blood after all) and a few had left behind

Nostrils flaring, Gar allowed himself a huge sigh as he wrestled with his map, thumbs leaving small holes in the paper. Really, if not for his tongue, the flimsy scrap would've been shredded into bits long ago. But as he held the item firmly against the rough pine bark of an old tree, Gar could not help but despair. He was completely lost.
The first part of his journey had been easy. This map was quite clear and full of nice, clear landmarks. Rivers to follow, small and easily flown-through forests, a few smelly bogs. But now, so close to his goal, the paper guide was failing him.
"Trees," the creature grumbled

I groaned as I read through page after page in my science textbook. If I had started studying earlier, I would've been done by now. Of course, one had to add in procrastination and distractions as factors as well. Occasionally, I'd write a few notes in my worn notebook, but otherwise I sat in complete silence, reading. Work in relation to circular motion as opposed to horizontal motion tends to- I bolted straight up when my cell phone suddenly went off, the thou

A history that saved lives and healed those who would never know
Her fear and anger showing in the way she walked and talked.
Her claws always ready to defend herself, never having someone to love
no one that seemed to care about her pain or her dreams of being free.
She was realized to a cage in a place that didn't seem to care,
they fed her and left her be, person after person passing her by
Their thoughts, "An anti social cat, what would anyone want with her."
A single person seeing her and seeing the hurt and fear in her eyes,
taking her home to try and heal those painful scars,

Sprawling dark
A whispering word
A presence
Just out of reach
This is where
Quiet descends.
This is where
Voids open up
Flowers after rain
Seeking the Sun
To see only the Moon.
Coldness
Doubt
A slow pace sets
Exploring corridors
Misty and contorted
I am blind
Stumbling through time
Grabbing at weak branches
But a spark flies
A light in the soul
A pushing desire
To see the end
A foolish want
As the world turns against
Moving through wind

Her white paws gently padded along a worn path she'd taken many times before around this place. Why do I come here, anyway? She wonders, but never thinks too much into it. For some unexplicable reason Sojir enjoyed being around the base of the volcano. The smells were putred at first, but she soon came to be in neutral agreement with them. Fire-Tribe smells weren't so bad, she came to decide one day. More than anything she came here to see two certain some cats, and see if either of the two would ever come home again. Sojir fretted

something that man can't give.

This piece lives rooted to the foot of an apple tree,

Maybe I'm Just Misunderstood Looking back on this life, there is a lot I could have done better. Great spirits, there is a lot I could have done better in all of my lives that I've lived. Yet... I cannot pinpoint where exactly it all went horribly wrong. How did I become the worthless, wretched, forsaken creature that I was? Was it my parents? My sister? The cats I had grown up around? My own, innate flaws? Or perhaps the fact that I became the very monster that I feared the most? I do not have the answer. Warm shafts of sunlight filtered inside the den's walls, flickering over the frames of the cats sheltering and sleeping under a roof made entirely of reed. The morning dew slowly began to slide down a leaf, accumulating at the tip until it formed a perfectly round drop, and eventually, detached from its perch as gravity pulled it down. It landed cleanly on a pink nose. A young Javanese she-cat jerked awake, her eyes screwing open as she twitched her nose, sniffing furiously to get rid of the nuisance. As she rubbed a small delicate paw onto her muzzle, the she-cat rose her head to glance over the reed walls. The light infiltrated the den i
