Old Habits -Ib+Oneshot-Garry flicked his smoked cigarette to the ground, stomping it out with his heel as he faintly heard the final school bell ring. He waited patiently as the students began flooding out the entrance gates, talking of how they were going to just waste their days away, as opposed to studying for tests or working on school projects. He exhaled the plume of smoke he had been holding back, and settled his hands into his pockets. It was just like every other day.Old Habits -Ib+Oneshot-2 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
Ever since their reunion after the art gallery, Garry made it a point to see Ib everyday. After school he would walk her home or to his house to help her study. If it were a weekend, the two of them would go to the cafe and have some macaroons and some drinks—juice for her, coffee for him. Then after that, they'd stop at Garry's apartment just to hang out and talk about random things. There was quite an age gap between the two, but Ib was Garry's best friend.

"Garry..." I knelt down to his face, holding it in my hands. He was cold already.
Mary... You were the exact kind of person I wanted to have as a little sister but... You killed the thing that was most important to me.
"You promised we would get macaroons after this..." I reminded nothing. I started crying, resting my forehead on Garry's.
I thought for a moment. Garry died because his rose was destroyed, but really, because of me. I didn't want to go home now that Garry was gone. I would still feel this way if it wasn't my fault.
"Its decided then." I said to myself, leaving Garry to go back into the room with Mary's burnt picture.
The ashes were still on the ground. There was paper and crayons left from Mary... So I started to draw.
The picture started out just being two roses, a blue and red one. Then it grew to be those roses and Garry. Then, I added myself there. I didn't add anything else. Not the paintings, not the monsters, not Mary.
One more step to do. I walked back down the s

You hummed to yourself as you prepared a snack. Your son Ivan would be coming home from school soon and you were continuing your tradition of after school snack time. Today it was peanut butter and apple slices, the perfect meal for a first grader. You heard the front door open and close.
“Ivan, sweetie. Is that you?” you called out.
You heard footsteps hurry through the house, and your darling son ran into the kitchen with tears in his eyes. Immediately you got you your knees and opened your arms. Ivan ran into them and buried his face in your shoulder. You stroked his hair, making shushing noises.
“What wrong, Ivan?” you asked.
“No one likes me Mama, they all say I’m weird,” Ivan sobbed to you.
You frowned. You didn’t like it when your son was upset. You moved him to the couch and wiped away his tears.
“Weird how?” you asked, handing him a tissue.
“They’re scared of me and say that I have a big nose, and sound fu

"Why can't I just get the words out?"
She let gravity take over, and pull her down against the wood fence to the ground as she pulled in her arms and legs, and a full-bodied blush rolled across her face.
"It's just a few words, why can't I say it?? I could ask him 'Hey, do you want to go get ramen sometime?' or just 'Would you like to hang out with me--'.." Hinata trailed off, and put her palms flat to the ground as she tried to relax: "Calm down... Find your center..and..breathe..."
Her breath caught in her throat again, as her thoughts once again shot back to thinking about him, and how he jumped up behind her. "No, no! I need to calm down." As she slowly coaxed her heart to stop dancing a jig and calmed down, she suddenly remembered a similar situation she was in one night while on a mission...
Panting, she pressed her back into the trunk of the pine tree, as if to blend into it; as if to fade away.
"Hinata?" she heard Kiba call out; she knew that he could find
