Anya has bailed me out of a lot of tight situations so I wanted to pay her a little homage. I like having the girls in the conflict since I play gears with my 22 year old daughter who is a cross between Anya and Sam, but my wife modeled for both when I did the picture. We will be back in the fray tonight! I mostly draw women fantasy portraits for a living, so I felt I would be in my element if I drew the girls. We've had fun! There is some cool competition out there. I hope we make the top 100 at least.

I've been working on this picture since the contest started but only managed to finish it today on the deadline, wth...

Anyway this is my first time entering a contest on DA, seeing some of the other entries makes me feel really ashamed of mine n_n'

I don't know what possessed me to draw a girl, since I fail at them and she's just the side-kick and all, but I thought Elika was a really cool character from what I saw in the trailers.
I loled at the "Is it okay if we hold hands?" part XD Silly prince ♥

Maaan I wanna play this game so bad! The art direction is so gorgeous OTL

My entry for the GOW contest.

Tools: pencil + paper, Paint tool SAI
Time: 35+hours

GOW designers, Y U SO DETAILED? The weapon and armor alone took up so much time, I had to draw them over and over. I think this is the most time I've ever spent on a picture... the sad part is, I'm still not satisfied with it.

I'm really hoping to make semi-finals, my e-machine laptop (which is ancient, ANCIENT I tell you) is finally dying out on me. I can't even use photoshop without there being a phenomenal lag. *cry*

Originally, it was supposed to be Alex Brand because she is just so awesome. Alas, I don't know if she'll be in the third game, so I changed it up to this lovely lady, Sam Byrne. Also featured is a lovely Berserker.

I personally love Gears of War. My favorite part was in GOW2, when we were inside this huge worm that could eat whole cities. :]
