...this time of the grizzly bears from the new Oklahoma Trails exhibit. Again, this was brush pen on toned paper and I only spent one to two minutes on each drawing. The idea of gesture sketching is to get as much information down as quickly as possible, bypassing many of the details for what's most important so the essence of the subject is effectively conveyed. Exaggeration of posture and form sometimes works well for this kind of drawing exercise, since it's more about the character of the subject than being 100% accurate with anatomy.
