Contest! - Now Closed / WINNERSHi Guys, it's Contest Time!Contest! - Now Closed / WINNERS4 months ago in Personal More Like This
You may have noticed with the jewellery I have made over the past year or so that I add little stories and things to them, in this contest I'd love these stories to inspire you to draw, write or create anything based on these stories that I have come up with!
You're free to elaborate on these stories, add to them and draw inspiration from them, you're totally free here but you have a better chance of winning by sticking as close to your chosen story as possible c:
For example, if you like the sound of a character, you can draw that person or if you like a certain story and want to write more about it then that would be perfect!

New York City-based artist Alex Myung (~alexmyung) has started a Kickstarter project to raise $20,000 to create Arrival, an animated short film with a focus on the theme of coming out. Equalitopia sits down with Alex to discuss the project.
Currently, the project has raised almost $4,000 from 74 different backers, averaging out to about $52 per backer. Keep in mind that Kickstarter projects are “all or nothing,” meaning that if the project doesn’t reach its funding goal by Wednesday, February 20th, no funds will be transferred to the project.
Equalitopia: Could you tell us briefly about the storyline of Arrival?
Alex: Arrival is about a young boy growing up

There is no cosmic law that states artists must suffer many long years and demeaning day-jobs before a window of opportunity cracks open just enough to hop on through.
Fellow deviant Brian Kesinger is a case in point.
His first “day-job” in 1996—he was hired straight out of his senior year of high school—was drawing Tarzan for Disney.
Brian stayed at Disney and he considers every day there a part of his ongoing education as an artist. He most recently worked on “Wreck It Ralph,” and has become active in the story department, where he dreams up fresh narratives and new characters with fellow Story Artists and Disney directors.
But more and more, he is being recognized for his own style and own creations
