After being marooned on some Caribbean isle by that wretched little boy with no ship, no crew, and no way to return to Neverland, Captain Hook was forced to keep company with the bilge rats that inhabited the isle. Sitting amongst those same rats was Captain Jack Sparrow. It was inevitable, one might suppose, that the "best pirate anyone's ever seen" would meet up with the "greatest villian of all-time". Hook, a well-bred Englishman concerned with good form, thought little of the bedraggled, funny-walking, perpetually drunk Sparrow.
Captain Sparrow didn't like the other's hat.
Prince Eric, on the other hand, was on that isle looking for Sparrow who managed to swipe a trident from the Prince's father-in-law. Dealing with Sparrow gave Eric a taste of a pirate's life without actually becoming one. Adventure and noteriaty while remaining the hero and well, he already had the girl....
It worked for Will Turner, after all.
Perhaps the prince should have asked what happened to Turner before getting involved with Sparrow.... See scraps for WIPs. Water color on matte board. Screencaps from Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid, PotC: DMC as well as a google image search for each character used for references. Though no specific image was used for background references, island and decaying stone edifice were inspired by Isla Cruces from PotC: DMC; three-way fight inspired by the same movie.
