Reflections (?)I was going through my gallery and ... I was ashamed to see many bad pictures! I don't know what I was thinking. I hesitated remove some, but that would be very inconsiderate of me part (for the many comments that there're).Reflections (?)1 year ago in Personal More Like This
I find it hard enough to leave those pictures (Believe me! I would like to put my head in the land or flee to a mountain) but I think that is a way to see how I'm changing over time. It's weird. I couldn't explain it.
I hope to improve or at least get new things. It will be a very difficult task. I'm a very "hard" to pose and it's tough... To this must be added the fact that I use the timer, which complicates things even more. Add the lack of space, low mood and mediocre cameras and....voila! Disaster! hahahaha
21st Century: 2010-2012 Cartoons RetrospectiveSometimes, I wonder what would've happened if I'd been an 80s kid; specifically because I imagine myself being in college back in the 90s, possibly starting to get a foothold in the animation industry. And, why not inflate the dream to extremely unrealistic proportions by imagining being one of those privileged few that got to be taught by Don Bluth? This fantasy is, quite possibly, the best I've ever constructed; in terms of the bizarre desire to go back in time that's been attached to my psyche since I was fourteen, anyway.21st Century: 2010-2012 Cartoons Retrospective1 year ago in Personal More Like This
I'd be lying if I said I didn't have some node of nostalgia, or that I didn't hate certain aspects about 2010-2012 cartoons. But at the same time, there's quite a few positives I can say, too. This is going to focus on the cartoons that have captured and held me in a chokehold in some way over the past two years and will, undeniably, give me some sort of nostalgia for them twenty or so years down the road!
To me, Kick Buttowski felt like a blend of
New Policy for This AccountI know I've touched on this topic in the past, but I finally have my set-in-stone policy:New Policy for This Account2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Fan art commissions for this account are points only. Originally, points were beginning to make me grind my teeth, but then I really started thinking about it: My fan art is drawn using somebody else's style and characters, with my own touches or embellishments. Fan art isn't necessarily copyright infringing, but I'd be taking a huge risk charging money for commissions involving fan art. Plus, it'd bug me on some other level. For the longest time, I considered fan art a nonprofit trade and quite frankly, I'm going back to that particular frame of mind. I just happened to deviate from it a little while.
My new policy for this account: I'm open for requests, art trades, and commissions.
Requests: One per person, may be line art or flat colors, can't be more than 2 or 3 characters. I'll be a bit more picky about subject matter here as well. (If the character count is above 3, it becomes commission or

The True EnemyHere she comes, the glowing and golden goddess,The True Enemy10 months ago in Personal More Like This
wearing the fake mask and mannerisms of Jesus
Palms upturned, she speaks with charisma
Glittering, drunken eyes look upon her
and the masses grin and stirrup like monkies,
hollering with every word, every devious smile
Then the hapless idiots cast aside their clothes,
and dance crazily, naked, in the pounding rain,
arms stretched above their head, fingers flexing,
mouths open, cluelessly chanting meaningless mantras
waiting, hoping, praying
for some disillusional taste of heaven
She cracks the whip and their eyes turn crimson red
Thunder booms, followed by the sound of drums
The naievete fades, turning into primal rage
They latch onto each other and start attacking,
words lashing like knife points, fingers pointing,
hair getting pulled, feet trampling without remorse
Of course, they don't see the true enemy,
sitting on her throne with her legs crossed daintily,
watching and waiting with saintly patience
She hands one of her minions a bag
The World Doesn't Understand Me MentalityI saw the "Nobody understands me" mentality pop up in a few deviants' journals and it got me thinking...The World Doesn't Understand Me Mentality11 months ago in Personal More Like This
I remember going through a phase like that back in high school.
When I talked to my parents about how I felt, the response I received was: "Nobody owes you anything. You need to make the effort to branch out."
Only now does that response kick in and truly make sense in retrospect. I'm about to get kind of blunt: Yes, everybody thinks and interprets the world in different ways, has a unique set of skills and talents, and is that one-in-a-million combination of genes. It's these differences that make the world interesting, progressive, and sustains the continuing evolution and advancement of the human race. Despite this, though: You are not an exclusive special snowflake. You're not an alien unsuspectingly dropped off on Earth as a baby.
The problem isn't the world not being able to understand you, it's you not understanding or connecting with your surroundings.
The world owes you abs

The man who is so pledged by his feelings of inadequacy surrounding his parents death, that he would create an alternate persona based on a traumatic animal attack, which he's also held on to since childhood, in order to prey on the fear of evil-doers...isn't sentimental?

I am wary of my following message not being received with the full gravity it deserves. It is not my intention to unduly alarm the deviantART community, but... $LaurenKitsune is at this time unaccounted for. All attempts on our part to contact her have failed. It is my hope that she has simply taken a much deserved unscheduled pre-Halloween “vacation” and will be back in online communication soon.
Before going dark, $LaurenKitsune was good enough to write and transmit a report on the Slender Man phenomenon sweeping the Internet. That report is published here fo
Nostalgia CriticBefore late 2010, I didn't even know the Nostalgia Critic existed. Everything changed when my brother sat me down to watch a particular video. And, like every other entertainment medium I consider myself a fan of, that was more than enough to rope me in and leave me wanting more. The very first NC review I ever watched, and the one that remains my favorite to this day, is his second review of the animated Titanic rip-off cartoon. So, as of today, I've been a fan of the Critic for close to two years. Like others who joined the fans around the same time as me, even later, I regret not knowing about this guy in 2007...So many missed events!Nostalgia Critic1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Through the Critic, I found ThatGuyWiththeGlasses.com, ToddintheShadows, Nostalgia Chick, Rap Critic, Linkara, and many others. I also started stumbling across reviewers on YouTube and found the FanFic Critic. In a sense, any reviewer I consider myself a fan of now was, in a sense, found through or inspired by the Critic. Of course, there's a huge vari

I've got something special for today, for all of you who enjoy Team Awesome.
A Fan-fic story made by :iconcaustizer: that focus its attention around Night Twins, Luna and Dream. It is VERY well written and I found it so fitting, that if he actually make whole story I will make it cannon in my world of Team Awesome. He just know how to make those characters alive, something I will never be able to do if I try to write a Fan-fic.
Here you got Chapter ONE. There are three for now, but there will be more.
So I think you should GO there and read it. Or better, watch him as he will give you more of that story. I can assure you, you wont regret that.
Thank you for your attention and see you next time.

I want to see pictures of your character at his/her most romantic or sexiest! Options:
1.) Draw your character by his or her lonesome just strutting their stuff or showing off.
2.) Draw your character romancing, flirting with, or doing something with either another OC or a canon character.
3.) Draw your character using Justin's "mesmero" effect on more than one character, whether they be canon or OC.
You can team up with somebody on an entry. This means that with option 1, you'd have two characters instead of one. If you team up with somebody, you can either collaborate on one picture or put two entries from each of you as the same entry. You can also choose to submit the pictures as separate entries if you'd prefer. (If you team up with somebody and decide to have both of you on the same entry and your piece wins any of the places, both of you get everything promised for that particular place.)
1.) No "extremely mature" content,

My dad, brother, and all of my friends know he's my favorite; even random strangers...If they talked to me for five minutes and Soul Eater was brought up, they'd know, too. I quote him relentlessly; I've discussed and poked fun at symmetry more now than I ever did in an actual art, math, or science class where the topic would be brought up as a homework assignment or lecture topic.
What I don't get, is why I'm so fascinated by him. Originally, I was convinced he was my favorite just because I love the 'symmetry' running gag so much. Yet, the more I think about it...I'm just absolutely intrigued by his world view and perspective: His symmetry obsession seems to manifest itself in a phobia, yet it stems from a stronger, overarching desire to keep the world in balance, as in good isn't overwhelmed by evil or vice versa. Considering his position, he carries a lot of responsibility and expectations on his s

This is just like one of those normal journal entry test where you put an x in the box near the question if it is true. remember, x = 1 point (or whatever amount of points it says that you must add). If your OC is a mary sue or gary stu, don't have some little hissy fit and point fingers at somebody but yourself. This test speaks the truth, and if you don't like the result, then I suggest you change some things about your OC. Have fun.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the absolutely amazing, incredible, astounding crew of MLP:FiM for all their hard work and dedication. Im so grateful to have such a talented group of artists give their all for what could have easily been seen from day one as silly, girly fluff unworthy of their time. Together I think we helped prove that for girls does not have to automatically equal lame.
And a gigantic thank you to the fans of the show!!! The kids, the parents and all you bronies!! The array of people this show has touched has completely exceeded my wildest expectations! I cannot believe the response, and, as Im sure youve noticed, I cannot keep up with the messages!!! Thank you all for your words of praise, thanks, curiosity, and even your thoughtful criticisms. Fr

There is no cosmic law that states artists must suffer many long years and demeaning day-jobs before a window of opportunity cracks open just enough to hop on through.
Fellow deviant Brian Kesinger is a case in point.
His first “day-job” in 1996—he was hired straight out of his senior year of high school—was drawing Tarzan for Disney.
Brian stayed at Disney and he considers every day there a part of his ongoing education as an artist. He most recently worked on “Wreck It Ralph,” and has become active in the story department, where he dreams up fresh narratives and new characters with fellow Story Artists and Disney directors.
But more and more, he is being recognized for his own style and own creations
