SWAMP THING: The Orchestral ScoreGot a weird treats for you all,SWAMP THING: The Orchestral Score3 years ago in Personal More Like This
For years, whenever I've been intensively drawing a comic project I often felt the need the write myself some music. I've found out multiplying my creative output mysteriously benefit them all. There is, usually, no link bridging my Comic and musical world. Some fugues and some String Quartet sketches have been paired with Batman Incorporated for instance.
This time, being so enthusiast for swamp thing, I went and wrote the scored for issue 7 & 8. OK, not really, but I've tried to cover their thematic stuff in a 3:16 of Full Orchestral Music.
Here a breakdown of the cues:
00:00 The timeless mystery of the Green
00:49 Growth and fate of the Green Warrior
1:36 The Rot
2:00 A bit of actionny big battle for those who got bored until now.
May you enjoy this roughs mix.

WAKING UP THE FORCE: New Star Wars Games Build Anticipation
For Episode VII
“Star Wars: Battle Pod” has been released in arcades across America. An international release of the game is imminent.
The game is about the size of a moderately–large photo booth, and it weighs around 1,000 pounds. To enter, you open a small door and take a seat inside the compartment. In front of you rests an almost impossibly large curved screen, as well as the left– and right–hand controls. This is the type of chamber you may enter

Nuances of an Annual Ritual
Which brings us to each year’s communal celebration of the passing of our lifetimes:
New Year’s Eve
So what did you “actually get done” in the past year? How closer are you to a grand goal in life? An assessment is made and then the inevitable Step 2 of the yearly process is engaged, which is often a word for word repeat of last year’s Step 2:
The New Year’s Resolution
There seem to be two main strategies that emerge at this point of facing the New Year, a “brand new morning.” The lone wolf quietly acknowledges goals not yet reached, and is even more secretive in the “new plan.” “I’ll show them,” becomes the new privat

Missing the PointI've been noticing a trend lately where people seem to deliberately be missing the point behind stuff in order to complain. I used to think it was just me, as I watched people write up lengthy articles nitpicking and "debunking" a comic I made because they simply missed the point, but I've started seeing it happening to other people too.Missing the Point3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Recently over on The Oatmeal, artist Matthew Inman made a joke about guy gamers vs girl gamers. The joke was pretty simple: A guy gamer makes a mistake and gets bitched out by his fellow teammates online. Contrast to that, a girl gamer makes a mistake and her fellow teammates try to comfort her, tell her she's doing great, and make suggestive comments about hooking up. To me the joke was clear, guys treat girls differently online. However, that's not how the rest of the internet saw it...
From what I've read of the whole Oatmeal flare up, the reasons for the hate seem grounded in the fact he depicted the girl as blond and bubbly (ie: stupid) and not as
Michael Eisner: life & death of 2-D animationI was going to make this into a youtube video, but I just don't have the motivation to actually complete it. After doing a documentary on the history of Cel animation I thought it would be neat to tackle the death of 2-D animation in America, since I know a lot of people don't really understand how or why it all happened. This is a very condensed version of the past 20 years, most facts taken directly from Roy Disney's "Save Disney" website and the "Art of Animation" by Bob Thomas. I did my best to make sure all the facts listed below are as accurate as I can make them. This is a LONG post, but I think it's worth reading. I had to change a few words here and there to make it sound more like a journal instead of text being read for a video. It should also be noted that it primarily concerns ONLY mainstream American animation. ENJOY!Michael Eisner: life & death of 2-D animation4 years ago in Personal More Like This

The island of Berk once had a troublesome problem with looting airborne raiders, but thanks to Hiccup and his dragon/best friend, Toothless, a peaceful coexistence reigns in the Viking land. It wasn’t an easy undertaking to get to this point, but audiences all over have sure enjoyed the journey of these action packed films.

Early life becomes an exploration of invisible parameters, circles beyond circles, as one pushes out to test the boundaries of safety. There is one’s bedroom, one’s home, neighborhood, school and town, state and nation. Early on, maps become important documents – declarations of being and rights and privileges. In the art world, throughout history, maps have been a constant measure of human progress, from the Phoenecians recording their trade routes over 2000 years ago, or pre-Columbian times in which map

'Falcon Punch'Captain Falcon's line delivery of 'fow-cone pawnch' is one of those things that, this many years later, shouldn't still be funny to me...and yet it is. It really, really is.'Falcon Punch'7 months ago in Personal More Like This
So even though Duck Hunt is my new character of choice in Smash (because COME ON, its existence alone in the game is a gleaming miracle of unexpected magnificence), I have still indulged in some Falcon Times, as well. Falcon Times are important.
And in playing a series of online matches as the good captain, letting loose a tireless (but maybe tiresome) tirade of 'FALCON PUNCHES' and 'FALCON KICKS' in his melodious voice for a couple rounds, I was surprised when one of the strangers I was fighting in the group then ALSO started playing as Captain Falcon, apparently converted by the captain's very loud, vocal gospel.
And then another.
And then all four of us, unspoken, ALL began playing as Captain Falcon out of some silent sense of solidarity, leading to what was simultaneously a furiously raging battle of fists and
Nostalgia CriticBefore late 2010, I didn't even know the Nostalgia Critic existed. Everything changed when my brother sat me down to watch a particular video. And, like every other entertainment medium I consider myself a fan of, that was more than enough to rope me in and leave me wanting more. The very first NC review I ever watched, and the one that remains my favorite to this day, is his second review of the animated Titanic rip-off cartoon. So, as of today, I've been a fan of the Critic for close to two years. Like others who joined the fans around the same time as me, even later, I regret not knowing about this guy in 2007...So many missed events!Nostalgia Critic3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Through the Critic, I found ThatGuyWiththeGlasses.com, ToddintheShadows, Nostalgia Chick, Rap Critic, Linkara, and many others. I also started stumbling across reviewers on YouTube and found the FanFic Critic. In a sense, any reviewer I consider myself a fan of now was, in a sense, found through or inspired by the Critic. Of course, there's a huge vari

I've got something special for today, for all of you who enjoy Team Awesome.
A Fan-fic story made by :iconcaustizer: that focus its attention around Night Twins, Luna and Dream. It is VERY well written and I found it so fitting, that if he actually make whole story I will make it cannon in my world of Team Awesome. He just know how to make those characters alive, something I will never be able to do if I try to write a Fan-fic.
Here you got Chapter ONE. There are three for now, but there will be more.
So I think you should GO there and read it. Or better, watch him as he will give you more of that story. I can assure you, you wont regret that.
Thank you for your attention and see you next time.
