Still more work on my conversion of an HGUC Jegan kit into my own Jegan Custom. I've been working on the beam rifle for the last few days. It differs from my original design quite a bit, but all the key elements are still present. Needless to say, my confidence with scratchbuilding is increasing.
It obviously isn't painted yet, but did I manage to capture that distinctive Char's Counterattack vibe?
ďDiz iz da best tank in da grot rebellion, diz iz da Thunda-Kopta! Weíz only got a few of dem, cause we ad to nick dem from da humies cauz ya canít turn a humie fighta grotty aftar itíz crashed see! At long last I finally got the Vendetta completed; taking a good week to build and paint, I managed to finish it off at midnight on Friday before the Throne Of Skulls this weekend. Sadly despite turning it into a twin-bladed choppa it didnít look very groty compared to the rest of the army, So I decided to paint the plates metal to give it a more ork looted Valkyrie feel, plus I gave it some teeth. I was going to use Dreadnought lascannons for both sides so I could swap them for missile launchers (for the rocket pods) but instead I used the same bits that I used for the Dakka Tanks with Lascannon barrels. The blades were a simple plasticard build with magnets.
I also got a photo of the pilots before I glued the cover down. Overall itís a great centre piece and I like how it completely overshadows the Grot-kopta escort.
