Lot of fun to paint these iconic characters but difficult to squeeze them all in together in a cohesive manner that worked with Wonder Woman and Cheetah; the editors ended up picking the layout I thought they were going to reject. I employed a hell of a lot of directional rhythms here. Perhaps too many.
Again, another rush job. Three days I think? Hard to say because all my other projects are coinciding with these covers to create one massive wad of deadline clusterfuck. Rough work month. I need a break. Badly.
Another pre-show commission for Comic Con Paris 2012. This actually isn't the final version. I've added the Eiffel tower in the back along with some other background elements. Hope I can get a picture of that version sometime so I can update it here.
This one was a rush job. I wasn't happy with my first attempt and so I started over from scratch with only two days to do it. That being the case, I'm aware that this isn't a very complex or original composition. When it comes to deadlines, sometimes you have to just go with what you know will work. My only focus was trying to maintain symmetry between both Wonder Women so that one wasn't overshadowing the other in any major way.
I love that I was able to coherently use "Wonder Women" in a sentence.
