Cover to Wonder Woman #611

Again, another rush job. Three days I think? Hard to say because all my other projects are coinciding with these covers to create one massive wad of deadline clusterfuck. Rough work month. I need a break. Badly.

Cover to Justice League #13.

Lot of fun to paint these iconic characters but difficult to squeeze them all in together in a cohesive manner that worked with Wonder Woman and Cheetah; the editors ended up picking the layout I thought they were going to reject. I employed a hell of a lot of directional rhythms here. Perhaps too many.

My final Wonder Woman cover. Although really, this was second-to-last as I was sometimes doing them out of order because of solicitation deadlines. WW #612 was the very last cover I worked on.

I miss working on this series already. I felt like I was just finally getting the hang of painting Diana and then, poof. It's over. Oh well. It was a good run.

Cover to Wonder Woman #612.

Did this a while back and now it's finally public. One of the rare times I got to use a full script and given carte blanche to do whatever I want.

Wish I could have fit Storm in too but that would make the figures even smaller. Next time.

Cover to Batgirl #21.

Until DC Comics and/or fans get sick of me, I'll be doing Batgirl covers for a while. Really fun character to work with. I did a couple things differently here which was sticking with only Photoshop (no Painter) and just 2-3 brushes.

Cover to Wonder Woman #604

The series writer JM Straczynski wanted a straight-on Da Vinci Vitruvian Wonder Woman cover. This piece combines traditional pencil & ink with digital painting so it was fun to once again pick up a crow quill after so many years. I couldn't resist falling back to my slick aesthetic even though it isn't even close to Leonardo's style of inking. It's not that I couldn't have aped him to some degree, I just didn't feel like going that far into counterfeit.

Another pre-show commission for Comic Con Paris 2012. This actually isn't the final version. I've added the Eiffel tower in the back along with some other background elements. Hope I can get a picture of that version sometime so I can update it here.
