On January 18th, Deviantart will be closed for 12 hours. It is one of many websites doing this.
This is to protest the SOPA Bill.
Just letting you know beforehand. Feel free to forward this journal to any people as you want so they know what is going on.

The effect that the SOPA bill could have on the United States and several websites that could be chosen to be blocked is universal.
The Senate is scheduled to vote on the internet censorship bill on Tuesday the 24th, and unless we can find 41 senators to block the vote, it is going to pass. What AmericanCensorship-dot-org is now demanding is for American users to meet with local senators during the January recess and ask them to vote it down.
Spread the word and maybe consult with your local senator alongside possibly thousands of others.

Needless dramatization aside, today begins my annual A:TLA Countdown to Christmas. And this year, I've decided to add some Legend of Korra themes, too. So be excited!
RULES: There really aren't any. If you'd like to participate by drawing/writing for one theme, go ahead. If you'd like to participate by drawing/writing for all themes, well, go ahead. Submissions can be drawn, painted, sewn, written, crafted, sculpted, photomanipulated, cosplayed--whatever fits into the dA categories, honestly. A story where the next Avatar is the main villain who has already taken over and ruined the entire world.
And the heroes we follow are non-Avatar people, for a change.
I don't recall a single episode in the TLA series saying that Avatars are forced against their will to be good people. I don't remember any indication that the Avatar-spirits could see the future and tell if a particular person was worthy of being chosen as the next Avatar.
It should be believable that someone chosen as the Avatar is capable of going bad and turning against what the Avatar is meant to represent.
In the TLA series, we got to see what a regular Firelord's idea of imperialism/tyranny looked like. So in the 3rd series, we could see what an evil Avatar's idea of dictatorship/tyranny looks like. It could be noticeably different fro

When you came to you had no idea where your were. There area was covered in large brown rocks with an odd looking green forest on either side of the rocky area. Then you look behind you and see the barn.
You are horrified by the size of it. You realize that you are still on the dirt road on the way home and that the green forests are in fact ordinary grass. Judging by the size of things you must only be a quarter of an inch tall.
You have no idea what to do. You are the size of a bug. Barely bigger than an ant. You don't think you can go home. You have a German Shepherd and a Border Collie there that tend to put everything in there mouths. You may want to get out of the open as well, you have a horse manages to get out of its coral very often that had a bed experience with a spider when it was young. N

THIRSTY DOGDogs are such magnificent and noble creatures...and now you're a size where it wouldn't mind having your company. You slip easily through the bars of the cage and softly walk over to the big pooch. You watch its large frame move up and down. As small as you are, you walk up under its chin and give it a small scritching. In response, the dog's tail wags, and it perks up, looking down upon you. It pants, and almost immediately you can smell the acrid breath of which could only be dog chow. The dog stands up, towering over you once again, and sniffs you over, knocking you on your rump. Ok so I'm just gonna go through the whole episode so if you didn't watch it yet...
*SPOILER ALERTS SPOILER ALERTS SPOILER ALERTS BIG TIME*
Ok to start off, as usual, animation was AMAZING
In the beginning of the episode we have Tarrlok creepily bloodbending Korra down the stairs to some shady basement into a metal box. He effin locks her in there... and drives away. YOU HORRIBLE MAN.
Then we're at Tenzin's house.... OMG. SO FREAKING ADORABLE LOLOL. We see Pema and Tenzin sleeping together... and Meelo in the middle. The phone rings and he literally crawls over Tenzin's face to answer it. LOL. "Who is this? It's 6 in the morning. It better be important." OH GOODNESS MEELO YOU ADORABLE LITTLE CREATURE. Then Tenzin finds out Korra's been kidnapped.
