I prefer to call it a choice, because I like to be different. Maybe that's why most of my friends are oftentimes five years younger than I am. Though it doesn't matter to me, I relate to them better than the popular people my age anyway.
As a nineteen year-old, I prefer video games and LEGOs to skateboards and cars. But today I'll be putting aside my electronic entertainment devices in favor of some good old fashioned quality time with Mother Nature.
At least I hope.
Walking into the hallway with my bags packed, I hear mom and dad 'debating' at the other end of the house. I already know what it's about.
“Chillax mom.” I stride into the hallway, trying to radiate some sort of confidence. “I got this.”
“Do you?” She looks back, s

Chapter 12: Reclaiming.
NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! LATIAS! COME BACK!!! I screamed. HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN?!!! WHY?! WHY?! WHYYYY?!!
I rolled on the ground weeping uncontrollably. How could they take her from me?!?! I pounded the ground with my fist some more.
All of a sudden I came to my senses. I might be able to follow them! I thought as I jumped on the Lasyrboard and flew up into the sky.
But then the thought hit me. They would have left hours ago, and I didnt know which way to go. They could be anywhere right now.
I started to cry again. Latias Why ? I slapped myself and decided that I couldnt just stay there crying like a baby. I headed home to check the internet for whatever I could find on the circus.

Chapter 18: Reconciliation.
WHATS THAT?! I telepathed to Latias. ITS THE ALARM! THE P.A.O. FOUND US! She yelled. WHAT?! I exclaimed.
ATTENTION ALL POKEMON! Mewtwos voice came over the intercom. ALL ABLE BODIED MALE POKEMON REPORT TO THE ESCAPE TUNNEL AT ONCE!
I looked over at Latias. What are they doing?! I asked. Theyre going to try and stop the P.A.O. from getting away! She yelled as she flew towards the exit tunnel. Wait! I yelled as I grabbed my Lasyr blades and flew after her, trying to think of just how I could help.
Latias! I yelled to her. This might be my chance to prove myself! She stopped immediately and I ran into her. Oof! She gasped as she got back up and looked at me.

Chapter 8: Revealed.
WHAT IS THAT?! My mom yelled. WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?! She was freaking out. Latias quickly turned invisible again, which didnt help the situation out any.
WHERE DID IT GO?! BRAD! GET OUT OF HERE! She shouted at me. MOM CHILL OUT! I had to scream just to be heard over her. Latias! Un-cloak! Not being able to see you is going to give her a heart attack! Latias reappeared and mom reached for something to throw at her.
MOM! WAIT! I yelled. She stopped and looked at me with a bewildered look on her face. Shes a friend! Watch! I looked at Latias, Come over here Latias. I said. Im sorry for the cornyness of this, Latias. But Im going to have to prove that your not a danger. I telepathed to her.

Chapter 4: Opening up.
Latias and I started to pack whatever we could before we headed back to my house. The way I figure it is, if the soldiers and the P.A.O have no idea who I am then I should be safe at home, for now.
Hey Latias! Hows about we tie them up with their own net? I chuckled. As much as Id like to. That probably wouldnt be the best idea. She said. Why not? I asked. Because they would probably be able to track your DNA from it. Remember, you touched the net too.
Good point. I said. In fact Ive been all over here. I stopped, suddenly I got an idea. I know! Their chopper is still sitting over there, we can siphon the fuel out of it and burn the area! That would probably destroy any traces of DNA I might have left! She looked thoughtful for a second,

Chapter 3: Conflict.
I woke up and looked around, my head was throbbing. Ugh!, what happened? I wonder how long Ive been asleep. I mumbled to myself. Oh, only about an hour or so. Oh, ok thanks. I said, all of a sudden I realized that someone was talking to me. I whirled around. Whos there! Show yourself!
I heard chuckling, and looked over at Latias and she broke into hysteria. HAHAHAA! Oh, you should see yourself right now! HAHA! I heard that voice in my head! And it seemed like it was coming from Latias! Wh-whats going on?! Do I have telepathy or something now? What did you do?! I asked, Yes, yes you do. Latias was still chuckling. Well how did I get it? She pointed to my chest. What? I looked down at the hole in my shirt and saw the crystal embedded into my chest. WHOA! HEY WAIT A MINUTE! WHAT DID

Chapter 9: Forging.
I was about ready to go to bed when my dad came into my room. Your mother was telling me you got a new pet Oh, my lord He stood there staring at Latias. Brad. What is that?! Latias and I looked at each other, and both had the same thought, Oh great, not again. My dad continued to stare. Please dont stare Dad. I said. It makes her feel uncomfortable.
Forget uncomfortable! He said. I just want to know what the heck it is! I shook my head. Her name is Latias. SHE, not IT, is a creature that I thought only existed in video games. WHICH by the way, I have now discovered is not true. And not to mention we two can communicate telepathically." I told him.
Prove it. He said. Latias and I once again looked at each other and sighed.

Chapter 2: Gift
The next day I woke up and was greeted by the sound of WHOOOOO! Yes Im awake Latias. I said, as she promptly started cooing and nuzzling me. "This is so cool! Shes like a really big pet! I looked at her again. No, theres no way that I can call her a pet. Shes a friend, she doesnt act like a pet. Shes just acts way too human to be a pet. I thought as I looked her wounds over. Wow! Youve healed a lot for only one night! I exclaimed as I examined her bandages. I bet pretty soon that youll be able to fly again!
She stared at me blankly for a second and then promptly broke the silence with, LAHT-IAS!! Well, my third day of camping and Ive already made a very interesting friend. It suddenly struck me that perhaps I wouldnt be able to keep her with me. Whatll happen when she

Chapter 11: Missing.
After I went to sleep I dreamed that I saw the P.A.O. complex again. Wheres the voice? I thought as I strained to try and see if I could hear anything.
Then, like it usually did, (Coming out of nowhere without warning.) the normal voice started talking again. To find the cave you must first release the prisoner I looked down at the complex, trying to see which building looked most like a prison. Where are they being held? I asked.
I was whisked away from the dream too fast to get an answer. I think the voice just enjoys leaving me with agonizing mysteries for fun. I thought.
I woke up and stretched my arms. Aaaaauuuuuughhhhmm!!! I yawned. Ooh, I dont want to get up. You awake Latias? I looked over at where Latias would have been. But

I screamed as I dropped the Lasyrblades and rushed over to her. I didnt care if anybody tried to shoot me as well, Latias was all that mattered at that moment.
LATIAS! LATIAS SAY SOMETHING!! I yelled repeatedly as I put my left hand under her head to support it and my right hand over her neck. Just trying to keep her sitting up.
Then my right hand felt something. Something wet. I lifted it up and looked. And there was blood all over it.
No No! NOOOO!!! I screamed out. I looked back at Latias, and her eyes slowly looked over at me.

Chapter 19: Fitting In.
As I slept I began to listen for the voice to tell me something else. (I expected yet another aggravatingly mysterious quote.) But it never came. I just had my regular dreams.
When I woke up I looked over at Latias, once again she was right beside me snoozing happily. I smiled but then remembered that I hadnt had the voice tell me anything important like it usually did.
I wonder why the voice didnt appear? I thought to myself. I know I havent finished my quest. Have I?
I sat there and thought about what all I had to do. And thats when I realized that I had never actually been given a job to do. I mean, I had been shown the supposed Crystoldia a few times in a dream. But for the most part, I had basically commissioned myself to help Latias as my purpose.

Chapter 7: New Toy.
I woke up earlier than usual. Then promptly became bored, which is usually what happens when I wake up too early. So I decided to look through my art binder for fun. As I looked, I came across a picture I had drawn of several sword-like weapons that I always thought would be fun to have. Lasyr Blades, as I had named them. I had designed them as like an all-purpose weapon/tool. You could funnel blasts of energy from them, slice stuff with them, and my personal favorite. Put them together and ride them like a sharp-edged flying surfboard. But I knew that it wasnt feasible, or was it?
All of a sudden I pulled out a piece of paper and started scribbling down and working out all sorts of different numbers, measurements and equations. And I continued like that for several hours, until Latias woke up.
Hmm? Brad? Where are you? She looked aro

I stared in disbelief. Mewtwo?! I exclaimed. Mewtwo floated up and landed on the platform.
What may I ask, is the reason for this calling Aggrus? He telepathically asked. We have some unusual visitors. Aggrus replied.
Mewtwo looked over at Latias and I. Latias?! Your safe! He exclaimed as he rushed over to her. I could tell from everyones reaction that he wasnt the type to normally act like this.
Latias hugged him. Yes, yes Im back Mewtwo then realized that everyone was staring and composed himself. I feared that we would never see you again. He said.
He then looked over at me. And who is this? He said, I noticed him staring at me. I know youre reading my mind Mewtwo.

I woke back up after I had the strange dream and changed into my grubs. How am I going to explain this dream to Latias? I wondered. I swear the voice sounded kind of like hers.
(Oh well) Hey! Wake up sleepyhead! I thumped Latias head with my pillow. HUNH?! WHA?! She leapt up and looked around frantically, trying to see whom her assailant was. Then she looked at me. Holding my pillow.
Why I oughta ! I just grinned. Now, now Latias. You know how this always turns out. You never accomplish any damage to me because we both start laughing till our sides ache. I said, still grinning. She tried to hide a smile, but failed miserably.

Chapter 25: Project B.T.E.P.
Latias and I ran around playing all day. Though it didnt feel right to me. I felt as if I should be somewhere, helping someone. I felt guilty for playing when I had a job to do, a purpose to fulfill.
Latias must have noticed this, cause she stopped me. Brad, whats wrong? I just looked down.
I dont know Latias. I said. I feel like Im shirking my duties, my responsibilities as the Guardian of Crystoldia in doing just that. Guarding Crystoldia. Not to mention we just left the Resistance there by themselves. And now were playing around while their lives are in danger.
Latias held put her hands on either side of my face and looked into my eyes. You are not shirking your duties. You did what was right for your family, what you promised to do. You ca

Radioactive bananas will come for your soul at precisely 2:30 am tonight.
Without warning The Project 009-A: Blastoise launched at me. I barely dodged in time. And to my great surprise I discovered that he or it, or whatever they were, had small jets welded to their bionic leg armor.
I shot back around into the main chamber so that Id have more room to dodge in.
009-A however, slammed into the wall, which didnt seem to phase him much. Cause he swung right back around and started firing his canons at me.
I shot upwards while charging an Energy Sphere, then swooped right down around to him. He began to swing a punch for me, but I saw it coming and pulled up just fast enough so that

The spirit of Latios shot towards me, impacting my chest. I felt a new life energy surge through my body, but not only my body. It surged through my mind as well, I had Latios memories, his powers, his life force.
I was rushed back to the real world, but I couldnt move. I looked around and everything was in a green haze. There were soldiers, the ones who threw the grenade just standing there. And they were staring at me like they had just seen a ghost.
I looked over at Latias, and she too was staring at me like she had seen a ghost. Brad Please dont go She said. What do you mean? I asked. All of a sudden the fusion of the crystal and Soul Dew in my chest started going crazy.

I looked back and couldnt believe my eyes. Those arent jets! I yelled. Ive never seen anything like them before!
The jets, if you could call them that, had rotating/pivoting engines on the sides making them extremely agile. They also had smaller engines on the tail for maneuvering and stabilizing. They looked kind of like a stealth helicopter, only with jet engines rather than rotors. And there were three of them. And each one had the initials P.A.O. on the side.
Oh, and did I mention the gattling guns?
Latias! Go! I yelled to her. NO! I WILL NOT LEAVE YOU! REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED LAST TIME?! She said. I stopped and looked at her. Then lets do this quickly! I said as I spun around and headed straight for them. Latias did likewise.

I yelled out as I shot up from my sleep, sweating heavily. The visions beginning to fade. Then, right on schedule. I started shaking.
Then weeping. I sat for what seemed like hours, just sobbing on top of my bed. I finally slapped some sense into myself and just sniffed now and then.
I got up and hovered out of my room. I looked around, the soft pulsating of the crystals spread throughout Crystoldia almost seeming to speak to me.
I sighed and flew out of my room. Three years, three years it had been since Latias Since I fulfilled the prophecy.
And almost every night so far had been a sleepless one. Her memory haunting me in my dreams. Her eyes always reaching for me. I had tossed and turned, waking up violently from the all too realistic dreams.

Chapter 17: Training.
We headed back towards the training area where we had been about half an hour before. I was excited to see just what it had to offer. I knew that the other Pokemon would stay away from me, they always did. Ever since finding out that I had formerly been a human, all but two Pokemon seem to have shunned me.
I looked to my right and saw Latias talking with Allie the young Eevee. She was still riding on Latias back, and seemed to enjoy every second of it.
(Its good to see Latias happy ) I thought. (Shes been so emotional of late. I think coming here was a good thing for her.)
Lateon? What is it? Latias asked me. You look rather deep in thought. I just looked over at her. Yeah, I was just thinking how it was probably a good thing that we came here.&

What was it like?! Did you find anything?! Was there anybody there?! Tell me! I just stared at her. What in the world has gotten into you Latias?! Ive NEVER seen you this excited.
She slowed down and finally took a breath. Well, I just wanted to know what Crystoldia was like. She said. All Ive ever known about it was rumors and the tiny, not very informative tidbits that have been passed down over time.

I woke up from the strange dream about the cave and just sat there. I feel like I just saw something really important. But I have no idea what the heck is was supposed to be! I said to myself.
I looked down at Latias who was sleeping like a baby next to me. Not until a few days ago did I believe that she wasnt supposed to exist. But then I found her. Alone, hurt, and in a kind of emotional anguish that I could never imagine, and hoped I would never have to imagine. And through a few bandages and a simple song I had made up on the spot, I made us the best of friends, friends that could never be pulled apart.
I never could have guessed that this would ever happen I said as I continued to stroke her head. Mmm-hm She mumbled as she lifted her head. Aughhhhh She yawned.

As Latias and I drove home I thought about everything she said. The story she told about Latios, and the way she thought of me. And I couldnt help but wonder if it was really possible for somebody to be so cruel that they could take someone from someone else like that. The thought sickened me.
All of a sudden I was brought back to the real world by Latias, Are you okay? She asked. Not particularly. I said. I knew I shouldnt have told you that story! Now your all depressed. Im so sorry I loaded it all on you! She said guiltily. No, no! Im actually glad you told me. Granted it was really sad yes. That is true. He said. But that doesnt mean that I cant gain information from the Guidecrystal. I was immediately listening.
What?! Do you know more about it?! I was probably acting like a small child when they wanted candy.
Yes. He responded. I have been gathering what information that I can from the Guidecrystal. And have come to a conclusion. If I had feet I would have been tapping them impat
