Amadalia sits on the wood bench behind a large brick wall; on the other side of the wall was the Shinigami Academy, and she had just applied to attend not to long ago. The six-foot blonde girl stares at her wrapped hands. This feeling . . . . she was very . . excited? Eager? Nervous? She had no idea what she was feeling at the moment and it was starting to confuse her just a bit. She glared, and balled her hand into fists, she figured it out: she was very excited. She was going to finally get stronger, something she's longed for so long. Amadalia stood up, exhaled, and proceeded to walk back to her temporary home in the Rukongai.
The next morning everyone who applied to the Academy was summoned to the front courtyard, the one that was right before the main entrance. Amadalia took her blue ribbon that bared her last name "Moonsong", put the front of it over her neck, and gently pulled her hands back along with the two strands left over. She professionally tied the strands at the back of

Katrina shook her head, "I don't think so, but we're here. Let's go in."
Kuchiki nodded then announced themselves before entering.
Inside the huge room sat Captain Commander Yamamoto, his Assistant Captain, Chojiro Sasakibe, standing next to him. On Yamamoto's other side stood Captain Ukitake.
"13th Company Fifth Seat, Katrina Lau-san" Yamamoto said, his voice booming throughout the room. "I would like to formerly congratulate you on graduating from the Shino Academy, and in only one year. I usually congratulate all the new graduates at the ceremony, but this year I could not do so." He nodded slightly toward his left arm, most of which was lost during the battle.
Katrina could feel her face flush with embarrassment. This was unexpected. "Th-thank you, Captain Commander."
"I know that you have questions," Yamamoto co
Damaged - Chapter 11 - Operation MindcrimeKatrina screamed as she fell through the inky darkness. Panic set in as she could not sense how fast she was falling or where bottom was. She tried to use the Shunpo techniques that Yoruichi drilled into her head to halt her fall, but it failed. Suddenly she hit the ground full force, her left side taking the brunt of the impact. The pain was searing as several ribs and her arm were broken. She opened her eyes but the darkness was so great that she could not tell if her eyes were indeed opened or not.
As she laid there in pain, she was unaware of the black mist creeping closer and closer until it fully engulfed her, causing her to pass out.

Her hair, however, had reverted back to its usual shoulder length moppiness, prompting everyone to surmise that the length was part of her Bankai, initiated by the skewed time in the Dangai.
"Why are you being my nursemaid?" Katrina asked, irritatedly. "Don't you have work that you're supposed to be doing, Assistant Captain Kira?"
"Well, you still can't see and you're already prone to falling," Kira replied nervously. "Ukitake has captainly things to do, Rukia left to patrol in the Human World and Kiyone and Sentaro are covering for Rukia."
Katrina lifted up part of her blindfold before wincing in pain, replacing the blindfold quickly. "Seriously, you should go back to your company before you get in trouble with your Captain."
"Captain Ohtoribashi is fine with me being over here," Kira replied.
Chapter 12: Nothing halts destruction“Let today be your first day then Blaze Kagayaku, I think I’ll let Gemma take things from here” Helen said, gesturing for Gemma to come closer while Helen had his mind set on something else. With a smile, Helen started to walk away from Blaze and into the darkness of the cave’s tunnels. Lucia who was about to turn with his brother to leave Blaze and Gemma alone quickly shot a glance over to Gemma’s direction.Chapter 12: Nothing halts destruction2 years ago in Settings More Like This
“I’ll be on my edge at all times, if that thing comes out then let me deal with it. I’ve had the experience” Lucia informed Gemma and walked to his brother just further into the cave.
“What comes? Is there another one of you… are you guys getting more people on your side?” Blaze asked in a concerned tone even though he tried to hide it. Gemma laughed and placed a hand on Blaze’s shoulder.
“Calm down Blaze, sure we despise Soul Society… but to you we owe a debt. I can let you know now

"How is she, Retsu?" Ukitake asked. The concern was etched on his face.
"Lau-san should make a full recovery by tomorrow," Unohana replied. "Although I feel that her mental shock may take a lot longer to heal. This is not something medicine can help with. She will need the support of your people."
Ukitake nodded. "I don't think she should know the truth of what happened in the tournament yet."
"No, and I have already told that to her. She needs to understand that we are not treating her like how she was treated in the Earth Realm." Unohana sighed. "She's a smart girl, Jushiro. She understands, but the frustrations she apparently kept inside may have manifested a Zanpakuto she may not be able to fully control."
Ukitake's eyes widened.
"That's what I got from my brief conversation with her. And how are you doing?"

The alarms blared in 12th Company's Department of Research and Development. Rin had quickly pinpointed the anomalous activity to the area of the Dangai that Katrina disappeared into.
Akon looked over Rin's shoulder to verify the readings. "Let all the captains know immediately, especially Captain Ukitake."

The sound of running filled the Dangai as members of several divisions accompanied 13th Company in the event it was not their missing comrade.
Assistant Captains Kuchiki, Kira and Hisagi made it to the area first, followed by Captains Ukitake, Hirako, Kyoraku, and Assistant Captain Kotetsu. 11th Company's Madarame and Ayasegawa held the rear, mostly because they were bored and wanted to join in.
At first they did not feel the vibrations, but soon everyone was able to hear and feel the sounds of explosions.
"Everyone back off," Ukitake ordered, keeping his hand on

"We're serious, Katrina," Hisagi stated. "Had Izuru and I not been called to defend the pillars we would've told you this sooner: You're going to have to confront your Zanpakuto Spirit. By avoiding it, you're not only endangering yourself, but those in your company and those in the other companies."
"Hisagi-san I don't even know how to," Katrina replied. "How do you face something that is not tangible and sounds like hundreds?"
"You're out of the Academy now, Katrina. You don't have to be so formal with us anymore," Hisagi said, smiling slightly.
She nodded her understanding. "Have either of you ever felt trapped while in Jinzen?"
"Not really," Kira replied.
"No," Hisagi answered.
"Ever since seeing Captain Kuchiki and remembering the last moment of my life, it feels like it to me. Only it's getting worse."
Hisagi thought for a moment. "There's something
