Amadalia sits on the wood bench behind a large brick wall; on the other side of the wall was the Shinigami Academy, and she had just applied to attend not to long ago. The six-foot blonde girl stares at her wrapped hands. This feeling . . . . she was very . . excited? Eager? Nervous? She had no idea what she was feeling at the moment and it was starting to confuse her just a bit. She glared, and balled her hand into fists, she figured it out: she was very excited. She was going to finally get stronger, something she's longed for so long. Amadalia stood up, exhaled, and proceeded to walk back to her temporary home in the Rukongai.
The next morning everyone who applied to the Academy was summoned to the front courtyard, the one that was right before the main entrance. Amadalia took her blue ribbon that bared her last name "Moonsong", put the front of it over her neck, and gently pulled her hands back along with the two strands left over. She professionally tied the strands at the back of
Damaged - Chapter 13 - BlindedAfter being evaluated by Captain Unohana, Katrina was sent to her Barracks to recover. 4th Company's Barracks were too brightly lit for Katrina to take while she recovered the use of her sight.Damaged - Chapter 13 - Blinded3 years ago in Drama More Like This
Her hair, however, had reverted back to its usual shoulder length moppiness, prompting everyone to surmise that the length was part of her Bankai, initiated by the skewed time in the Dangai.
"Why are you being my nursemaid?" Katrina asked, irritatedly. "Don't you have work that you're supposed to be doing, Assistant Captain Kira?"
"Well, you still can't see and you're already prone to falling," Kira replied nervously. "Ukitake has captainly things to do, Rukia left to patrol in the Human World and Kiyone and Sentaro are covering for Rukia."
Katrina lifted up part of her blindfold before wincing in pain, replacing the blindfold quickly. "Seriously, you should go back to your company before you get in trouble with your Captain."
"Captain Ohtoribashi is fine with me being over here," Kira replied.
Damaged - Chapter 11 - Operation MindcrimeKatrina screamed as she fell through the inky darkness. Panic set in as she could not sense how fast she was falling or where bottom was. She tried to use the Shunpo techniques that Yoruichi drilled into her head to halt her fall, but it failed. Even using Hadou 4: White Lightning to emit light failed.Damaged - Chapter 11 - Operation Mindcrime3 years ago in Drama More Like This
Suddenly she hit the ground full force, her left side taking the brunt of the impact. The pain was searing as several ribs and her arm were broken. She opened her eyes but the darkness was so great that she could not tell if her eyes were indeed opened or not.
As she laid there in pain, she was unaware of the black mist creeping closer and closer until it fully engulfed her, causing her to pass out.

"There she is, that filthy Ryoka."
"Too good to go to Rukongai like the rest of us."
"What a stupid sounding name."
"Daddy must be filthy filthy rich for her to be allowed to live on the Academy grounds."

"Huh? Oh, Captain Ukitake!"
"Lost in thought again?" he asked, smiling at his newly appointed Fifth Seat, Katrina Lau. He had stepped outside his office and saw her nearby, leaning up against the railing of the barracks and looking up at the darkening sky.
"Yeah. The curse of my kind," she sighed.
"You're not an Immortal anymore."
"Tell that to my brain, Sir!" she stopped abruptly, eyes widened in dismay ".... I...I'm sorry for that outburst. I should not have said that."
"No, no, please, Katrina-chan. As I keep telling you, a burden shared is better endured."
Katrina absentmindedly touched the black cloth collar wrapped around her neck. While it was worn for a decorative purpose, she had a

"How is she, Retsu?" Ukitake asked. The concern was etched on his face.
"Lau-san should make a full recovery by tomorrow," Unohana replied. "Although I feel that her mental shock may take a lot longer to heal. This is not something medicine can help with. She will need the support of your people."
Ukitake nodded. "I don't think she should know the truth of what happened in the tournament yet."
"No, and I have already told that to her. She needs to understand that we are not treating her like how she was treated in the Earth Realm." Unohana sighed. "She's a smart girl, Jushiro. She understands, but the frustrations she apparently kept inside may have manifested a Zanpakuto she may not be able to fully control."
Ukitake's eyes widened.
"That's what I got from my brief conversation with her. And how are you doing?"
