Friday Evening Trance - Random FeatureHi guys,Friday Evening Trance - Random Feature4 years ago in Personal More Like This
I can hardly grasp that it is Friday all over again. Almost like the sun was aware of it, it did show up at the sky after hiding behind thick fog almost all week. The fog was really weird thing, cause we had rather high air pressure here but still fog so thick it was almost surreal....
Well, just like in my journals before I like to share some things I've seen in Newest here on dA and well, some awesome stuff from my watchlist and groups I'm in.
Hope you enjoy them:
Scorpions - In Trance
I wake up in the morning
And the sun begins to shine
The day did sneak up on the night
I see your face and i see myself
And i get a little taste of life
I try to stand it for a while

Hummingbirds, reduxMy photography income comes from performance lifestyle photography: Photographing people doing what they enjoy the most. Nonetheless, photographing the rest of Nature's wonders is fulfilling. So I have kept up working on these little birds in my backyard.Hummingbirds, redux1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Morning and evening seem to be the time when I can best predict their presence at my feeder.
As long as I remain fairly still, they're willing to chance a quick visit to the feeder before bedtime.
And if you're really into these little birds, here's a slow-motion video (1 minute, 30 seconds) I took last night as well. It's actually 720p video on YouTube so if you want to see the fine-grained details, you may want to watch it there rather than the embedded version here.

Baby Geese!I saw these guys while visiting Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden. They are not native (like most of South Florida wildlife), but have apparently spread over most of the globe. Both parents were attending to them. There is very little sexual dimorphism (males and females look the same), which is interesting in the bird kingdom. One of the grounds keepers at the garden has apparently been feeding them bird seed (they are running towards him, not me in the relevant photo).Baby Geese!2 years ago in Personal More Like This

Our Affiliate :iconBirds-Club: is having a photography contest, Bird Interactions! The deadline is February 15th 2013.
Also, if anyone's interested I (Rebel--Heart), plan on making photography features on my journal. The first dozen or so will focus on birds and animals that can be found in Canada (and the US, of course.) The first one is Blue Jays, up now. (Our own CanadianRy has as least four photos featured there!)
In case none of you have noticed, our Canadian-Wildlife favorites have undergone a little upgrade. When I had started this Group, I had sent out hu
Bird battle #3 (and a little rant)Bird battle sounds so much cooler...Bird battle #3 (and a little rant)8 months ago in Personal More Like This
So far, we have the old world winning 2-0!
In this corner- weighing in at an average of 11 g- we have the cute, the curious, the BLACK-CAPPED CHICKADEE!!
Fun facts- this is New Brunswick's provincial bird, and most birds that associate with chickadee flocks respond to chickadee alarm calls, even when their own species doesn’t have a similar alarm call.
And in this corner- weighing in at an average of 9 g, we have the COAL TIT!!
Fun facts- This bird is the smallest of the 7 British Tits
Don't forget to go vote on my poll!
Now for a whiney horse rant.
Caution- I'm just writing down my thoughts and whining. There isn't really flow between sentences if that matters to you.
Y'Know how people s
