The BacklashHey guys,The Backlash4 years ago in Personal More Like This
Wow, so my deviation seem to have struck a nerve with alot of people both positively and negatively.
I just wanted to say im sorry if I offended anyone who just wanted to give some constructive criticism it truly wasn't the point of the deviation.
There were two main points in this "protest" pokeball, they are:
1. To make those who bombarded me with the "you are an art thief" comments, I explained my stance on this and some people didn't get it or they wouldn't read the previous comments I made to other people so they just wrote what they wanted and the whole thing started up a flame war, which I assure you I did not want in the least.
2. The other side of it was to those who wanted my artwork off DA because they have seen it "way too many times and DA is sick of it", I really don't feel that a small group of people could tell me what ALL of deviantart wanted to see you know? Also, I was sent many many many notes with insulting and uncalled for rude language and threats towar
AttentionHey guys,Attention3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Just wanted to say that there is a deviant by the name of ScientologyHero that is leaving comments on my artwork saying that they are her artworks etc etc. Please don't believe her because I know some haters out there love to see that kind of thing but yeah it's not true.
The funny thing is she directly stole my artwork that you can see here: http://scientologyhero.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d5fx2s9 and even left the same description! lol i know she's doing it for attention but I just wanted to point it out so no one thinks I directly take people's already finished artworks and post them as they are.
And just a short message to this classy lady, i know you know this already but you are incredibly sad to claim something is yours when it's not then steal artwork and post it as your own

Farewell DeviantartI've given this a lot of thought and I've decided to leave DA. Both of my biggest comics have gotten their own home now and there's really no reason for me to stick around here any longer. It's also clear that enough people here want me gone anyway, so now is a perfect time to pack my things and move on. I'll be leaving up my gallery for a few days and then slowly phasing it out over the coming weeks.Farewell Deviantart4 years ago in Personal More Like This

Yay for American Independence. No, really! An odd statement for a quasi-neo-imperialist to say, I know, but if the Colonials hadn't (justifiably) got shirty over lack of representation in Parliament, the British Empire would never have become the behemoth that it did.Yay for American Independence. No, really!3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Thanks to the rebellion/revolution, the British Government changed the way it conducted itself so as to ensure such an incident would never happen again.
Had they not, a revolution similar to that seen in France, 1789, would have very likely occurred on home turf.
The French leadership maintained their "all powerful" façade, and in assisting the American colonies, spent a fortune. This further angered their already irate people, who, in seeing that it could be done, decided to have a little revolution of their own.
So, with the economy booming thanks to renewed transatlantic trade between Fair Blighty and the newly formed United States and with Britain's arch enemy France focused on tearing itself apart, there was nothing to stop the Empire's expansion.

Never laugh at beginnersA clear explanation of why you can not laugh at the kids and beginners.Never laugh at beginners4 years ago in Personal More Like This
Some users (not just spectators, but also good artists) young authors criticize, laugh at "curves" works. This is silly, especially when the authors do not ask for criticism.
Criticism does not work, it just hurts. Assist cautious practical advice and training. The importance of studying anatomy, drawing and theory to understand himself. It is impossible to impose.
The only important thing: the love of his work, love for the intermediate result and a great desire to paint / sculpt. It is better if the young author will draw hundreds of pictures a month of unsuccessful than successful one once a year.
At the same time, it is important to invest ourselves into work, rather than mechanically drawing the line. But investing is not possible if you do not love yourself and your creativity.
I started sculpting in 2006. If I were recaptured desire, if not there were people who liked even the first of ... I'd never sculpted

Welcome to Ladon_________________________________________________________________________________Welcome to Ladon4 years ago in Personal More Like This
Hmmph, I take it that you are the new recruits? Well met. You are wise to choose to join this faction- we’re obviously superior to the rest. I can only hope that you are strong enough to uphold the Ladonese legacy of perfection… for your sakes. We are known for our power, our nobility; therefore, I will not tolerate any riff-raff tarnishing the name of our guild. I expect you to take your training seriously, fight perfectly, and look your status.
Anariel: *rolls eyes* So serious all of the time Fraener. We are trying to get them to join our region, not to make them turn away from us. Even though you do have to be tough to join us, I wouldn’t let him get to you. You can’t take him too seriously, I mean look at his hat!
Nngh, just remember, I am the leader of Ladon, and I have final authority. My word is final.
Anariel: *smiles* Indeed you are. Our “fearless
Welcome to Cita Erbonde!Hi, everyone! Gosh, this is so weird to be talking to you all for the first time! Er... I'll just try to be brief I guess, and make sure I don't overload you guys with information, okay?Welcome to Cita Erbonde!4 years ago in Personal More Like This
Say hi, Edol! ^^ This is Edolynn, my little baby ball-o-fire piggy! And I'm Kassy. Your region leader. "This region" being our beautiful, colorful Porta del Pizzicare! (or port-a-del-pit-ze-cah-ray for newcomers!)
Now, for those of you who might not know the lay of the land, I'll give you the skinny. There's three main parts to our lovely little bay: Cita Erbonde (the capital city), "the spit" (aka "that big hunk of land curling into the harbor"), and Cucciaio (my hometown!). Now unfortunately, as lovely as Cucciaio is (oh... by the way, that's pronounced "coo-kee-eye-oh") I have to letcha guys know... that city's off-limits for living on for y'alls. Sorry! Town ordinance that's been in place for seventy years...I'm trying my best to chat with the town leaders to get them to change that rul

Welcome to CorusTo our newest recruit,Welcome to Corus4 years ago in Personal More Like This
Good on you for choosing Corus! Seriously, it's pretty much the best region. No joke. Let me give you the run down; Corus is pretty dry and hot, but it works out in our favour, since it toughens everyone up in no time at all! And "tough" is what Corus is all about- if you're a slacker, you might want to go and sign up in one of the sissy frilly froo froo regions, since Corus will eat you up and spit you out.
So let me tell you a bit about the different places in Corus! Firstly, the biggest place here is Arcelor. That's where I'm based, and where the majority of high profile battles are held.
And don't give me any sass about how the HQ is an abandoned steel works factory, 'cause I'll smack you. This place is fantastic! We converted the whole thing into a battle academy, so anyone who is serious about taking on the league should enrol here. We got dorms, it's cool. It has huge halls for battles, and the old refineries are great obstacle courses for training.

DA pointsAlright, I've seen this happening way too many times and I want to say something about it.DA points4 years ago in Personal More Like This
100 DA points is not not worth much.
You can buy 800 DA points for $10 USD.
800 divided by 10 is 80.
80 DA points = $1
100 DA points = $1.25
If you're offering commissions for 100 points, you're being paid $1.25. If you're offering 100 points for a prize on a contest, you're offering $1.25. I've even seen 50 points ($0.63) or 20 points ($0.25). I don't know how much it is in other currencies, but I can't imagine it's much.
I spend at least 3-5 hours on a painting. Minimum wage is $7.50 USD where I live. That is not even enough to live on if you're working full time, so I expect to make at least that much for every hour I spend on doing art for someone else. If 80 points is $1, and minimum wage is $7.50, then the minimum cost for a commission that only takes an hour is 600 points. When I open up my own commissions, I take sketches for $10 and paintings for $20+ Depending on how much time it takes,
