I can't draw. I'll say that right now and get it over with. However, I am a poet. Step 1: What I did is write a poem about my inspirational experience and how they have touched me. They have had such a profound effect on my life, it was pretty easy to just write what was in my heart.
Step 2 was creating a piece of visual art to go with it. I spent the better part of today brainstorming ideas, and ended up keeping it simple. I took some snapshots of the Helena video, ones that I thought would look good in a collage-sort-of-thingy. Then, using my pretty limited knowledge of _photoshop_ I stuck them together on a black background in the formation I wanted.
Step 3 was to paste my poem next to the collage sort-of-thingy and pick a font. Then I made the most powerful phrases of the poem, to me, white. Following that was a quick insertion of the MCR logo and the text from Famous Last Words.
Step 4... spend two hours figuring out how the hell to get rid of corners on pictures, cut them into ovals, etc. The trickiest part came when I decided to stick the ghostly image of Gerard screaming (which turned out pretty creepy-looking) over the coffin. My brother had to help me with that.
Step 5, I borrowed a picture of chibi Phantom of the Opera from the deviation "Erik vs Sweeney" by Gothic-Nyu.
May it be very strongly stated that I did not draw it, and that the art belongs strictly to Gothic-Nyu. After cutting it out and sticking it in, and put a little t-shirt on him and gave it the word DEAD! plus a little red gun. I then created his little speech carrot thingy.
Final step, I put the circle of guns in the empty corner.
Yay for my very first work of visual art on this site! I'm no visual artist, but please do comment on the poem and the visual stuff if you want.
P.S. All the cool kids are putting this in their sigs!
Happy Halloween! I thought I would draw something to fit the occasion. I also wanted to draw more like a sketch for this one instead of focusing on realism. I like to try drawing in different styles and experimenting. I used a reference mainly for the face shape, but changed a lot of things to be a bit more spooky so it doesn't look much like the reference. I'm often inspired to draw by seeing pictures of cool makeup

This was meant to be something really simple, but then it just turned into this. @_@; I wanted to do something for Spirit Day because it's an event to raise awareness for bullying and is closely linked LGBT rights, which are both issues that I care about. I've been bullied several times while I was still in school, I was just always sort the "odd" kid and I had issues controlling my temper sometimes.
