I found a prime example of this in a forum for artists seeking work. The thread title was „Starting-out artist looking for a chance",, and the thread told that the artist is „looking for a client for whom I may draw" and has „just graduated from art college".
We all were at this point once, but usually it takes too long to realize that „beginner" is the wrong mindset, even if you are one. Such statements sound like excuses and are guaranteed to weaken your position. Don't make excuses. Do not justify your work, and do not justify your prices. I get asked a lot how I have surrounded myself with a nice array of models. It truly is very hard to do in the beginning. Sites like model mayhem are good but can be mind numbing. So how did it all happen?
As a young man, I fell in love with hooters wings. Everywhere I travelled, I made it a point to check out the "local" hooters. Now this was in my late teens, early twenties. Fast forward to two years ago. I had started doing the model mayhem thing and there I found a few women and it was cool but hard at the same time. I had just started shooting and had zero port. Luckily though there are a lot of women who want to be models and if your not a total freak and weird you can shoot them. Still wasn't satisfied.

Yes, I'm attaching this person's account name on purpose. After all she didn't feel bad to steal my art, alter it poorly and also claim she was the model for some of it, so why shouldn't I share her name in return? Seems only fair after all the hard work she put into it

what i have learned about health and cancerI wrote this while I was pregnant. I gave birth shortly afterward so I didn't post until now. I hope if you read this you read it and give it some serious thought.
I have had a few things on my mind for a while. Unfortunately, they are not widely accepted or very popular. But, I have experienced what I am about to talk about first hand and know that they work. I am not a medical doctor in any respect, but I am a human being with common sense. Common sense has become very rare these days. Too many times we just follow what the main-stream media feeds us to be truth. We do as we are told, or rather how we are programmed. But that's not what I am getting into today. I am getting into another subject. I am going to talk about health.
About one year ago, my mother died of cancer treatments. Notice I didn't say cancer. She died from the treatments. There are those that would argue with me or who would say that I am just grieving and looking for a reason or something to blame. Come out! You can't hide forever!No few of us are very familiar with a lady who is known in some circles as the 'Queen of the Elves'. And she has been hiding in her castle now for months!
But we've finally prodded her a bit, and have finally convinced her to come back out into the sun. But she needs a bit of encouragement.
Who? Well her DA name is Valedhelven :iconvaledhelven:, and she is the wizard of taking pictures of people and with a wave (or two or three) of her magic Wacom wand, turning them into those most mystical and elusive creatures known as elves...
As anyone who knows me at has noticed, I kind of like elves, too. My alter ego here even has one for a girlfriend. So, naturally, when the flow of new elves dwindled and disappeared, I was very sad...
I cajoled, nudged and almost begged her to come back, but it's taken a not-so-subtle shove by Christine :iconcrayonmaniac: to push her back out into the sunlight again.
