I notice that hidden settings of the Alt+Tab dialog in Windows 8 are different from Windows 7. E.g. Microsoft has removed Columns/Rows and Fade effect settings, but added Focus Width.

With Alt Tab Tuner VIII you will able to change the following settings of Alt+Tab dialog:
  • size of the thumbnails
  • horizontal spacing between the thumbnails
  • vertical spacing between the thumbnails
  • top, left, right and bottom margins of thumbnail
  • icon size and position relative to the thumbnail
  • window title text offset
  • width of the focus border

Alt Tab Tuner VIII is compatible with Windows 8 x86 and Windows x64. This is portable software and does not require to be installed.

Guys, let me introduce the This PC Tweaker 1.0 RTM app!
This is final release and it is not just good, it is WONDERFUL:happybounce:

First, I would like to say that Windows 8.1, Windows 8 and Windows 7 support is implemented. The separate version of Windows 7 is finally available.
With This PC Tweaker, you will be able to perform the following customizations:
  • to add any folder to the Computer/This PC folder. Really any!
  • to remove any folder from the Computer/This PC folder.
  • to change the icon for any folder inside Computer/This PC.
  • to add any shell location like Administrative tools, God Mode, Network Connections
  • you can pin or unpin Computer/This PC items from the Navigation Pane of Explorer in Windows 8.1, Windows 8 and even in Windows 7!
  • You can remove or add any item from the Folders category inside the Computer/This PC folder.
  • to restore defaults with one click.

I've created two videos to show you the power of This PC Tweaker:

Win7 video:…

Win8 video:…

The change log:
* The application was rewritten from scratch.
+ Added ability to add any folder
+ Added ability to change icons
+ Added navigation pane pinning support for Windows 7
+ Added proper Windows x64 handling
+ Added translations support
* Fixed many bugs

Note: the Navigation Pane editor feature was dropped from the RTM release of This PC Tweaker 1.0 due to bugs and stability issues. It will be released as a separate app very soon. I promise.

NOTE: The screenshot is showing all 3 panels at different positions in Windows Explorer. It was done to show the output using a single window. You can change position of a single panel or all using the tutorials mentioned below.

All DeviantART members love Windows customization and the best and most popular section of DeviantART is "Windows Themes" section.

Many custom 3rd party themes look much better when we change positions of Details Pane, Navigation Pane or Command Bar in Windows Explorer.

I have seen many people asking how to move Details Pane at top or move Command Bar at bottom, etc.

So today I decided to create this page to help those people.

The download ZIP file contains links to guides which will teach you:

1. How to move Details Pane at Top in Windows Explorer?

2. How to move Command Bar at Bottom in Windows Explorer?

3. How to move Navigation Pane at Right in Windows Explorer?

Some of these guides were posted at AskVG long time back and now DeviantART members can also get benefit from these guides. :)

If you want direct links to these tutorials, here they are:

How to Move / Show "Details Pane" at Top in Windows Vista and 7 Explorer? - [link]

How to Move / Show Command Bar (aka Folder Band or Toolbar) at Bottom in Windows 7 Explorer? - [link]

How to Auto-Hide or Disable Command Bar (aka Folder Band) in Windows Vista and 7 Explorer? - [link]

How to Move / Show "Navigation Pane" at Right in Windows 7 Explorer? - [link]

Feel free to ask any kind of question if you have. ;)
