Since the magnificent contest held here for Mr.Burton's Alice In Wonderland,I've hoped that someday later there would be another contest about one of Mr.Burton's other masterpieces...and WOW here its is! A contest about 'Dark Shadows' right here on dA! :hooray:

I'm participating because it's a great great honor for me to participate in a contest that's gonna be judge by Mr.Burton :hooray:

I'm totally speechless and don't know what to say save that I'm dying to see both of the new feature films,'Dark Shadows' and Frankenweenie'.

Comments are most welcome.

This is my view of Johnny Depp as Barnabas Collins. Painted acrylic and watercolor on wood panel. I love Tim Burton and it is my goal to on day work with him. If I win I am one step closer to meeting the master of his trade. You can check out more of my work at JosieDeVora.com

After doing some research I fell in love with the original series, so I decided to pay homage to both Tim Burton's recreation and the original. Enjoy!

A bit late, but here goes my entry for the contest! I didn't know the original series of the 60s, but sure this film will be awesome!

Graphite, Watercolor, Oil, & Photography pieced together in Photoshop CS2.

The wings were made out of twigs which were tied together with jute twine.

I should have just painted this on a canvas but, I haven't tinkered with Photoshop in a long time & I need the practice.

My second entry into the Dark Shadows contest. Been experimenting with a more "sketchy" look.

Drawn and colored in Sketchbook Pro with background and shadows in Photoshop.

Here's my first entry:

I used vintage Dark Shadows images for my inspiration of my Johnny Depp portrait. My medium was pen and ink and acrylic.
