Girl of springGirl of spring1 year ago in Free Verse More Like This
The girl of spring.
I don't mean some whore
With whom you had a fling.
I mean the one with scrapes on her knees
From climbing the tallest trees
She never say thank you or please
She is no slut or tease
Just a girl who loves when she feels
The breeze on her body.
She can be nice.
She can be naughty.
Her face is purely innocent
Nothing indoors can
Make her content
A lady this girl is not.
She won't put on make-up properly
She dresses, sloppily
In jeans she tore at the knee
Nothing you buy
Will make her smile
Why even try?
Spring gives her everything
No flashy car or diamond ring
Can fight the sight
Of flowers

in the brown old house by the swimming pond
sat a chair in the shadows all wooden and old.
nothing but a wooden old chair.
it had beautiful carvings along its legs,
of vines with roses on every peg.
still just a wooden old chair.
it was a chair not rocking or recliner
nor a throne or one from a big busy dinner.
only a wooden old chair.
if you sat on it, it would creak and moan
and most likely break for it can't take much more
than a small little boy sitting, reading a book
it couldn't be wobbled banged up and shook
cause it's just a wooden old chair
it sat in the corner of the right and back walls

when did repetition
become our lifeline when did
weekends become times to pass away
into the background, behind the screen
when did I miss
schooldays on the precipice
of the city, out of bounds
when did eggnog and trampolines
den houses and movie screens
become chores, when did we become whores
to society, to plans and predestination
is it a state of mind, is it meditation?
is it better for the overall population
that I cannot scan the city with someone
that I cannot enjoy company that long
I think I've been looking at a screen too long
I think I'm not

Stand up and be countedA underdog is that person who the masses doubtStand up and be counted1 year ago in Free Verse More Like This
A loser is someone who has quit the fight
A nobody denys their existance
In this life we get branded harsh things
We get looked down upon and trampled
And unfair verdicts handed down
By those who have it all
A underdog can become a superstar
A loser can become a winner
A nobody can become somebody
The underdogs spread your reach far
Losers stand up this is no time for weakness
Nobodys find your voice
Everyone who has been looked down upon
It is time for you to rise
It is time for you all to shine
It is time for you to STAND UP AND BE COUNTED!!!

As he reads the news
and watches T.V.
There's so much of this World
that is dark to him.
As he sees the pain, the hurt and the loss
he wonders what has become of this place
Greed, fear, rape and murder
It leaves tears running down his face
If he could, he would take it all
Put it in a bag slung over his shoulders
Carry the weight of all this pain
Like a bag full of boulders
Maybe if he holds it
it won't escape
It can't hurt anyone
no more fear, greed, muder or rape
The weight of it grows
he sees his way
Climbing the ladder to the skies
the wind causes him to sway
Up on the ledge he looks down

I cant say i know how you feel dispite losing someone myself
Dealing with death is like a fingerprint
Everyone deals with it differently
Just because i have lost someone it does not mean we feel the same
Yes the pain is there but to what level or how deep does it run
Is it even my right to say i can relate dispite losing someone dear to me?
I feel concited just saying i can relate i have no idea how they truly feel
I reverse this...
None of you can understand my unique pain
Assuming you know my pain is not right regardless if you lose someone too
Death is a part of life

Pushed back when you try moving forward
Tripped up at every turn
Wishing all of those haters will just burn

Swollow your fear and doubt
Inhale till your lungs get sore
And do not hold your tounge when you
Ball up your fists and raise your hand
Be sure to make those haters understand
that this scream this rebel yell
IS YOUR FINAL STAND!!!

This raging emotion.
Coursing through my veins, pounding in my head.
They speak to me, the Voices they do.
They tell me that all is true.
The insults.
The lies.
The hurt.
Oh, how I've cried.
They tell me it was all my fault,
Then you come and tell me wrong.
"It's Not too Late," you say to me.
"Ah, but it is," the Voices speak.
They tell me that you want me to die,
They laugh hauntingly when I cry.
How can I make them leave?
I need the extra room to breathe.
Fighting my breath, I raise Sterling Silver high,
Oh They are laughing as I cry!
With a smile, I hit the floor,

If I could,
Take my arm and shove it inside their bodies,
And rip their lungs and hearts out.
But no matter how much,
I tell you that I will,
If I get the chance,
Rip their faces off and feed them to my dogs.
All I want to do is shred,

I hear them whisper
From behind closed doors
I listen in to their words

Weird-

Yet-
they can still turn around
and smile when they see me
approaching.
Their lies are hurtful-
and their threat is hidden
underneath their eyes
I see what my fate has written.

The Woman in Black reviewWell this movie was definitely not what I expected. I was in the local dollar theater a few weeks ago and saw a trailer for The Woman in Black. It was the one where you see a movie theater and then there she is, the woman in black just sitting in the movie theater. It creeped the heck out of me, and I knew I just had to see this film. The Woman in Black review1 year ago in Reviews & Guides More Like This
The film is about a lawyer who goes to a small town on a business trip, desperate to keep his job. He has to sort through paperwork of a recently deceased woman. The townsfolk seem less than enthused at the lawyer's arrival, and everyone believes there is something supernatural going on. As the plot unfol
