Second go at depicting Jaelle Gudada, this time with a much more regal air, and a more comprehensive view of her Stroh violin. And looking somewhat older, because she looked too young in the first attempt.

All of what I wrote for the take 1 description still applies. :B This image was used as a master to make etchings for the back cover of the Lala album sleeve [link] .

This is another portfolio piece. I started it in the summer holidays, but ran out of motivation and left it for ages. . . I finally got to it a while ago and worked on it in between college stuff.

I wanted to do a heavily composed piece with a strong design element. I liked the pose and composition of Munshine, so I blatantly reduxed it with a very different mood and character.

She's listening to this wonderful Talking Heads song [link] hence the title. ;)

Another from last summer, relaxing after graduating by self-indulging with a mooncalf. :meow:

Inspired, rather obviously, by the Vietnam War... I have a huge book of war photographs that finally came in useful for research. Some parts of the painting are a bit of a mess, since it wasn't well planned, and some of the more awesome people amongst you might notice the easter egg I hid away, much to my girlfriend's annoyance (the painting was her birthday present). ;)

While :iconcylnx: and I were at MFF 2012 I decided to commission him and I'm so glad that I did. :iconcylnx:'s character Jamie (that bully bunny) has challenged my character Felicity to an arm wrestling match. My other character Alice knows this isn't going to turn out well :( Jamie, you'd better not hurt Felicity's arm you savage brute!!!

Jamie is (c) :iconcylnx:
Felicity and Alice are (c) to me

I had the idea to paint a more positive and confident Mooncalf portrait than I had before. The dress was originally intended to be far more fanciful and baroque but I decided simpler looked better. It shows off her rump better also. :paranoid:

Would you be ashamed?

i messed up when drawing the recent one
the eraser smudged a bit on his face so reluctantly i had to make it as dark as it is
just know that his face was supposed to be much brighter in order to show the detail that was there but is not now because i made a dumb mistake while drawing
the face is all blurry too

im so pissed off rn

A picture I did on vacation :)
For those of you unfamilar, in the comic/animated series Sonic the Hedgehog there is a squirrel princess named Sally Alicia Acorn, and this is my more mature rendering of her astride a hover cycle, pilfered no doubt from the Robotnik Empire.

One of several pictures I'm making for more mature versions of Sonic characters.

I STILL truly believe Sonic the Hedgehog would make a fine cyberpunk/action series if people took a chance and saw it as stories and characters first, anthros second.
Here I tried to show that: show the character more sure of herself and slightly older and taller, more realistic in proportions and the gear and clothing she wears.
