Indulge a mad woman
Picture the world
As a fairy tale
Forget all that is outside
Focus on a little village
A small kingdom
What can you see?
Which story will you tell?
There are so many
And at the same time so few
Is there a wolf?
A lesson to be learned?
Do you see what I wish to say?
Who is the cast
In this fairy tale play?
Who is the villain?
Someone with no redeeming qualities
Evil through and through
Who is the hero?
Someone who does things perfectly
Who is noble and wonderful
And can do no wrong
Pity the wolf
Pity the witch
Pity the king
For the fairy tales treat them ill
Pity the princess
Pity the prince
Pity the fairies and the milk maids
Who have no choice
Do you see?
Do you see what I wish to show you?
Can you read the script
And then read between the lines?
Can you hear what they dont say
And see what they dont show?
Now open your eyes
And realize my spell
Realize that the world IS a fairy tale
Just on a bi

Is it ever good enough?
When will I step back
And really look
At the pattern that is my life?
I might not have caused all
the moments that have left
those marks upon my soul
but the ones I did cause..
What was the reason?
We all choose how we
will approach life
We all choose the patterns
with which we respond
So again I ask myself...
It gets better right?
Sometimes I think
I just miss the whole

Tell me a tale of pain
Whisper a sadistic wish
We'll see it all again
Vent to me your fury
Summon forth your hate
Scream out your sadness
Let me help alleviate
Feed to me your failure
Whimper your writhing cries
Let me drink the tears
Directly from your eyes
Bleed me your passion
Let me take away
All of your heat
When you're an empty shell
A doll upon my knee
You'll never feel again
The need for anyone but me
When the heart ceases
And the emotions have ended their rage
I will be here
Your final stage

Nervous, my breath evaporates as the door creaks shut
squinting while my eyes adjust to the candle light
I feel my way to an aged wooden pew
peculiar that such antique has so little wear
ignoring anticipated discomfort, I sit
tracing the wood lines with my fingertips
now in focus, I remember to breathe.
amidst varied religious artifacts,
I sit, in a time when I have no future,
no answers, just blur.
straddling my mortality
unable to compose the right questions
biting my lower lip, I hush;
halfway expecting someone, or something
to guide me. after many moments
I pull out the tattered bible in front of me
and flip through the pages,
watching the animated words, stalling.
digging my bare toes into the floor
I see now why the seats have so little wear.
attempting to mimic past presence,
I get down and position my knees
in the well worn carpet grooves,
elbows on the frontal pew, and hands clasped
bowing my head, I loudly call out
I am here to , startling myself at the echo

"Nothing, why do you care?" if she would just leave him alone she would be safe.
"Because they don't have a right to say, 'you exist, you must be punished,' because that's just mean. And that Potter, he's so-so-so stupid! He's only going to pull a few N.E.W.T.'s if he's really, really lucky. That's one of the reasons they don't like you, I think, you are smarter than them," poor Lily, he thought sadly. The fates weren't going to be kind to her. The runes his mother had read for him had told of heartbreak after Hogwarts. And death, but he didn't want to dwell on that.
"Come on, Madame Groves won't be pleased if we go to the hospital wing, we can go to that room I told you about last year."
"You still know where it is?"'
"Of course! And Potter and his gang don't know where it is, thank heavens. How is it that they always know where to find you?" Spasmodic Lily, Severus thought sadly. He couldn't tell her it was because

He likes to eat our fruit
And spit out all the blood
And squirt it down the chute
There's a monster in the garage
One with a mighty roar
And eyes like shining headlamps
Glowing on the floor
There's a monster in my sisters room

It likes to sing and play with things

It wants to do no harm
It sings to me, and brings me dreams
And makes me warm and calm

Ruined the trust ever moreI called you to the surfaceRuined the trust ever more5 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
I called you near today
I called you to come closer
A little game to play
But nothing could prepare me
For the look within your eyes
As slowly you'd whisper
those ever pleasant lies
"I love you" you'd say to me
So coyly would you turn
"I don't believe you"
My automatic return
But deep down I knew
My words were only lies
As deep down we all know
Though we try to disguise
For I thought you would never
say those things to put on a show
I thought it was forever
A voiceless inner shell
And when the curtain finally fell
As the lights were slowly lit
My heart lay on the floor
In pieces torn bit by bit
No more your face would I see
Without a twinge of hate
The mask I will always wear
So I can make my escape
The truth no more to ever be
Ruined the trust forever lay
Between you and me

"Now, Ellena, what did your grandmother tell you about playing in the swamp?" The voice that asked the question was soft and far from scolding. Every word that the young woman spoke seemed to be wrapped in love and tied with a smile. For some, such a caring tone would be reserved for only those dearest to them, but for Jessica it just came naturally. For her, every being - human or animal, living or dead - was precious.
That didn't make the child who sat before her any less nervous, the petite girl biting her lip and hanging her head forward so that her chestnut bangs partially hid her face. Far shorter than Jessica's own locks, they were also quite a bit darker and did an admirable job of casting the girl's face into sullen shadow. Sometimes too much
Sometimes too little
Wishes fall in torrents
As we go along our way
Sometimes for hope

Daydreams we say
Daydreams that stay
Wishes aren't for grownups
So the stories say
Reality is too important
Reality is also over-rated...

You walked beneath the columns
I stood above you looking down
dressed in a white robe
while you wore black
your eyes were down turned
You never once looked up
I thought that I would feel something
Painful or bittersweet
But nothing transpired
The past, locked away
I felt sorry for you
Your eyes so focused on the ground
Never looking up to see the sky
You missed so much
Here I stood above
the world at my fingertips
Doing what I've always dreamed of
But you, still shuffling on
I saw you last night
In my dreams, locked arm in arm
Trudging ever forward
Barely controlled emotions
Rivalries and pretenses
Eyes so focused in front
That you failed to see
the damage left behind
I saw the way you both
held onto a goal but never quite
reached out to get it, afraid to succeed
So intent on where you were going
That you never took the time to see above it

There was a time when I was eight years old. It wasn't a terribly eventful time. Basically, my mother took me to the mall and we window-shopped. Then we left. That was it. That was the time.
It was the results of that time that were rather stupendous.
Apparently, as I would learn later in life, we'd walked past a security camera or two on our way out. The tape would show a little girl holding tightly onto thin air as she walked energetically through the mall while talking her own ear off. Someone noticed thi
