"It's your turn."
Il Carnefice, devoid of his normal executioner's apparel, looked up from his thoughts. He took his attention off the chessboard for a moment and stared at his friend. Malfatto simply smiled back, leaning his arms on the small table that held the chessboard.
It was a pleasant day in Rome. It was the middle of summer, late in the afternoon, the time when the Italian heat was at its most agreeable. Just below the terrace of the good Doctor's home, the merchants could be heard selling their wares and crowds of people went to and fro to either buy them or conduct social matters of their owns. It was a perfect time to sit outside and enjoy a friendly game, along with a glass of wine and a side of biscotti.
The Executioner then moved his eyes back to the board, moving one of his knights, before looking back at his comrade. Malfatto looked quite different without his doctor's attire. Instead of his usually disturbing presence, he was a somewhat peculia

Tossing his cape self-consciously over his shoulder, Ezio slid off the white stallion and edged closer to the French encampment. If he remained silent and agile, he could easily slip past the foreign soldiers and continue on to the broken aqueduct, where a large amount of spare French armor awaited him. However, a peek around the palisade walls revealed that the blue-colored soldiers were no where near relaxed that night. Each Frenchman's beady eyes were set in determination, and their weapons were gripped tightly. The Assassin shook his head- this would not be easy.
Slowly, ever so slowly, Ezio hugged the wall and took a few step

Mercer blinked and slumped into the soft couch. Desmond and Ezio sat beside him, watching the football game. Desmond looked at Alex and blinked.
"You okay?" He asked, patting Alex on the shoulder.
"No." Mercer said, the hood masking his eyes and his lips making the pouting gesture.
"Well, what's wrong?" Muffled Ezio with a mouthful of Doritos.
"I want to go outside." Alex groaned, covering his face with his hands. "I miss the feeling of the wind when I glide through the air-oh, sorry." Alex had stretched his arms out wide, smacking Ezio in the face by accident. Desmond stood up and walked over to the barred windows. He tugged at them and said,
"Why don't you just break the bars and open the window?"
"Because they're motion-sensored, look." Mercer said, pointing to the motion sensors that were right next

Ezio yawned and sat up, looking down at the tiny window in which they had a view of the street below them. He looked at the clock, which read 6:00 AM. "Great," Ezio thought. "It's early and I can't get to sleep." He sat up and stretched, hearing the bones in his ankles crack. Instantly, he turned around when he heard loud thudding, as if someone was running.

Chapter 4 Escape
Days passed and turned into weeks, and Altair still found modern day life in the 21st century to be quite overwhelming; staying in Alex and Dana's apartment would still take a while for him to fully adjust to and get comfortable with modern day life. The first step was to, naturally get more comfortable with the language, while he had managed to hold up a conversation, Altair's English still had a long way to go, what was worse is Altiar couldn't read a single thing in English either.
"You can't read?" Dana had asked the third day Altair had been living there; she had noticed he; had been struggling to read words on the food and always asked what things where; which Alex found to be irritating as hell and tended to disappear for hours on end leaving Dana to deal with the confused Arabian assassin, eventually he admitted (and this was a hard thing for him to admit; after all he was meant to be an intelligent assassin, it was hard f

Altiar sighed as he tossed and turned around in his bed for the fifth time tonight; no matter what he wanted, it seemed his restless mind would not allow him to sleep. Sighing softly the Arabian male slid out of bed; he was wearing practically nothing but the assassin didn't seem to mind; the curtains were drawn and it was dark in the room you could barely see the outline of the furniture the only light coming from the glow of the digital clock next to his bed told him it was 4:45am.
Altiar frowned a bit and started to pace around in his room; what was he going to do? There was no way he could face Alex, he wouldn't be able to look the man in the eye! Hell he could barely look at Dana right now without knowing that her brother was watching his every move; if he didn't know any better he'd say Alex's paranoia was rubbing off on him.
Ever since Alex kissed him he had been avoiding the other, and for good reason! He didn't know why

I've seen the security records from last night. You must want an explanation. I had hoped to tell you about it little by little, to get you on my side, but it's too late now.
William is using us. In this war. In this war against the Templars, he doesn't think about the lives he's hurting. We aren't people to him. How can we trust someone like that? Clay, you of all people should understand.
Abstergo cares about helping people. They understand the realities of the world, its limitations.
But I know that nothing I say now will really change your mind.
I've deleted the security records. Vidic will never know about the breach. I promised to protect you, but I can't let you leave. William and the others must never know.
Lucy stared at the note she'd just wrote, in her clear, neat handwriting. She hated it, hated herself. She knew the Templars meant no good for anyone, but she just couldn't trust the Assassins. Not after what William had done.

I'll just call you that, if you don't mind. I know it's not your real name, but your real name hard to pronounce for me. Impossible, practically. I'm not particularly proud of that. After all, I am your father and it would be fair to call you by your actual name. But it seems few people around you have a feel for the Mohawk tongue, so like them, I will call you by a simpler name.
It's been three days since you left. Three days since you walked away from me in Valley Forge. You threatened to kill me should I follow or stop you and I have not seen you since.
Frankly, I wonder if I should have gone after you. Should have helped you. I should have simply ignored your threats and followed you anyway. Maybe then, you'd see things my way. Maybe you would finally listen to me. Maybe then, you would see reason and finally trust me.
Still, trusting is a hard thing for you to do, isn't it? After all the idealist nonsense that that senile fool Achilles put in
Connections Ch 3 AlexDesmondIt had only been a week and things were going straight to hell. The bar where Desmond worked on the west side of Central Park had to be shut down. The quaint little establishment had been apparently located in an 'infected zone'. What the area could have been infected with was beyond Desmond. He just knew he was out of a job because of it. He was currently watching the news to see if there was any update on this 'infection'. Unfortunately, the cheery newscasters seemed to be talking about everything but the contamination. Frustrated by the lack of information, he turned the TV off. He sighed, got up and moved toward the apartment's windows to see the world below. There was chaos in the streets, something he had become accustom to in these past few days. The amount of chaos, however, was something that was starting to worry him. What used to be at most a few infected people had turned into a swarm of them. He needed to move and he needed to do it soon.Connections Ch 3 AlexDesmond5 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This

and please enjoy and let me know what you think
It should have been obvious to me from the moment that that I walked into the living room at Irene's house that Sherlock was indeed in love with this women. The wonderful, mystery that was Irene Adler had caught the attention of my friend, my companion, my reason for living, Sherlock Holmes. When he thought her died the emotion he felt towards her, the sadness in the song he wrote, the sadness in even his cold hearted eyes it was almost too much to bare.
I had to wonder if he'd feel that way for me. Would he almost cry at the thought of me died? Would he run to the end of the earth to save me, like I know he'd done for her when he thinks I'm stupid enough to believe Mycroft's story of her death. Sherlock may have been able to fool his brother into his cold-heartedness but me it was more difficult. I'd seen the way her very smile had caused his heart to flutter

It was later in the afternoon and Alex had run off into some other room. What did that leave Desmond to do with his free time? Explore, of course. He started with opening some of the doors in the main hall he was in. He found that most of them were locked. The last door he tried though was open. It led to another long hallway with more doors for Desmond to enter. Again, most were locked for some reason and again, the last one he tried was open. It was a surprisingly cold night in Cairo, and a young boy was sneaking around the dark farmlands, slipping in and out of pig pens looking for scraps of food to steal.
Anything the food market couldn't sell would all go to the farms to feed the animals, making them nice and plump for the rich and royals to feast upon.
The boy knew too well that what he was doing would get him into a lot of trouble, trouble that could lead to death if caught. Which is why he was being extremely careful on what he was doing, closely examining his surroundings before entering, treading cautiously across the farmland. In the dark the simple rope and bell alarms hovering slightly above the ground can become invisible.

"General, Capitan Cross has arrived" a Blackwatch Lieutenant said as he saluted, before moving to one side to let the man pass; Cross was a tall man and wrapped in thick black body armour, his face was worn and aged and he had streaks of grey in his hair, he looked to be in about his late thirties to early forties.
