Raven sat back, listening to Starfire and Jinx go on about their respective boys. It irritated her, given she was - and probably always would be - still single. But then again, she suppossed girl talk always devolved into talk of boys eventually, and it was interesting to listen to what it was that irritated the girls about their respective boys.
"Boyfriend Robin is wonderful...mostly. But I am concerned that it is unusual for the boy to spend more time primping then the girl does, yes?"
"You think that's bad?" Jinx waved her hand dismissively. "Have you seen the way CYborg goes over his car? Sometimes it seems like he loves that car more than me! It's irritating, I tell you, but what with his tech being sucha big part of him, I'd feel guilty making a fuss over it, so...yeah."
"At least neither of you has to listen to Beast Boy's blather," Raven found herself saying. "It w

Beast Boy walked into the common room, a little dazed. He could see everyone was staring at him, as if they expected him to do something, but he couldn't focus on that. All he could think of was the note he had found slipped under his door that morning.
Please meet me today on the shores of the island at sunset, where the sun will be visible. There's something I want to tell you, that I've wanted to say for a long time.
He was completely poleaxed. He'd recognize the handwriting anywhere. He had no clue what this was about. Sitting dumbly at the table, he started to eat his breakfast...but something tasted off about his cereal. Think about that later...
"WHy are you eating doggy kibble...in goat's milk?"
Beast Boy's eyes went wide, and he spat out his food all over Robin. "Nice, man."
"Sorry, dude." Beast Boy dumped the bowl

Raven sat down in the common room, sipping her tea. It was very early, so no one else was up. She had a lot on her mind these days - most of it about a certain chromatichally challenged changeling, if she was being honest with herself, though she usually wasn't - so she had trouble sleeping. Getting up having finished, she went to the kitchen.
After cleaning hr mug, she noticed something in the trash. Since emptying the trash is the last chore of the night, this meant someone was up earlier. Curious, she took a glance in, and saw a crumpled piece of paper. She'd have ignored it, but the one part that was visible had her name on it. Reaching in, she took it out and tried to unfold it. Taking it back to the table, she smoothed it out, and saw it was a letter to her. Sitting down, she read.

Raven sat in the karaoke bar, glaring at Starfire. "I can't believe I let you talk me into this."
"But friend Raven, you said you'd been feeling down. Singing gives the heart wings."
"I am not getting up there and singing."
"COme now, friend Raven, you must, as you say, cut the loosing." Starfire smiled. "I shall go first, and then you will join me, yes?" Not waiting for a response, Star leapt to the stage and grabbed the mike. She let loose with an enthusiastic rendition of "Every Time We Touch."
*Three guesses who she's singing about,* Raven thought to herself. *THen again...maybe it might be fun...* Against her better judgement, she joined Star for the next song, and actually enjoyed singing "Girls just wanna have fun." Then Star selected another song and left the stage.
"This one is yours, Raven."
As the guitar music began, she glared at Starfire. She knew this
Stupid Cupid: BBRaeI'm sitting in my room alone; as usual with a tear stained face. My heart throbs for him. He barely notices I exist unless to scream at me that I'm a freak. I can't help withdrawing from the world. It's not my fault that no one ever loved me or will. I've tried to change; useless. I fall back into old habits. I would be different if someone cared about me. Robin's nice to me but only because he fears me. Starfire likes me but I don't return the favor. Cyborg doesn't really talk to me much. And Beast Boy; he hates me. So I cry and sit in my room alone and depressed. I love him. His emerald skin and eyes make me feel emotions I've never felt before. I find that the more I like him the more I try to hide it; therefore being obscenely rude. I should really just quit the Teen Titans. Raven sat in the corner of the common room, reading her book. This was the usual way of events each day. Robin and Cyborg were sitting on the couch playing video games. Starfire was in the kitchen cooking some Tamaranean dish no one else would eat. Beast Boy was...probably still asleep, as it was only 10am.
She just had to think of him and here he was. Not that she WAS thinking of him persay.
-Of course you weren't Raven-

Beast Boy glanced around the common room, then looked at Raven. Swallowing as though he were nervous, he walked over and sat down next to her. She watched him for a while, wondering what he was up to. He was being too quiet.
"Hey, Rae," he began.
"It's Raven," she countered automatically.
"Can I tell you a joke?"
Everyone stopped what they were doing and turned around to look at him.
"Bonus points for asking this time, Beast Boy, but no."

No matter how much I loved her, she deserved so much better than a monster in the skin of a man. But I would watch her. No one will ever hurt her again.'
Raven closed the book, trying to breathe again. She'd read it three times since getting it. It was a new publication, and was rapidly soaring as a bestseller. It was a tragic love story, a man cursed with lycanthropcy and the human woman - shunned by her village for her dark aura - who saw through the eyes of the wolf to the man inside. Every time she read it, she wished it could end differently, that somehow the love she could see be

The Teen TItans were rather surprised one day when a rather large package arrived without any return address. Remembering the last time this had happened, they took all possible precautions to determine the nature of the contents before opening it.
Cyborg did a deep scan of the package. "Hmm...nothing that looks at all suspicious..."
Starfire examined it carefully. "It doesn't appear to be dangerous..."
Robin took swabs and ran tests. "Hmmm...no sign of dangerous chemicals..."
Raven scanned it with her magic. "Residue of a transportation spell...which means it got here magically..."
Beast Boy found the final clue. "Huh. It's addressed to Raven."
Raven came up and read the address. "THat's...that's Arella's handwriting."
"WHo's Arella?" Robin asked.
"My mother," Raven replied.
Carefully, they pried the lid off the box. A sheet covered the contents, and a note rested on top.

"Not that I'm complaining...but how come I've got most of the weight?" Melvin giggled in response, and he made a funny face at her over his shoulder, eliciting more giggles.
"Cause you're the boy, Gar," Raven said with a smile, "and everyone knows that the boy gets all the heavy lifting in a new relationship. It's their responisbility." This last was said teasingly, poking fun at him.

Raven looked down at her gathered selves. "I call this meeting of my mind to order. Knowledge, if you would present the issue?"
Knowledge started to step forward, but Rage stepped ahead of her. "We all know what's at stake here. They can not be allowed to interfere with what is ours! THey know nothing!"
Raven stared at Rage. THis was the last she expected from her most volatile emotion. She was even more surprised to hear a rumble of agreement from the others.

The Titans had gathered, all of them, for the first time since the end of the Brotherhood. However, this time was different. No one outside the Titans knew it was happening, as the all showed up in civilian garb. While not everyone could make it, everyone who could did.
As the guys all stayed in the back yard - which included a garden AND a pool - the girls gathered around Raven to be showed around the house. Bumblebee, Jinx, Argent, and even Terra showed up to join Starfire in looking at the new house (Kole couldn't make it, but she sent her congratulations. Pantha was with the boys out back.) Terra had regained her memories and was back in the Titans, though she had until recently been trying to get back together with Beast Boy...without much luck. Walking into the living room, she practically ripped her violet cape off and threw it onto one of the kitchen barstools. A crack splintered through the granite and she cursed as her black energy surrounded it, molding it back together. Her thoughts went back to the situation causing her emotions to become almost uncontrollable.

Beast Boy walked down the hallway in the Tower. It was December, and Raven had locked herself in her room again. She did this every year. As soon as Thanksgiving was over, she'd lock herself in her room and wouldn't come out until new years, except for quick meals and missions. He was tired of this. It wasn't enough this year to just go through the usual cajoling, begging, and pleading, only to have her retreat and lock the door. This year, he was going to find out why.
Raising his hand to knock, he paused when his sensitive nose detected a brief flare of sulfur. She had just lit a match. He waited, not wanting to startle her into dropping it. He heard her light a candle and extinguish the match. About to knock again, he heard her begin to chant. It wasn't her usual chant, and it wasn't in any language she usually used for spells. Howev

"Friend Raven," Starfire asked, "are you going on 'the date'?"

The rain had drenched my hair and was dripping down my nose. I could feel the heavy downpour slamming into me as I sat there, slumped against the ally wall. I'm 18 years old and I already had my heart broken, what's worse is that it was broken by a girl I thought would say yes: Raven. We had been showing chemistry for years and I was sure that she liked me the way I liked her. And the story goes like a cliché: Boy likes girl. Girl likes boy. Boy asks Girl out. Girl runs away.
I had showed her my emotions and she just ran, yeah, that says how much I really mean to her. I closed my eyes and started screaming and slamming my fist into the ground beneath me, busting and bloodying my knuckles as the tears streamed from my eyes. I could see the tears, blood, and rain mix together and form a small puddle next to me. I leaned over the puddle to look at my face; it was mangled with slashes across my eyes, forehead, chin, and cheek. It was because the Team had all seen w

She stayed the whole time and when the marathon ended, she got up and went to her room, leaving Gar to wonder why she had staid, but didn't mention it later. The same thing happened the next Halloween, and the next.
