Thank you for having a look Paula
Note: Since a couple of people have actually recognised this as Hilary Duff, I thought I better give her a mention! She started life as Hilary, but I thought it a good idea to freehand and didn't catch the likeness at all .. I thought, so she became 'Just a girl'.
EDIT: I'm really sorry for sending out an update to this deviation, I truly hate to do that, but this time I made an exception because the very wonderful *Rockinfroggi has made my awful video sooooo much better I couldn't not share, the link is under the materials list below
My first attempt at drawing and recording. It's not a professional operation here at house Paula But I tried my best
There has been a sad update to this drawing, it came in the shape of a small 5 year old armed with a 'smudger stick' So all the hard work on the unblended skin has gone to waste. She looks alright blended, just not as I had planned Thankfully she looks much better than the felt pen witch said 5 year old created from one of my other drawings ->
Materials this time: Graphite - 3H - 6B (touch of 8B mars lumo powdered) Erasers Blue Tac Time: About 15 hours Reference: The beautiful *FurtiveLungs The Title - I kept the same title as Anni chose for her photo, she had too much meaning involved there and I felt it right to keep it as is. A drawing for my friend, the very talented *robdolbs We did a trade and Robyn wanted Ryan Gosling. Michelle Williams is just in there for good measure Thank you for being patient with me lovely I do hope you like it, I'd like to think it looks better in the 'flesh' so hopefully some surprise will still be there when you get it
Materials this time: A4 Mellotex (the drawing is a bit smaller than A4, so maybe 10" x 8") Graphite - 2H, 2B, 4B and 8B Tortillions Eraser Blue Tac Time: About 12 hours Ref: It's a cover from 'W' magazine
Robyn drew me this gorgeous man! If you don't know Robyn, her work is beeyootiful and a gallery browse is essential!!
She is such a pretty lady and she wears very good gloves, I had to draw her
Materials this time: A4 Mellotex (the drawing is about 8"x9") Graphite (2H, HB, 2B, 4B, 6B) Blue Tac Eraser Gel Pen Time: About 12 hours Ref - I actually don't know who this is or where I found it, but courtesy of tineye it is here www.verycd.com/topics/2869714/

A LITTLE NOTE AND SOME INFO - I've had several people ask how I got the black so black, I actually get this question all the time, so I thought if I did it in a video it might be a good idea The video isn't the best, but you can see what's going on, it was a livestream so it stops and starts a little bit I'm redrawing part of the left side glove. The pencils I used were, in this order, 2H, 2B, 4B and 6B. 10 min version - www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZUDag… 5 min version - www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyvrYN…
"Good things about Mr. Ripley? Could take some time. Tom is talented. Tom is tender... Tom is beautiful... Tom is a mystery. Tom is not a nobody. Tom has secrets he doesn't want to tell me, and I wish he would. Tom has nightmares. That's not a good thing. Tom has someone to love him. That is a good thing. Tom is crushing me. Tom is crushing me... Tom, you're crushing me" -The Talented Mr Ripley
This is my entry for The Talented Mr Ripley contest [link] hosted by *Mr-Ripley There are still a few days left to enter to anyone who loves the movie Anyone who has entered, loadsa luck
