Alternate ending to Kaa and Mowgli's 2nd encounterMowgli the man-cub slept peacefully. He was high up in the branches of a large tree. He was sitting cross legged on a branch, with the soft, warm, scaly coils of a snake wrapped tightly around him. They covered him up completely, leaving only his head to rest on them. Mowgli felt no fear from being wrapped up. It felt like a beautiful, safe bed that he could rest in. Not too long ago Mowgli had been wandering lost and alone when he'd encountered his old enemy Kaa the snake. Mowgli was wary of Kaa, having once before been tricked by the crafty snake into staring into his colorful eyes. But after a short talk, Mowgli saw that he was wrong about the snake. Kaa wanted to help him. Wanted to protect him. Wanted to help him stay in the jungle. Something about Kaa had made Mowgli feel so relaxed and peaceful that before he knew it he was being cradled like a baby by Kaa before finally falling into a deep sleep and then wrapped up in Kaa's warm coils.

When he'd first been lured to the man village a year ago, things had been so fresh and exciting. The people had been welcoming and kind to him. They took care of him and showed him around and taught him how to communicate with them. But over what felt like far too short a time, things had progressively begun to change.
Many of the elders felt it was inappropriate for a boy to run about the village wearing nothing more than a tight loin cloth, so they forced him to wear large robes which tied all around his body. T
Alternate ending to Kaa and Mowgli's 1st encounterThe sound of his name stirred Bagheera from his rest. He'd been trying for the past few minutes to finally lie down on the branch and get some much needed sleep, but Mowgli the man cub seemed intent on making things as difficult as possible. The boy had ridden on Bagheera's back all day long, Bagheera had been the one having to keep moving without a single break. He'd had to move quickly, the tiger Shere Kahn could be on them at any time and there was no time to waste. He'd expected Mowgli to understand how important it was they get him back to the man-village, but the boy insisted on arguing all through the night when all Bagheera wanted was to get some sleep before the long day ahead.Alternate ending to Kaa and Mowgli's 1st encounter2 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
This time it was the boy murmuring Bagheera's name. The boy clearly sounded exhausted but thought that he could somehow convince the panther otherwise.

The swift icy breath of the tumbling breeze swirled through and over the tall mossy trees of the Indian Jungles. The afternoon sun pouring its rays over the Jungle canopy, the billions of leaves shielding the Jungle carpet below, the dry crumbling dirt of the Jungle soils vibrated slightly as two differently sized figures ran through, racing towards a large humped stone that extended out the earth below like the many living plants around it, as if it had roots of its own. Despite its large bump, the stones slanted surface was smooth and tough, perfect for the exhausted animal to just lay and relax upon without a care in the world.

Kaa's New Friend Deep in the tangled and dangerous, but beautiful jungle, a massive, handsome golden-brown python slithered his way along, feeling in an especially good mood today. He had eaten quite a large and delicious meal a few weeks ago—Kaa smacked his lips as he remembered the taste of the small deer sliding down his belly—so he had been quite satisfied for a long time. However, even though he didn’t quite feel hungry, he did feel a little snacky today. He thought it would be a good idea to go find a rodent, or even try a hand at the fish to satisfy him. But before he could get to the river, thunder suddenly rumbled overhead and the heavens wept buckets of rain down on him.Kaa's New Friend2 years ago in Short Stories More Like This

Another day had dawned, the nocturnal predators had now routed back into their dens and the Jungle morning had begun. The chirping of the birds filled the Jungle with their songs and spirits, leaving not an inch of silence as the chilly morning breezes carried their tunes through the maze of trees and other exotic plants that thrived as competition for their nutrients kept their roots continuously digging deeper into the depths of the fertile Jungle soil. Many of the now awakened animals began to step upon, as they made their way to fill their stomachs and break their fasting over the course of the night. The jungle now as lively as ever, but not every creature was awake yet.

It was one of the hottest days of the year, when Mowgli decided to leave his village again and sneak into the jungle, to get some nice juice pawpaw-fruits. The sun was burning in the sky like she did for several days now, but this particular day, it seemed she tried to fry all things wandering the earth. Mowgli missed being in the jungle with his friends and he hadn't had a fruit like that in months. No one else in his village would wander miles for some fruits, so he just left the village by passing the small river nearby. The high trees and the leaves shielded him from the sun, but it was still very hot and humid. He only wore his red briefs and sweat was pearling down his bare skin when he made his way through the almost impassable jungle.

After another normal breakfast, Julie headed out to go and get some more water for the village. Sarah, the only girl of her age from the tribe, had told her to stay for a little while until the sun was fully up, as predators tended to lurk around dawn. But Julie ignored her warnings and started her walk to the small river up north, carrying a water jug with her.

Melody of HypnosisDeep in the jungles of India was a particularly beautiful lake with clear and well temperatured water. This naturally attracted animals there, but most either left, or were never seen again. This was because Kaa had taken residence there. Kaa was widely accepted as the most dangerous predator in the jungle, only rivaled by Shere Khan, and even then many would rather deal with the tiger than Kaa. There was good reason for this. Kaa was now almost 60 feet long and 2 feet thick at his widest, and all muscle. He could easily crush the life out of any victim he pleased, even the might Indian elephant that dwelled in the jungles. His camoflauge and stealth made him very difficult to find, and most creatures didn't even know he was around. He was surprisingly mobile for his size. Kaa could easily travel over even and rugged ground, swim very quickly through water and climb any tree. In short, no animal could hide from his hunger. But perhaps his most potent ability was his hypnosis. With onlyMelody of Hypnosis5 years ago in Science Fiction More Like This

Perhaps he would squeeze his next victim to the brink of death, just to vent his frustration over the pesky mancub's inability to just stay put and be eaten? Maybe he would picture his next catch as the mancub himself, as he would twist and twirl his coils numerous times around their dying frame, crushing the very life from their body all while imaging it happening to the stupid little jungle boy.
But this time, Kaa chose to forget all about the annoying young brat, and instead focus on just how beautiful this new future-victim was. The snack in question was a girlcub, young and fair, with a slender frame

It was a dark night in the jungle. The moon was high in the sky, lighting up the treetops. On one such tree, a large snake was resting. The snakes name was Kaa, a large python over thirty feet in length. Along with his strength and size, Kaa had a few other...special... abilities. Kaa often slept in this tree, watching the nearby path. This path was one that humans often traveled, using them to get from one village to another. This particular night Kaa was very hungry. It had been months since his last meal and he needed to eat something. He figured that humans would be easy targets for him, as they often walked through here very unaware of their surroundings.
Kaas hunch was right. Walking down the path was a young girl. Her name was Tina, a very shy girl who appeared to be frightened and lost. She looked to be around 10 years old and was relatively small. This was someone Kaa could very easily coil up.
