Impression of Warcraft Movie TrailerHello all fans! I know some of you didn't get the chance to go Blizzcon 2014 to watch Warcraft Movie Trailer. An armory in Stormwind. Shining shields on walls and weapons by racks.

Close up of King Llane is thinking, maybe he's hearing Lothar reporting the war

Comment Counts Under Thumbnail Images
Two weeks ago, we released comment counts under thumbnail images to Beta Testers. Today, the feature has been rolled out to everyone. We believe that this feature adds more context to the experience of viewing artwork on deviantART. You'll now find comment counts underneath the thumbnails of deviations -- they can be seen when browsing or searching art, and also display in your Message Center. We hope this feature will help bring to light the fact

If you don't accept criticism, you won't improveThis statement is, to be blunt, incredibly stupid. I see it repeated around DevianART and, as bad as it is hearing it from the general public, I have to laugh uproarously when I see it coming from an artist. I usually try to be more diplomatic, but sometimes my inner Snape just can't be contained. If you don't accept criticism, you won't improve3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Here is the reality of the situation. A person who is building a set of skills can improve without feedback of any kind. Through trial and error, a human being can identify their own mistakes and, with honest work, rectify those mistakes. To say that this is not possible is so counter to reality as to be absurd. I could give thousands of examples but I'll just say this: if it were not for an individual's ability to invent skills from within themselves we would have absolutely no skills to pass on to other people.
Is this a good reason to reject any kind of negative criticism or criticism in general? Does this mean that criticism is useless? Absolutely not. This

DeviantART announced a month ago that through a new organization, Dadotart we applied to manage a new Top Level Domain (TLD) called “.ART.” We are committed to having the .ART TLD — the Internet addresses that could end in .ART — organized and distributed with the full participation of the global art community.
We need your help!
We need your help to show public support for the Dadotart application. The application process to manage a TLD is long, arduous, and intricate. Help us gather as a true art-centric community. This is how I was drawing when I was a teenager, something around 15-17.
Behold my weaboo phase! Yes, I was drawing animu. I never got a good grip on that style so it's all hideous.

Remember kids. If you fail at anatomy just add random lines. Random ass lines make everything better. Yep.
Just look at this person's face. Don't you want to punch it? I do, so very very much.

Are there places were street photography is impossible? Are there countries easier than others, or harder than others? How is it street shooting like in exotic places, or places you never visited, places that are completely different from what you are used to? I asked a few street photographers around the world to share with us their experiences.

Japan is a fascinating country with an unusual mix of the traditional and modern. It's a magical place filled with anime, cosplayers, samurai, sushi, and all the strangest things imaginable. Wrong! Well, not really, but this is just the cliché, outer covering. When newcomers just scratch the surface of this country, this cliché is all they find. But, in reality, Japan is a place like any other: full of human beings who have normal lives with all their little dr

Our very own keyanadrake has a book she's written available on Lulu! Not everyone can afford to buy it, and not everyone is interested, but she would be super appreciative if we could come together as a community to get the word out about her book! Check it out! That is, except when she can get away with mercy. Jaola is a woman trapped between her duty to the Agency and a deep-seated desired to be free. A gifted telepath born into the Agency, she was never given the choice. Instead, she has to take her freedom

I was poking around and caught eye of Wolf-Haven and Wolfventure....
what the fuck...? How come there's so many video games where you play wolves and just wolves D| Yes, WQ is shit, but god damn, there are other cool animals out there! Even in the wolf family, can we explore a different kind of wolf? ;__; sigh. With names like that, I can't even desperately hope that WH and WV will ever have other species choices.
What the wolf is to animal video games gives me that same sick feeling in my stomach I got when I realized the mmorpg community had no shame in copying WoW/Everquest.
I don't even get it, why are so many people so happy to intentionally compete with each other? @_@ How about a hyena once and a while or a fossa or a jaguar. A dingo and a thylacine, a tanuki or the dhole, the bear or the wildebeest. Even a coyote would be a nice bit of variety at this point.
Excuse me now, I'm need to go sulk in the corner.

Well, congrats scumbag, you found yourself a home where you're welcome. These ruins are all ours, and no one really messes with us out in the woods 'less they're looking for not-so-legal services of which we do provide. We don't have no fancy bedrooms like that Mage Guild, so you just make yourself a bed wherever you can find space. What we do have is one fancy-pants hall for eating, and believe me, we got good eats. And ale. Lots a that. Children's Literature, Morality + Changing IdealsIntroductionChildren's Literature, Morality + Changing Ideals3 years ago in Literature Features More Like This
With the invention of the printing press in the fifteenth century, and its gradual integration into society, people at last had access to literature. It was William Caxton who first saw the opportunity to make money by printing and selling those stories and fables hitherto told by word of mouth.
At this time, literature did not have age-specific target audiences. Inevitably, some stories appealed to children more than others. Robin Hood was especially popular, while Aesop’s fables offered entertainment and life lessons to adults and children alike.
It is, of course, impossible to say exactly when and how literature was identified as a useful tool in teaching morality to children. It is speculated that there was no concept of ‘childhood’ before the eighteenth century, although historians debate this, as historians are apt to do.

Okay, so this isn't exactly a journal entry. But since I can't be bothered to figure out how to post inline images in the commentary section of regular image posts, you're getting this. Deal with it.
In my perpetual state of ultimate lazyness, this image has been bouncing around for a while, and I'm just now getting around to posting it. And I've had a fair number of questions. So, I think I'll take this opportunity to walk you through some of the happy accidents that fill the days of us artists. That's right, Bob Ross may be the only one who owns up to it, but we all have them.
To me, the most important thing in art is making decisions. In fact, you can break my art philosophy into a tidy little three step triad. Observations -> evaluations -> decisions. That's the important stuff. Everything else is just about
Sakura Rant [FACTS]This got updated few times, added more information, more quotes, manga panels, more to Sakura's useful points.Sakura Rant [FACTS]3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Sakura has always been my favorite character in Naruto series, but it seems that she receives alot of bashing without any proof's, such things as calling her useless, comparing her to others(Hinata),b*tch, flat and other things. I am going to prove people wrong with using facts from manga, because anime isn't the real thing.
I saw one of the most offending journals in deviant about Sakura: http://anti-sakura-fc.deviantart.com/journal/Members-Why-Do-YOU-Hate-Sakura-Haruno-281228754?moodonly=86 so this is a payback time I guess.
Let's start with:
For that confession people started to call Sakura a lier, yet they seem to ignore the fact why she lied, she wanted Naruto to take back his promise, she wanted to release Naruto from burden. If Madara didn't tell Naruto anything then Sakura's confession would be THE S

that made it so much easier to see how some early reptiles were more similar to mammals than reptiles themselves. woooo <3
I always love it when people who doesnt believe in evolution say that its just a theory and theres no facts or that a Fish cant just suddly jump out of the water and turn into a cow or that a giant Trex cant turn out to be a stupid chicken.
