This is a Hellhound from the Sega Genesis game Shining Force. I made some changes to the sprite to make it practical to assemble (otherwise the tail would fall off under its own weight, it would have no hope of standing, and some 1x1 pieces would have to be glued on). There were two kinds of Hellhounds in the game. This, and the Cerberus, which share a common sprite with a different color pallet. Download for 1280x1024 resolution.
What is it about old cartoons and synchronized dancing skeletons? Seriously, Disney, Warner Brothers, Iwerks -- they all did it. And then there was that immortal Betty Boop cartoon with the funky Cab Calloway soundtrack, from whence i lifted the title of this piece. Technically the song is called "Minnie The Moocher", but who among us doesn't remember that old "hi-dee hi" hook?
Anyway, here's my homage to my favorite old-school cartoon clichee -- synchronized skeletons!
P.S. It's wallpaper dimensions. looks like crap if your desktop is too cluttered, but awesome if ya only have an icon or two!
