Just because I'm telling you this story, doesn't mean I'm alive at the end. This is the story of (country) the forgotten country. Nobody remembers her because she died many years ago. There's only one person who still remembers; her older brother, Sweden. This is the story of how I died.
It all started when I was four. Sweden, or Sve, was nine. "(name), bed time," he said. We were living on our own since his parents had died. I was adopted. Every night, Sve used to sing me the same lullaby. Tucking me in, Sve opened his mouth to sing; "I remember tears streaming down your face when I said I'll never let you go, when all those shadows almost killed your light. I remember you said, 'Don't leave me here alone.' But all that's dead and gone and past, tonight~"

You chuckled lightly at her goodbye. "You always act as though we'll never see each other again!"
She puffed her cheeks. "Well I wouldn't have to act this way if you didn't move! You meanie."
"I-I already apologize for that!"
She stuck her tongue out at you. "You're still a meanie. Anyway, I have to go, bye!" She quickly walked off to the south side exit of the school, her way back home and the way you used to go.
But now, with this new, better, bigger house, you were happy. No more crappy, cat smelling small apartment!
Problem is, it was a forty-five minute walk from your house.
Twenty if you went by car.
And you were NOT gonna walk home.
So you always waited by your school for your big brother Alfred to pick you up. Although he did take a while and you continuously had to call him to remind the American, you like the personal time to yourself.
You sat down under a tall oak tree and cracked open a book

You rubbed your temples before slowly letting your head fall to the table. This was your first world meeting, and as usual, it was a disaster. England, France, and America were fighting, Germany was trying to stop the chaos, Russia was scaring his "underlings", and the other countries weren't helping much either. Finland, your beloved elder brother sitting next to you, had warned you it might be like this, but you hadn't believed him. Now you did.
"Ah! _____, are you alright?" said brother asked, placing a hand on your shoulder. Sitting up, you glanced at him with your (e/c) eyes. "Yeah, Tino, I'm fine. I didn't expect the meeting to be so loud I just want to go home, that's all " Mumbling the last part, you let your (h/c) head sink back down, pouting a tiny bit. Finland laughed slightly. "The meeting's almost over, _____. We can leave soon, I promise."

You sat down at your computer, typing away to your two of your best friends: Tino and Lukas. Tino was a bubbly Finnish man who has a pet dog named Hanamatago, while Lukas was an expressionless man with a floating curl, magical powers, and a little brother named Emil.
You also had three other friends, one being your crush, Berwald. He had blonde hair, glasses, and was very tall. He spoke with a deep voice that had an accent and had these scary glares.
"Got to go! Berwald and Emil are here! Bye Tino, Luke!" you typed and logged out, before running to get the door.

Berwald nodded at you.

"Hey! You two ready to go?" you smiled, grabbing the picnic basket and blanket.
The two nodded and you shut the door to the house, giving all of the stuff to Emil, who grunted and walked to the trunk of Berwald's car and carefully placed the items there.

Today, there was a world meeting and as suspected, you came home completely tired out from the hectic change of pace. Ladonia was sleeping peacefully in his room and Sealand was with Finland for the week.
Sweden sighed a bit, taking the small sweatshirt off your shoulders before taking his jacket off and laying it over you. The navy blue jacket covered all of your body with extra cloth near the end.
Kneeling beside you, he placed a hand softly on your cheek and kissed your forehead before leaving you to go to his own room. ~Happy Birthday Sve!~
You smiled as you snuggled up against your long time Swedish boyfriend, Berwald. He ruffled your hair slightly, his usual emotionless blue eyes looking gently at you.
Berwald had been your boyfriend for over nine years. You loved his social awkwardness. You loved how he always looked intimidating but was a real softie. You loved how he was a man of little words, yet able to communicate well. You loved every bit of him. And it all started with that little note you wrote when you were in Grade 10.
It was Valentines' Day and Berwald, back then, was your best friend. Too shy to confess, you slipped him a note with three small checkboxes, one saying 'am I a friend?', one saying 'or girlfriend?' and one saying 'or neither?'.
He had ticked 'girlfriend'.
He had stuck to you thick and thin, and had never cheated on you. You had never broken up with him, ever.

You looked down the hall to your right, because you could hear snickering. Suddenly it seemed that Berwald was pushed into the entrance of the hall, you caught a quick glimpse of Mathias, Lukas, Emil, and Tino pushing him. You smiled when he looked over. You couldn't see his eyes hidden from the glare on his glasses, and it seemed like he was struggling to keep a blank face. You both started towards the other and met in the middle of the hall.
"Hey Berwald, so what did you want to talk to me about?" You looked up at him as he struggled to find words. His face erupted into a blush. You didn't know why which caused you to blush firefly as well.

You told him that you were tired of his behavior, and before you could leave, he slugged you in the face. You were too shocked and in too much pain by the sudden move he made on you, that you didn't do anything to respond back. Blood was gushing from the wound, since it was a pretty deep cut. As you tried to reach for a rag, he kneeded you in the stomach. You fell down to your knees in pain.

The sky flashed and boomed around you as you ran, tears steaming down your cheeks. The hard booms from the sky made you cringe as you searched for shelter. You ran as fast as your short legs could take you but only found trees, trees, and more trees. Why? Why did you have to be out on the night your worst fear showed its face: thunder. You couldn't bear the sound. It was so loud and scary, it shook you to your core when ever you heard it. And now you were lost outside, the sound shaking the ground around you as you ran. Finally, you found a place to hide, a small gazebo in an opening through the trees. It wasn't much but at least it was dry. You quickly ran in and sat down against one of the small walls covering your ears in a failed attempt to rid the sound from your head. You winced as the booms pounded in your ears, the tears refusing to let up. You quietly sang a song your mother had taught you, hoping it would work.
