Chapter 10: Collapse
Fluttershy slept peacefully, her animals dozed around her. The moon had just lowered beneath the horizon as the night entered into the early hours of morning. Above the mare's head a puff of green glowing smoke formed, swirling around an object as it slowly solidified. The smoke disappeared and the object at the center of it became subject to gravity once more, and fell with a clunk on Fluttershy's head.
With a yelp Fluttershy sat up, throwing the object onto her lap. "Oww," she whispered probing the growing lump with a hoof and wincing. Her gaze then fell to the item in her lap, a purple gem shining in the starlight. Eyes widening Fluttershy lifted the gem in her forehoof, "The sign."
"Well that's it for Coltshester, one last stop on the route," said Flam closing down the stand they had set up.
"Mmm," replied Flim in his half-hearted tone.
Flam frowned; Flim hadn't been the same since their little adventure. He lacked energy and spirit that had once

"Now hold still, this will only take a moment, Applejack!"
"Rarity, watch what yah all are doin' with my mane!"
"Just a little more!"
A few seconds later, Rarity turned Applejack in front a full length mirror. Her mane had simply been cut a little bit around the ends and a few split ends clipped here and there. Applejack was rather surprised how different she looked with her mane out of its normal ponytail, allowed to hang straight down. She didn't really like it all that much, it didn't look like her. "Ah don't know, Ah don't really look like me "
Fluttershy, standing nearby, gave a small nod. "Um its really pretty but I think whatever Applejack thinks "
Rarity nodded as she looked at her friend's look. "Yes, I see what you mean " she said, giving it deep thought. "Ah, lets try this, shall we?" she asked, and went to work aga
Stargazing If she had known how far this was going to go, Rarity thought, she'd have let the poor dear down a long time ago. Now however, it was too late. Spike had somehow gathered up the courage enough to finally ask her on a date; and after he'd spent the longest time stressing and dreading her response: she had said yes. It was not in the least bit ladylike to go back on a proposal like this one. She would have to go on the date with him and Celestia knows how that would go! What if Spike started telling people about it? What if he started telling everypony she liked him? She had simply not thought of these things in the heat of the moment. She had hardly any time to think about anything at all!Stargazing4 years ago in Romance More Like This
Spike had stopped by only minutes earlier and brought her a bouquet of simply beautiful roses he'd bought from Major, the flower shop owner. He had spoken to Rarity in such a sweet and gentle voice; trying his ha

When you first appeared on My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, you were but an animation error who was on-screen for a few seconds. You were meaningless. But the bronies thought differently. They gave you a job. They gave you a name, a personality, and love. They nurtured you and cared for you.
From the moment you had your first speaking line, the fans squealed. They gave you muffins. They gave you fanfictions. Eventually, they gave you a family: a loving husband, and two beautiful fillies.
Lauren Faust took notice of the brony commitment to you, and she gave you the character model, forever. And now, in The Last Roundup, they have given you a voice. They came to the brony community, and observed what we had done with your character: the funny, clutzy, but good-hearted mare who loved helping ponies out. And they made you canon.
From an animation error to a canon character, we've followed you all the way. Enjoy your special day. We love you, Derpy Hooves.

Traveling for a pony takes a lot longer on hoof than in a machine. This was the number one lesson Flim learned as he made his way back to Ponyville. It had taken him three times as long to travel the same distance he had traveled in the Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000.
Flim noticed the small town of Ponyville coming into view. Jumping behind a bush, in a way that only a childish yet fully grown stallion can. After staying the night in a small and eccentric village, Flim came across a joke shop. Just the thing he needed.
Flim had played a prank on his brother a couple years back, which had involved coat dye and a lot of screaming. Coat die would keep him perfectly disguised in Ponyville, as they would most likely run him out at first glance.
Now behind a bush, Flim replaced his usually cream colored coat with a bright blue. It was perfect, no one would recognize him now! It was the perfect plan. Flim returned to the path a continued on his way to Ponyville, completely unaware of the blu

Chapter 11: The Calm
"What?" asked Applejack looking intently at the frozen mare. "What do ya see?" Applejack received no answer so instead she followed her friend's gaze into the crowd and locked eyes with Twilight Sparkle.
She saw the purple unicorn's eyes widen and turn to run.
"Oh no," Applejack said to herself determined, "You ain't getting' away again." AJ snatched up a rope from a nearby stand and broke into a full out run. Twilight was slowing in pace but her horn had begun to glow. A flash of light and Twilight had disappeared from the market.
The orange farm pony didn't slow down. Instead she cut a sharp corner and kept running, dust rising from the road beneath her hooves. Behind her she could hear the flap of Fluttershy's wings as she struggled to keep up. "Where are we going?" asked Fluttershy, as she pulled up beside AJ. "She disappeared; we have no idea where she went!" Stress tinged her voice.
"Ah know where she went, only place in all of Canterlot she'd go," she replie

"So one thing that I've been wondering is, how were you able to run past me the day we met on the train? I've never met anyone without wings who was faster than me."
Little Strongheart giggled at her friend's boasting and replied, "It is nothing, really. I have always been the fastest in my tribe ever since I was young, and because of my speed I always lead the offensive against the Appleloosans."
"Well, ya definitely caught me by surprise!" The cyan filly smiled, and the two friends shared a laugh. Rainbow Dash decided to fly out to the plains near Appleloosa and visit her new friend Little Strongheart's village to spend the day with her. The pair decided to have a friendly race later on in the day, but currently Rainbow was helping the young buffalo with some village chores, like collecting berries for the buffalos to use as food and face paint.
The two trotted side by side underneath the hot desert sun, searching the dust for any signs of berry bushes. Rainbow beamed excitedly acros

The next morning, Fluttershy and Trixie shared a breakfast of oatmeal again. Trixie found it easier to get around and ate almost an entire bowlful. She realized most of her original wounds were healing nicely, and while her side was tender it wasn't painful to move, usually.
"The others will want to know you're up." Fluttershy said. Trixie glanced down at the floor.
"Will they really care?"
"They're my friends too." Fluttershy responded. Trixie nodded, understanding what she meant.
"Shall we... go out?" Trixie asked. Fluttershy paused.
"Are you...are you sure? They could come..."
"Trixie has healed excellently under such adept care." she smiled at Fluttershy, who blushed slightly in response. "Besides," Trixie said softly, "she promises not to exert herself. She doesn't want to spend a single day more bedridden."
"Okay. A day out would be...nice." Fluttershy smiled. Trixie nodded and waited as Fluttershy cleaned up breakfast. They made their way to the door. That same rabbit

Trixie made her way down the stairs unsteadily the next morning, feeling rested but hungry. She realized as she walked down that she was being watched. Looking around, she found a white rabbit standing on a small end table, glaring at her. It made her feel unwelcome, but Trixie just glared back at it.
"Do not mess with Trixie, rabbit, or she may make you part of her next routine."
The rabbit did not look amused. A noise distracted her, and Trixie looked up to realize the birdhouses hanging from the ceiling were occupied, small sparrows talking to one another from their houses.
"What kind of house is this?" Trixie just stared on. Another bird emerged from a larger house. It was a robin that began to whistle a tune. To Trixie's surprise, a silky voice sang back, wordlessly, in perfect key.
"Good morning- oh, Trixie!" Fluttershy entered the room from the kitchen. Trixie realized she had a light blush on her face and immediately scolded herself. Why was she blushing?

Twilight sat with her five friends as they chatted about the exciting day they had all experienced. Today was the day that Rarity and Fluttershy had became a couple. This meant that there were now two couples in their circle of friends, Rarity and Fluttershy, and Applejack and Rainbow Dash. The group often joked that Twilight and Pinkie Pie were next, although they vehemently denied it. Well, Twilight denied it, while Pinkie just giggled at the idea. Eventually the night wore on and the ponies had to retreat to their homes. Applejack and Rainbow Dash went back to Sweet Apple Acres, to spend the night with each other, while Rarity and Fluttershy went back to the Carousel Boutique. Twilight and Pinkie Pie parted ways, and were the only ones to go home by themselves. Twilight returned to the library and made her way upstairs to her room. Spike was flat out in his basket, his snores drifting through the silent library. Twilight settled down into her bed, ready to just drift off into a deep

Pinkie's eyes darted around the room, scanning for something sweet to eat. The only things on the table were bread and salad.
'Mom must've hidden the deserts' Pinkie thought, frowning as her stomach rumbled.
Baby was hungry. Very hungry.
They must have been eating a lot, since Dr. Phantom had said that Baby was as big as an unborn foal would be at five months, not four like it actually was.
The others had gotten worried when Dr. Phantom told them the same thing about their babies, but Pinkie didn't.
Dr. Phantom didn't say it was anything to worry about, so she didn't worry. Why worry when you don't have any reason to?
She was vaguely aware of some-pony saying her name, but didn't respond until she heard some-pony call out, "Pinkamena!"
The pink pony looked around for a moment, searching for the source of the noise. Finally, she found it.

Chapter 6: Dusk Shine, Get Ready!
With a loud thud, and the sound of wicker forcing dirt and rock out of the way, Dusk Shine's balloon landed at the outskirts of the Everfree Forest. The balloon was close to the gnarled, sharp and unkempt treetops, but none of the six ponies were concerned with its safety. In a hurry, Rainbow Blitz flew out of the basket and landed on the ground, beginning to tap his hoof as soon as he touched the soil.
"Come on, hurry it up. We don't have all day!" he snapped, looking to his friends.
"We're goin' as fast as we can, Blitz," Applejack replied, hopping over the edge and landing near Blitz. He took a brief moment to shift his hat out of his vision. He opened his mouth to speak, but was interrupted by the sound of grunting and hushed curses coming from the balloon. Both he and Blitz looked over to find Dusk angrily kicking the door to the balloon out, and in his short outburst, he tripped over the edge of the basket and fell forward. Dusk let out a

The door slammed shut, sending shivers through the walls of the library. The sun sat at a high point in the sky signaling that noon was nearing. In front of the recently closed door stood Twilight, shaking as tears streamed down her face, creating dark streaks in her lavender fur.
Confusion overwhelmed her, her heart felt heavy, her mind giving way to chaos. A flare of anger surged through her, her eyes screwed shut and her horn began to glow. The sound started off as a soft rustling but grew into a near thundering sound. In a flash of pages every book lining the library walls flew from the shelves as if each book was attached to a jet packet. Some slammed into walls; some went to the floor, others finding their resting place on another shelf. One book in particular collided with the head of a small purple dragon. Spike, who had been making his way to the front door after he first heard the door slamming was blindsided by a leather bound book and brought to

"Listen " Fluttershy said trying to think of what she needed to say, "I I know who you are and " What was she to say? She racked her brain for the answer, but none seemed to come. The dark creature made slow steps towards her, as she slowly stepped backwards.
"LEAVE HER ALONE!" Suddenly came a loud cry. Fluttershy turned her head to see a pink blur rush in from out of nowhere, before striking the dark creature.
The dark creature let out a loud roar as it stumbled backwards, before twisting its head to quickly look at the pink mare that stood triumphantly before it.

It was, however, the first time it had landed her in bed with another mare.
She blearily opened her eyes, the open curtains allowed Celestia's sun to invade her retinas in full force, making her clamp them shut again. She then clamped a pair of hooves to her head, and took up the foetal position. The irritatingly familiar sensation that made every noise seem like a horrifically out-of-tune violin being played in her skull returned. She summoned the energy from her massively depleted reserves to stretch her limbs, which relieved her aches, slightly.

I've been stuck as a statue for a full year now.
After having previously been in the same situation for more than a thousand years, you'd think one year would fly by. It doesn't.
I swear, either those ponies were taking their sweet time with changing the seasons, or time really did slow to a crawl for the past year.

Over Canterlot the last rays of sunlight disappeared of the horizon, bathing the sky in an array of colors. Above the gardens of Canterlot the two royal sisters stood on a balcony, performing their daily duties. This was the time they spent together, the time they felt most connected. The last light of day blinked out of existence and Celestia went back to the castle leaving Luna to finish raising the moon.
Tonight the moon was full and ripe. The golden white color bathed Equestria in its beauty. With a sigh Luna watched her friend rise into the sky. Then a flash interrupted the beauty. A bright purple light flooded the gardens, causing Luna to wince back with squinted eyes. As the light faded into glow, Luna hurriedly raised the moon, and leapt from the balcony, ready to investigate the strange happening.
In the gardens below sat Twilight Sparkle. Her eyes were closed and she was surrounded by bags of luggage and a dizzy purple dragon. Spike wobbled back a few ste

Twilight stumbled into her wearily into her house and collapsed on the couch that was the main piece of furniture in the library. Her cheek was pressed against the soft plush fabric her eyes closed as she breathed slowly. Not only had that been horrible and disgusting but it had been an embarrassing as well.
It had been so odd, she thought rolling onto her back and looking up at the ceiling. She could hear the whistling snore from Owlicious behind her as he slept. She had felt fine only moments before, and no one in town had been sick recently. Not to mention that Twilight never got sick, except for when her stress got the best of her. But that didn't make any sense either, she had been the most relaxed she'd been in ages.
"Oh hey Twilight, I didn't expect you to be back so soon." Spike had come from the back store room where all the rare books were kept.

"Brother!" the words rang through the forest. The voice was laced with annoyance, but the noise was enough to rouse the sleeping stallion.
Flim found himself leaned up against a tree in what appeared to be the middle of nowhere. The recognition of the voice cut some clarity into his hazy mind. Standing up he dusted off his collar, straightened his bowtie, and cleared his voice. "Over here brother!" he called out.
Flam's head poked around the corner of a tree. His eyebrows were slanted inwards. He was clearly not happy. "Where on Equestria did you run off to?! We've got to get a move on if we are going to make it to Fillydelphia on time."
"Oh don't get your tail in a twist. Remember what Mother said, anger is not very becoming of you," Flim said with a wink, only angering his brother more, "And we have plenty of time."
Flam sighed and straightened to full height, silently counting to ten as he calmed his temper against his naïve brother. "Better?" asked Flim.

The sun was just beginning to rise as the six ponies and the dragon stepped into the home of the royal sisters. As the sun was rising, the guests were not surprised to find that only Princess Luna was there to greet them.
She didn't speak, but rather chose to lead them into the hall which was decorated with stained glass windows depicting acts of heroism not only by the six mortal ponies, but also by the two princesses.
They were not alone. Standing in front of the newest addition to the hall-the image of Discord's second imprisoning- was a light blue unicorn using magic to clean the glass. The unicorn wore a cloak and hood, obscuring their face and cutie mark. They seemed to not realize that any-pony had entered the hall.
