White Fang and his fellow wolves pop out from Jack London's masterpieces. The Call of the Wild was first published in 1903, and White Fang in 1906. This hardbound book with both stories is from the 60's. On the left, mountains rise up from the snow covered landscape. On the right, the wolf pack stand together on a snow covered peak. Both scenes are cut into layers giving the illustrations a 3D effect.

The perfect gift for any book lover! Imagine handing your favorite book work this antique hardbound book, lovely in itself, to have them flip the cover to find a bouquet of roses. The first 250 pages of this book have been carved away and with them six roses, tied with a bow, have been sculpted. The book is from the Grolier Classics collection. Published in 1956, this volume holds Jane Eyre (Bronte), Maxims and Reflections (La Rochefoucauld), Essays of Elia (Lamb), and The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam.
Beautiful flowers rest on top of this alteration. Each flower is handmade. Each variety of flower is made from the pages of a different book, giving every variety a slightly different color from the next. There are two dozen flowers total.

A ship is fighting treacherous waters! The pages of Clifford Dowdey's 1944 novel "Tidewater", have created an angry sea. A beautiful ship, complete with helm, three masts and two cannons, is bravely sailing it's way through. A perfect gift for the book lover or nautical enthusiast!
Two roses have been made out of the pages of "The Secret Garden". They stand on a painted wooden base under a glass dome. The butterfly on the base is also made from "The Secret Garden". Dome stands approximately 9" high by 6" wide. Glass dome is removable.
I'm not sure this can be called a book alteration, but since I used left over pages from a previous alteration, I'm going to go with it.
In this book sculpture we catch Pandora just as she opens the forbidden box. One LED light shines out of the box. A on/off switch is also hidden inside with battery pack access under the book. Book altered is "A Book of Myths and Legends" published 1947.
