I went on a parts hunt with my friends Maddogmaxx and pepelpew. I found all kinds of scrap metal parts and put this sculture together. It's held together with magnets and the parts aren't anchored yet, because It may change. I was trying to come up with a nice background set up for displaying my goggles and light sabers and whatever else. The beacon was Photoshoped in.
I've finally got my new place, or at least my bedroom/work area the way I want it, more or less. The next room over has lots of work bench space and peg boards for all my hardware and various tools, dye and airbrush areas, etc. (its a mess still) but I prefer to do non messy jobs such as tooling leather and assembly tasks in my room. I built the black table and it's the main work surface but I work at the corner desk too in front of the computer for some projects.
My setup isn't for everybody but I like having everything centralized. At my last place I had a fair sized shop outside that I did everything in but eventually I migrated for various reasons, heat being one. I also like to multitask, or almost have to really. So with my computer nearby I can put on some audio books, video stuffs or whatever, I normally like to soak up as much educational material as I can. My comp hooks up to my TV too so that's also handy. I also use the TV and monitor to display reference material if I'm doing a project that requires it, such as the currently active Zelda project.
It's more efficient and works out for me. And yeah, I dig posters and such but I don't put them up because of that, mainly I put them up because I HATE white bare wall space. It's so mundane and boring so I put up coverings of all sorts to cover it.
Felt like having an update to my other ID was trying to get some pics of him and he hopped onto my shoulder.. or climbed rather. So took a quick snap and thought it looked quite nice. Specially as I was wearing yellow and blue eyeshadow aswell
