This is Maddy, the OC for and is enrolling as a freshmen this year at Kaon Prep [link]
I was given a lot of creative freedom here, DragonFlame said that Maddy was shy, usually with her books or sketchpad, happy... and had little ear things like Optimus but smaller. She also said that Maddy's alt mode was a Voyager sized Camaro so she's pretty huge for a freshman. I figure she's easily bigger than most of the boys in her class so that's going to make things a bit rough for her. I also tried to add some "dragon-y" elements to her since DragonFlame is also a big fan of Dragons. Note the shape and crest of her helm, the elbow spikes and the knee caps (suggesting that maybe she turns into more than just a car...)
Still though I'm quite happy with how she turned out and hopefully DragonFlame likes it too.
If you're interested in getting one of these little guys for yourself, I'm planning on releasing the final design on my Shapeways shop but it's a slow and costly process. In order to move things faster as well as be able to sell these sets directly I'm trying to save up for my own 3D Printer. This will let me produce and test stuff faster as well as make figures at a larger scale than this. If you'd like to help me reach that goal, I'd be most grateful and have a few rewards lined up for my backers. Please take the time to check out my GoFundMe page, thank you.
Part of my ongoing series of characters from Transformers re-imagined as faculty for a High school (and stuff I draw during my train ride to and from work). This is the School Secretary, she handles most of the correspondence and phone calls w/ the parents and all. The decepticon Thunderblast from Transformers Armada was originally called "Chromia" in the original Japanese version, then renamed for the English dub. Maybe 'cause Chromia was supposed to be an autobot and Ironhide's girl friend...
Still though I'm really happy with how she came out.
All finished modeling up the 2nd bot in Wave 2 of my MiniBots line of action figures, Psychiatrist. He stands about 3" tall or so and is now moving on to the testing phase. The figure comes with 2 heads, 1 that is a bit larger and has a removable helmet that can be swapped with other figures and a smaller one that is better proportioned for those that may not want the "chibi" look. Once I've tested the figure I'll make links available to my Shapeways and Sculpteo shops so you can order your own figure ^__^
This is the second character set to go w/ my new minifigure line "Action Formers". This set is a visual homage to Pipes from IDW's More Than Meets the Eye comic series.
Once I've tested the parts you'll be able to get them from my Shapeways shop and I'll update this listing with a link.
The name is, of course, changed for copyright reasons. The minifigure is based on an articulated protoskeleton that you attach armor parts to. The figure ends up being about 2" tall but doesn't transform so it's more of an Action Master in that regard but is more posable.
