So, you're looking to make your mark on the world of art with your own sprite comic. I admire your spunk. But it takes more than spunk to make a good sprite comic, and you've probably figured that out by now, which is why you're reading this text. Being the author of a Sonic sprite comic that has been published regularly since 2005 (along with miscellaneous comic-making experiences going back a year before that), I speak with confidence in giving you the following tips for both starting up and continuing a sprite comic. I will give tips for making a comic with MS Paint, though the concepts should carry through to other comic-making software.
1. Lay down a framework for your comic.
If you're starting out making sprite comics for the first time, write down your answers to the following questions.
= Who are the major and minor characters in my comic?
(This lets you know whose sprite sheets you need to find.)
= What will the persona
