This is my final Art program projects... Got an honorific mention for it from the whole art departement of the school I study at.
I received many compliments from viewers as well from a contemporary artist who would like to meet me to learn more about my creative flow.
so behold! The result of 3 years of study in fine-art.
there's 225 pillons made of wood, and on each pillons there's a selected image that represents a dark face of humanity (drug addiction, war, slavery, genocide, pollution, corruption etc.) And the viewer is asked, with a cup of sand, to recover the structure (a metaphorical destroyed city), which forces the pillons of different height to disapear one after the other under the sand... so the viewer is actually dealing with a moral debate = participate and force the images to disapear under the sand? or don't participate to remember...
a metaphore to represent how, we as human, tend to forget the violence of the past and redo the same mistakes.
