In 1982, I did this art, as an assignment, called "Force of the Future", along with several other works, using the space theme (the theme idea was left to our own interpetation)
The dirigibles were used to seed grass, in order to create oxygen for the new atmosphere of Saturn's largest moon, Titan.
I used this art, along with many space themed paintings I'd done at Art Center College of Design, to get jobs in New York City, once I moved there in 1983.
Some years later, while in a book store, I saw this art on the cover of "The Big Lifters" by Dean Ing. Flabbergasted, I called Tor Books, to ask why I hadn't been paid, or notified. It was one of those cases of the dark side of publishing, using artist's sample work, to cut budget costs.
I ended up with an apology, and appropriate payment, but the quality of the slide that was used, was poor, compared to the transparancy I had.
