this image was inspired by a couple of stories I heard about angels and demons not so long ago. In one of the stories, an angel appear and saved a person, that angel was wearing medieval body armor and a long sword. I loved that idea, of a "warrior angel", an angel that not only could influence people on Earth but also act with strength.
Well I thought it could be cool to present a fight between this angel and a demon I heard of in other stories.
And I think, the outcome would be like throwing water to fire, even if you put out the fire, lots of the water becomes steam. So I thought I could use that for the story and for the outcome of this fight.
Whoever wins, will not be as pure evil or good, as they were before this fight, and so there will be no place for them in neither hell or heaven, only as a human being.
Well this is my fiction for this pic which is also my entry for Bring Your Vision to Life Contest.
I always wanted to know if here was a place somewhere else on this universe compared to earth. I guess I never thought it could be a moon . I present you the alpha centauri solar system. Hidden from human eyes this system is amazingly beautiful. Like a treasure waiting to be found it will wait untill someone discovers all among them.
This entry is created for the contest: Beyond Frontiers, Unknown Moons
Wow! Thank you so much for the Daily Deviation! <3
For this contest I decided to emphasize the duality of human nature by illustrating the darkness lurking beneath the surface of a young "pure" girl. I chose to depict this through water for its symbolic and cultural aspects. Water brings life, and without it, we would not exist. The ponds surface also acts as a mirror, which is seen as a confirmation of existence and truth. Similarly, emotion plays an important role in this effort, as it can alter what one considers to be socially acceptable. To accentuate this, theater masks were incorporated into the border each depicting a different emotion. Fear, sadness, anxiety, and anger all affect ones primary impulses, and can alter even a civilized persons disposition. The internal struggle we all face is seen through the decisions we encounter every day. Personal morals and ideologies are constantly being challenged, and ultimately inspire our conduct. Though it is a difficult battle, it is an unavoidable truth of the human condition.
Well... i finished this a lot sooner than i thought i would XD! I don't think i have ever put this much effort into something O_o I mean i always do my best but i think i reached a new level on this and it also taught me that i should take more time with my work... this was really fun and even if i do not win anything i have at least learned a few things and upgraded my skill some!
Look for the little details here too, the picture is flipping huge so i could add in little details... like the fairy on the Crystal and the scales and ring mail on the knight. XD Everyone was going with a heaven hell kinda theme... so i went with a Dark Knight Paladin theme XD Hope you like and please... feel free to fav the heck out of this so i have a chance at least at the community prize LOL XD
My entry for the Myths and Legends: An Illustration Contest.
I'm a personal fan of illustrations, and I am also a personal fan of myths and legends. So this contest seemed pretty much amazing. My original idea was to do a graphical representation of the destruction of The City of Atlantis. I started to do it, and the picture just got wayyy too complicated for me at the moment. I also then was having a discussion about Diablo II with some buds of mine, and I remembered just how awesome Baal was.
After some research about Baal, I came to find that he is actually mentioned in many religions. By some he was the god of thunder and rain. By some he was the god of fertility. By some he was the brother of Diablo and the Lord of Destruction. Either way, I found it interesting that this 'Baal' existed in so many different beliefs. And all of these, he was a god. I, thus, decided to draw him for my entry. In this picture he is a mixture between being the god of fertility and being just a creator of worlds.
This piece was the first time I had dealt with texture on surfaces. I thought that I did a fairly good job with the feel of the cloth and sand. I have a long ways to go, but I don't think it was a particularly bad start.
