Dark blue eyes glared straight ahead into the growing darkness their normal shine glazed over with boredom.
Kale sighed, bringing a hand through his black hair.
He muttered. He had missed his bus, and was now walking home. The sun was sinking lower on the horizon, pulling along the dark curtains of night. He walked as quickly as possible, his back aching from his weighted down backpack, and his legs starting to feel more like rubber than flesh and bone.
He cursed himself over and over again. He would never miss the bus again, and couldnt believe just how far away his house really was. More than two miles heck, maybe more than five.
