Yeah, I know - another N7 armor build.

Well, this is what I was able to get done this week. I have been reading up on how others have done theirs and kind of adapted my own methods for templates and checking proportions. But with that said I really have no idea what I am doing. :)

The front and back are actually one piece. From the other builds I have researched people typically keep the front and back separate so they can strap themselves in. I decided to try and keep it as simple as possible and see if I could get in and out of a one piece chest on my own. Turns out it's much easier than I thought. The ab and lower back sections are going to be attached as well and connect between the legs. For the forearms, I am going to add two sets of straps as opposed to the single strap that is seen on the in game armor. That way I can pull the foam closer to my arms and give it a cleaner look. Strapping will have to wait until after I seal and paint though.

Materials are your standard EVA interlocking floor mat (1/2 inch), Black foam sheets 8.5 x 11 inch (1/4 in thickness), and 3mm white Sintra board to help guide certain areas of the armor into shape. The white sintra doesn't bother me since it is all going to have to be repainted anyway (the gray is too bright for my liking)

Oh boy, such a creative title...

I haven't updated my DeviantArt with anything in a while, so the other day I was browsing through the photos my friend Maggie had taken at the Bristol Renaissance Faire last summer.

I decided to pull myself out of one and plop me into another setting.

Hi everyone
This is my second Mass Effect cosplay (first was Shepard's Cerberus uniform).
It's Shepard's N7 armor from the Mass Effect 2 and I really love it. Yes, it's not complete yet, but I think it already looks great. It would never exist without my best friend Arenoth :iconarenoth: who did all the plates (it took him about two or three weeks). I did the paint-job.

And I'm still first and only Shepard in the Czech Republic (maybe even in the central Europe)

Now with red! Hooray! And a better camera. I touched up on the shading a bit, mostly because I slept on it XD

Thane Krios from Mass Effect 2 & 3
(The title refers to what he says sometimes when he kills people in ME2)

This is a photo of my work, so the image might be a bit skewed and stretched from my using "Warp" in Photoshop, so apologies for that. I wish my scanner was bigger... and better.

Because it's such a new game, I won't comment any further for a while, except to say... he bloody well deserves a picture which took me about 15 hours to complete.

I considered doing a final layer of scales but, considering that would take me hours and hours and, in the end, probably not look that great, I decided against it.

Character belongs to BioWare, and all the Shepards (including mine) who he romanced!
