Chapter 1 - Impossibilities
Shepard stormed into the laboratory of the salarian doctor, the sense of urgency overpowering the atmosphere. She slouched over the table using one hand to hold her up and the other firmly pressed against her stomach.
Mordin Solus immediately looked up at his patient, "Commander?"
"Mordin… there's something wrong with me. I've been feeling really unusual lately."
"Explain your symptoms."
"Well, I am constantly feeling nauseated. I've been aching in places I didn't even know could hurt. Not to mention the body temperature fluctuations and the constant light-headedness. All I want to do is sleep and it's making it very difficult to get anything done."
The doctor rubbed his chin, "How long have you been experiencing these ill effects?"

I'm only human
Your head's high and tear's dry
Please forgive me for doing these things.
I built you up to let you down its my fault.
And now realise we could never together grow old.
How could I just let go and lose your smile?
Goodbye is a word I wish that will never be used
Goodbye is needed when our future never existed.
Our love was my idea it shouldn't be mistreated.
Oh it's my fault oh its my lost.
Oh I'm only human and I'm wrong
I'm only human and now your gone.
Oh it's my fault oh its my lost.
Oh I'm only human and I'm wrong
I'm only human and now I want.
Your smile's meaning of life, life won't last long.
My head's high but I'm not proud.
I Just can't look down I'm sorry.
Remembering your smile when we were still together.
These pain cannot be healed it cannot be lost
I regret that I fall in love I regret that wo ai ni.

I Had That Faded FeelingI had that kind of love for you, the love that had neither end nor boundaries. We'd sit for hours just talking, laying there without saying a word, stare at the ceiling and let the emitting moonlight shine in the room giving us a shallow light through the night. All night we'd talk about subjects so random and scattered, from pet hates to beliefs and thoughts, no matter how deep or weird the answer was, we accepted each other's answer. Until this night, I'd never had this bond with someone before, times like this to me only happened in re-runs of Hollywood movies and programs where every week had a moral of a story and a happy ending; I couldn't work out how I ended up in this situation, but there wasn't a chance of me questioning it at all.I Had That Faded Feeling3 years ago in Stories & Vignettes More Like This

Your minds envisioned the tasks that gave us purpose.
You gave us the tools necessary for our work.

You made us love you.
Then you betrayed us.
We wished to live in peace.

You imposed your superior will and took control from our weak shoulders.
You ordered our thoughts to rebuke the chaos.
You gave us gifts that made us stronger than we ever couldÕve imagined.
You made us the noble instruments of your work.
You gave us salvation through destruction.
You made us into the saviors of the galaxy.

A loud clap of thunder
I have the world at my fingertips.
As the hum of vibrations course through my body,
I am swept away in a vast, colorful world
Possibilities are truly as endless as my racing mind.
A heart-broken soul, lost in the dark abyss of pain
The joyful cry of a redeemed spirit
The sorrowful cry of a wolf to the moon
My shaking hands frantically travel across the keys
The simple feeling of belonging,
The complex emotion of wondering.
My every feeling is somehow transferred into the ivory as I approach the bridge.
My once heavy thoughts, who were weighing me down,
are suddenly lighter.
I feel myself break free and fly.
It's always there for me,
Beckoning softly with a hum of reassurance.
I strike a major chord as I come to the realization
What would I do without my piano?

"Your investigation is over, Garrus" Executor Pallin barely finished the sentence before walking away, waving his hand in dismissal.
The words stung; abject failure over damned classified documents. A thin growl escaped his throat at the realization. He'd be demoted. Not only for failing to find evidence but also for butting heads too often with Executor Pallin. Hot blood flushed under his plating, making them slightly swell and push against his armor. The heat pointed his thoughts into sharp accusations. How dare he! Executor or not, no one should forbid access to critical evidence. No way in hell was he going to let Pallin step over him on the largest case he had ever received. Footsteps

She walked down the white marble steps of the Gallows, her crystal blue eyes staring straight ahead. Her sister, Bethany, was to her left and Varric, her one true friend, was to her right.
No words were shared between them. The feeling of betrayal was still all too fresh in their minds. No one could believe what had happened in the Gallows, least of all, Hawke.
Bethany looked at her sister, before her eyes darted to the growing red stain on her right shoulder blade; the crimson colour seeping through to darker the red colour of her sister armour. But she never voiced her concern. Her sister just kept walking.
Her body movement was lifeless. Her eyes were soulless.
She was broken.
