Jaldabaot was very pleased.
For months he'd been drifting in and out of awareness, managing to get a grip on himself for a while too short to rejoice, just before a will far greater than his own plunged him back into oblivion. He could not see, hear or feel anything then. And the recently very scarce moments of painful awareness were filled with agony, as his God-crafted body convulsed, trying to turn inside out appalled at the unnatural dark intrusion it had to endure time after time. The only agony worse than that was what he felt when the Anticreator took direct control of him all over again. The pain was excruciating, it left no space for thought or feeling, or even comprehension. Only when Darkness let him be, everything that happened around his body, while he was blinded and deafened by pain, came back to him at once, flooding his mind with conversations, visions and actions, almost none of which memories were pleasant.
Except for that recent one. The one th

The silver angel woke with a sob. He was lying on the couch in his own flat, yet everything hurt. Jaldabaot tried to remember why, but that made his head ache like it hadn’t since the day he escaped from the Anticreator’s possession. He shut his eyes tight again and tried to just curl up instead, but that only made him hurt more and caused something cold and wet to slide off his face and fall to the floor.
The Eon of Eons sobbed from pain, flames waking under his closed eyelids.
Daimon Frey stirred, and raised his head, shaken out of his reverie by the sound. The melting icicles splashed and rattled, rolling across the floor. These were the very same icicles Jaldabaot had tried to kill him with just several hours ago. The Destroyer had taken a few out of the wall and put them on the other angel’s bruised face in some form of a cold compress.
Frey looked at the Eon expectantly. The quite broken coffee table that he had kicked into the d

- Another Hero. Another Mindless Crime -
When you are stuck in an unfamiliar city in winter, at night, with bleeding wounds, no place to go to and no one to turn to, you don't really care where you're going anymore, as long as the movement keeps you at least a bit warm. And when apart from all of the above, you also happen to be the Destroyer of Worlds, and the Light itself had given you the order that instantly turned your friends into your enemies and forced you to run from your home and go rogue, it seems that things just can't get any worse.
But, as you might already know, thinking that usually makes life prove you wrong.
And that's exactly what happened, when Daimon Frey wandered into a dark alley crowded with policemen, simply to get distracted from his own problems and also because he was mildly curious about the reason for such commotion among the humans. The cars packed with law-enforcement and an ambulance appeared to have just arrived, for their object of in

- One Last Hope -
Sticking to the roofs, while trying to come up with a decent plan of action, Daimon managed to somehow avoid the Kingdom's armed forces, that stubbornly patrolled the streets below, searching for him. There was at least three times more of them today. After his previous sightings in this area, Michael and Gabriel had obviously deployed more troops to this location, hoping to score a swift capture. Frey wondered with morbid humour, if the entire Hosts would come down from the Heavens and break camp in this city if he had a whim to stay here for longer.
Either way, it got too risky to stay down on the streets. From time to time a shape of a soldier would fly up several streets away, to take a look at the area below, but on each of those occasions Daimon made sure to get out of their line of sight.
His wounds kept bleeding under the bandages his enemy had been forced to provide and right now Daimon felt like the blood that escaped them was freezing inste

Rudy smiled contentedly. He had just made sure for the sixth time, that everything was absolutely perfect. Each of the black candles was exactly on spot, while the intricate lines and shapes painted on the floor were so precise that they could be mistaken for the work of Leonardo da Vinci, if only da Vinci had been known for drawing pentagrams and other occult symbols. All those runes and signs were supposed to protect the summoner from the demons and at the same time help him enslave them and make them do everything he pleased.
Which was exactly what had not happened the last time Rudy tried to perform the ritual of summoning. That time when a black, angry, crazy-eyed son of a bitch with feathery black wings came out from the summoning circle like it was nothing more than a bunch of scribbles drawn by a five year old, and along with another jackass from Hell made him do their bidding instead. Which included running to the town for cigs, whiskey

- Eyes on Fire -
“Rise and shine, Destroyer, we have a busy day!” someone’s enthusiastic voice awakened Abaddon on a sunny winter morning.
Frey cracked his eyes, instantly alert. The voice was all too familiar and his instincts screamed at him to jump up and grab the nearest weapon-like object but the memories kicked in at the same time, stopping him.
Luckily for Jaldabaot, however, the previous day was not something Daimon could easily forget.
He still didn’t know how to feel about any of this, but at least yesterday he ate, washed and then he slept a good night’s sleep. His wounds were no longer bleeding either and that made everything much easier. And cleaner.
He saw that the complex tattoos on his hands were gone and his hair was still ashen brown, as Jaldabaot made it after Daimon had objected to the initial blonde color. As much as he despised the Eon, he could appreciate a disguise that did not disappear overnight. If what the demi
