In pain,
A wreck,
Used.
I’m out of control,
Spiraling downwards,
I want to escape,
I want to find peace.
One pill.
Two pills.
Three.
Four.
I overdose on pills,
That I shouldn’t even have.
I fell myself sky rocket upwards,
I’m feeling free and light weight.
You can’t touch me,
You can’t hurt me.
You can’t do anything to me.
I’m invisible.
Higher, higher.
I want to go higher.
I want to feel a thrill,
I want to feel that sick pleasure of happiness.
I want to escape.
My world melts around me,
Illusions swirl around me,
I stare with wide eyes,
And laugh.

I take in a shaky breath,
Almost on cue,
I start to sob.
Hysterically.
I throw the bottles within my hands,

I hear them smash into the wall,
They spill everywhere.

I fall,
And hit the ground.
I curl, sobbing.
I look towards my pills,
So many,
Too many.
