Dear Princess Celestia,
I have recently learnt a very important lesson on the subject of friendship, however this letter includes not only this latest lesson, but also a request I wish to make of you on behalf of one my newest friends. You may know her as 'The Great and Powerful Trixie'; magician, performer and famous showpony. Before, I ask so much of you, however, I think you need to know and understand the events that led not only to this most imposing of appeals, but also to her becoming one of my closest and most treasured friends.
Before anything else, I must tell you of how I first met Trixie. I understand you probably know of the Ursa Minor attack on Ponyville quite a while ago, and may have heard of Trixie's involvement (or lack of) in its safe return to the Everfree Forest. Then, I, like many other ponies, found her self-obsessed, standoffish and, put bluntly, rather annoying and irritating.
Now I shall skip ahead to a few weeks ago, when she returned to Ponyville.

Marceline woke up with a splitting headache and clothes that were so torn and trashed they showed more than they covered.
"Ohh...", she groaned, " I really must stop getting in drinking contests with ghosts...what did I do...where am I?"
