Where there is will, there is pain
Timo is 22. He used to do gymnastics in the Finnish national team. He wouldn't let something little come in the way. It's not that he is a perfectionist, he just wanted everything. Or at least a Masters of Science and to be a top athlete.
Then Timo got an ear infection, not exactly a major illness, but that's when things started to go wrong. After a few weeks of tinnitus and antibiotics he got well again. Almost. He was more tired than usual and started struggling with brainfog.
Six months later the doctor of the Olympic committee diagnosed Timo with mycoplasma, a bacterial infection which is usually only a short-lived problem, but sometimes becomes chronic. The first round of antibiotics tided him over for 2-3 months, the second for a month. The third one no longer did anything.
This was in 2007. Despite not feeling well Timo spent the summer training, hoping to be among the three athletes to gain the coveted spot in the Word Championship team. Train
UnexpectShe wasn't so much Afraid of Change as Slothfully Comfortable with How Things Were. Change was Highly Inconvenient and therefore Avoided At All Costs. There were Problems and Pitfalls and Grievances, yes, but she was so very Content to Wallow in Mediocrity that she had forgotten the Door to her mind was left wide open so that the winds of the world blew in all manner of Debris; her mind was so very stuffed with a sort of Blissful Apathy that she did not notice the Debris. Her brain was constantly in a state of Sublime Lethargy, a state in which people, events, and the world in general sort of smear themselves across one's consciousness in a manner not unlike a filthy hand rubbing across a fogged window.Unexpect4 years ago in Free Verse More Like This

A flight of words that bear no chirp
are none the less profound.
They don't perch on a pitch.
They don't possess the need .
They fly until you've seen their song,
then silently recede.
No one could find more freedom than
the freedom granted flight.
No one can see more beauty than in
words passed left to right.
A Small DiamondFinding that special someone,A Small Diamond2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Is like finding a small diamond in a dusty attic.
At first it seems like there is none,
But you soon become ecstatic.
A tiny rock among all the junk,
So dirty, filthy, and buried.
You go to wash off the funk,
And carefully into the sun it's carried.
The stone so sparkly and bright,
Rainbows come forth showing its true;
Revealing everything is alright,
Who knew it would be YOU?

Today is no longer today they say
There can be no future for us
Always will problems rear their ugly head
Being placed in the Moon's complete white glare
Coal sparkles empty-like leaving the ground bleak
No doubt bespeaking the diamonds that lay underneath
They say that the future just may be destroyed
Diamonds shattering like glass to settle a bed of death
Under blue tinted white light, the couple remains, scattered
Walking each a different lonely and broken path
To you, my loveAlthough we are far apart,To you, my love3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
I feel we are close to our hearts.
Although we fight,
We fight for each other.
Although we can't touch
You have touched my soul.
Although things are hard,
We have pulled through.
Although we are different,
We mostly act as one.
Although you have hurt me,
I still love you because I know you didn't mean it.
Although you say you are not important,
You are the most important person in the world to me.
Although you may tell me to go,
I'll stand by you.

Exists a place left torn apart
A hole my friend did occupy
My dearest friend too young to die
His memories float through my mind
But, memories are all I find
He is gone and I bereft
An empty space is all that's left
He is better off today
His pain and suffering gone away
Cancer can exact its toll
But, cancer can not take a soul
I wonder what he'd have to say
To hear me carry on this way
Yet, he is gone and I remain
With wounded heart and much disdain.

Lost, confused, afraid, abused.
Seeking a moment's peace,
Even death would be a blessing.
One day they find each other.
Life has new meaning.
Every day is now filled with her song.
The song of Compassion is music to his ears.
His heart is forever changed.
He runs to catch a glimpse of her
Each and every day.
She waits for him and her heart leaps
As he enters the room.
Their hearts become entwined,
Entangled, to the point
They can never be pulled apart.
Never before have they met in person,
A virtual room is all they have ever known.
Their bond is special, formed sight unseen.
Powerful words pull them closer together.
One day he leaps up to meet her.
She leaps up to meet him.
They gaze upon one another for the first time.
In that moment, the world stops turning.
She is so beautiful.
He is everything she imagined.
Their hearts are one.
No turning back now.
To this day his heart remains hers.
Her heart remains his.

Victim VenomWhen someone gets hurt, sometimes abused or so deeply cut to the core, sometimes, it creates a venom sack.Victim Venom3 years ago in Philosophical More Like This
That venom is the pure unadulterated pain from the injury.
We all have them. These buried hurts and pains.
And we carry them with us, throughout our lives, shading everything we do. Every interaction we have with others. Another tint to our own glasses that we view the world through.
And sometimes they spill. The venom sack bursts and contaminates our emotional systems.
But we feel like it isn't our fault! We were victims! Someone DID THIS TO US!
And so that is the whole purpose of this Victim Venom. We can be nasty to others because they fit the bill as to those who have harmed us. Their fault, not ours. No. They are just like those who have hurt us so deeply.
And the venom spreads.
The important part is to be aware of this. To go into things knowing that it could possibly rise to the surface and taint our lives and the lives of others around us.
Any time you start to feel victim

Seizing their every chance
To reflect scant naked souls
Uncaring eyes look away
For there's nothing to a reflection
Majestic views pass by entirely ignored
With millions of voices screaming to be heard
Mighty mazes in laid corridors
Every cranny hiding a new treasure
That seekers of loot can never pilfer
As they may never spot its major splendor
With limitless fractures
Containing every potential place
Yet none bother to spare a simple glance
Floods their halls in sorrow
For their story will never be trodden
And their presence shall be eternally forgotten
A Life LessonA Life Lesson2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
In the days of my adolescence
My reminiscing mind
Remembers a young child
Who stands on the sands of time
It was a beautiful summer day
Clear blue skies above
Warm wind, sparkling water
And one foolish decision
That turns pleasant memories to cold
The child wanted an adventure
To explore a place she saw
She wanted to wade
To a not so distant shore
The sandbar was not too far away
She could see it with her eyes
But her parents warned her to be wary
Of the changing of the tides
They cautioned her to call for them
When she became discontent
And wanted to go return
So that they could get her in the boat
Instead of being carried
Where the waters went
The expedition was a breeze
And the view from the new ground
Was quite a grandiose sight
But not long after her discovery
The child grew tired of her new find
She then gazed back longingly
To the place she had recently left behind
And with a brief moment of contemplation
She decided swim back to that beach
That had been so easy to leave before
Nice GuyI'm the nice guy. The patient guy. A hopeless romantic that's so patient, so patient, I'll wait until heaven and hell burn at each other's borders. The love that oozes from my pores could fill a fucking ocean with the burning intensity of lava, and I know why, I know why: it's because my heart is bottomless. My heart clings and grasps for the warm, soft, and gentle. Certainly do I yearn for loving hands that won't turn to weapons with nails that're emblazoned with the crimson tears pouring from my flesh, from my veins, from my heart, and from the rot that dwells in the darkness of every square inch of my mind. I scream aloud, for all to hear, that I hunger for love.Nice Guy9 months ago in Emotional More Like This

When I Was YoungerI was always a person of high tastes even in my youth, using a bathroom at a Gas Station was disgusting, if I am going to go to a disgusting toilet it is going to be in a bar. Well before I was 21 when I went somewhere it was always by taking the back roads. Now back to the story. You can drive for miles and not find a place to shop but you can almost always find a Gas Station or a Bar.When I Was Younger2 years ago in Profiles More Like This
This story starts by going for one of those rides and this time we were driving the border of my State, so when I had to go to the bathroom we were not even sure what State we were in, both of us thought we were in the home state and when we found the bar we were correct. You have to remember back then cell phones were the size of a brick so everybody still used pay phones, so I called home and told them where I was and besides drinking we were going to get something to eat (lie) and I would be home later.
As my friend and I were sitting at the bar having a beer this elderly lady came up to me and thank

I hate this place
It's worse than Hell
The smell is like antiseptic
It's almost too clean
And it's too bright
The florescent lights burn my eyes
The screams are making my ears ring
The straight jacket is straining my arms
The only thing that doesn't inflict pain
Is the white padded wall at my side
It's my only friend in this wretched place
So I always curl close to it
And whisper sweet nothings into its ear
I know that it can hear me
Because it often returns the favor
In its sweet, whispery voice

As the gods united against us
Cursed us all without knowing our mistakes

It shall hear your stories of melancholy and judge your cries''
''Speak oh mortals... Wanderers of the night ''
Wanderers of the night
''Near the sea we were placed by thee
Feeding on empty shells and cursing the waves of the mad sea
For hundreds of years we lived and died next to the sea
We did no harm nor we ever slumbered upon the soil or deceived
For this we are only meant to be forsaken by all that sees
Even by flowers... Oh their smell always ease our screams ''

With no woman nor life you were created to be
A reminder of the infinite misery

The curse is yet to be revealed
But to the caves of Canaanites your journey will lead ''
Through the sea oh the mad waves are hunting me

This isn't one of the usual stories. This is a story from the outside world. It's about something that happened to me back then. I still think about it somtimes, even tho it isn't that special or anything.
Back then my sister used to care for a horse while its owner was away. Sometimes I went with her. It wasn't that close to home but it was always a nice trip and we used to listen to the radio rock classics and sing along all the way there. And then sis would be out training with that horse (she made me ride it sometimes, once without saddle - that was quite an adventure).
Sometimes I just stood by watching, sketching the horse from different angles. Sometimes I accompanied her on my bike when she went out in the forest and stuff (the horse would always compete with me about who could go the fastest. She always won...).
Anyway. There was this one time when I felt like going for a walk. It was probably one of the last times I went to that place with sis, because

She taints me in sin, the girl doesn't have a prayer

She spins on her heel and runs, I'm done with this, I swear.

All snuggled in his warm bed, little Timmy didn't care for the pouring rain or occasional thrashing wind. Inside the house warm and dry was Timmy and his parents, while out there there was something darker than the storm.
Shielded by shadows and a curtain of rain at night not a soul witnessed the wandering creature. He stood before the house, searching. Gliding to a window he opened it.
The sudden chill raced through little Timmy while trying to dig deeper into the blanket. The sound of rain increased in his ears. Groaning, he cracked open his eyes and saw the opened window. Sliding out of bed, little Timmy closed the window and retreated, eager to revive his dreamland.
The creature in the corner stepped forth, long arms reaching for little Timmy. Tentacles slithered from behind and slowly wrapp

No one else just you and I
Wanna bring the fire and I wanna be burned
I'm not in love so don't be fooled
I see your eyes but I don't need that
You right next to me and that's all I want
Your body calling me and I feel a lot
But I never wanted more, you know I don't
Perfect body, gentle skin, sweet and tasty lips
That's all you and that's all I need
You're moving very slow to me
But let me be, that girl I want to be
Have you ever done this before?
Scream so much and begging for some more
Your eyes are full of desire
Your hands burning me like fire
I feel you inside me, I feel and I like it
So, please just go on I really want it more
I hear your hard breathing it's over my neck
We're moving so far so just don't go back
Your body on red silk sheets
So good that I can feel a heat
I don't remember your name
I didn't call for a fate
Few hours ago since we met
And now making love in your bed
So real but in the morning I'll go
It's not a love it's just a pass

Iroh glared out of the window of the train and observed the new environment. The upper ring had clearly more class than the lower ring, the houses seemed very nice. The ma
