SO I was thinking it would be really cool to cosplay as a Nightingale. And then I started drawing the armor.

Well, I think it might be possible. It would just be very hard.

Finally Some Progress. The mannequin of duct tape has been really helpful. I'm gonna figure out the back today and get the skirt/belt taped together, and then I can finally order some craft foam.

Oh gods I have no idea how to catagorize this. :P there's no papercraft section under fanart that I can find ;__;

It's not a very good picture, but I've been thinking about doing Nightingale cosplay (insane, I know) and this is the first step: mini paper prototype! I'm thinking it's actually plausible. It'll be a godawful amount of layers and quite a lot of material (whatever I happen to use), but... plausible.

This is from Skyrim in case you didn't already know somehow, haha...

Well here is the start of my armor for Karliah from Skyrim in her Nightingale armor.

Its all craft foam, 2mm and hot glue is used where the black lines are, the lower half has not had its detailing glued together yet.
It is still yet to be painted and some parts are only sticked on with tape for the moment.
Ignore the thicker black lines, that's where I made some errors, but they will not be noticeable once painted.

Arm armor has been made, but the mannequin does not have arms so..anyway haha

1st of 3, for my group Skyrim group of the Nightingales: Karliah, Brynjolf and the Dragonborn.
I'll be making all three, two female and one male. Fun times ahead haha ^.^

Took a break from costume work but finally my motivation returned.

Bad picture of me wearing what I have finished so far: 31.media.tumblr.com/de28cbaea9…

What's left to do?

Shoulders - figure out how to attach them (more) comfortable
Sew side flaps onto the shirt worn under the chest piece to mimic the protective side flaps of the armor
Props - Nightingale blade? Bow?

Optional:
Make this a Khajiit and forget about the mask...
Paint the symbol silver

This is my FiancÚ, DarkSnip3r's, Nightingale cosplay from the Theives Guild quest line in Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. He's debuting this costume at PAX East and plans on doing a photoshoot in the following weeks.

We'll also be hoping to put a write up on how we completed this armor in a few weeks on Assassionista.com. Stay tuned!
