Nox stood up, keeping her aching wings folded. "Arcanum," she began.
Arcanum looked back at her.
"I can't fly yet." She said shyly, her aching wings like shadows at her sides.
"We can walk." He began gently, stepping back to her and licking her face. "You're okay, Nox. You're alive. I'll heal you as we walk, okay?"
"How far away are the Breathing Forests?" Nox asked, getting to her feet.
"Not sure, let's just head in the direction Saevus pointed." Arcanum replied. His horns began to glow a faint blue and Nox's a faint white. A faint beam made its way from Arcanum's horns to Nox's.
"What if Saevus was an illusion?" Nox asked.
"If he was an illusion," Arcanum began, "He would not have been able to heal us."
"Nox nodded and stopped. "Arcanum." She whispered. "Look, up there." Nox stared at what appeared to be a dragon flying low. The dragon descended, touching down near them. She folded her wings.

Mortem"Nox!" Arcanum roared, haste and fear rising in his voice. He was tense, his muscles tightening as adrenaline flowed freely through his body. His eyes further slitted and a slight red glow commenced. His fangs were bared, and a small strand of saliva dripped, splattering onto the cold hard surface below. "Nox!" "Pax?" he whispered under his breath.Mortem3 years ago in Short Stories More Like This

Arcanum cautiously trotted forth, keeping his strong wings folded at his sides. The clattering sound of his claws scraping across the ground was the only sig

Krypton." Xenon stood up, his bright white scales gleamed in the sunlight bathing Noble. He opened his silver wings, the sunlight gleamed from their surface.
"Yes?" Krypton asked, basking in the sun's rays, his golden scaly hide, creating small spotty reflections.
"How's for a flight?" Xenon began, arching his neck to sniff the air. I'll outfly you today." He flashed Krypton a toothy grin.
Krypton huffed, clawing gently at the ground. "You can't outfly me. You never have." He gloated as he stood up. He was slightly taller than Xenon. "But, we shall see!" Krypton whipped out his long, beautiful silvery wings and raised his tail.
Xenon leaped up first before Krypton could orient himself for a leap.
"Xenon!" Krypton protested, jumping into the air after him, his powerful back legs flexing and the air being forced under his wings. "Xe
